Saturday, big day for someone special

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Saturday, big day for someone special

Postby carolb » Sat Jun 30, 2018 4:49 am

Gmorning all :)

Well, I'm pretty sure Liz won't be reading the forum today--think she might be a bit busy ;) But I think I can say we're all thinking of her on her very special day today!!!!

So, I've missed a lot in the past few days...Wow, Martha, I love your new MH & the toad! I've always had small cars, would love that little on of yours:) Irmi, glad to see you're home safely, enjoying this heat wave that Sue, BJ, Tina & other midwesterners sent our way ;) Speaking of BJ, creepy thing about the robbery in your neighborhood & do hope they catch the guy. Oregon gtg--glad y'all had a great time....hmmm, what else?

So, yes, we had beautiful, perfect weather this past week. Knowing today would be the beginning of extreme heat & humidity, I enjoyed every minute being outside working or sitting in the yard. Did much thinking of all I can do inside during the next 5 or so days--probably will start with washing the inside of my windows...

Lyn, thanks for checking in for early roll call, reminding us all to give out that "rabbit" holler first thing tmrw:)
And of course, I'll most likely forget...

Y'all have a great day 8-)

Good Morning Carolb and all. Wonderful seeing you start coffee this morning Carol. Always loved your cheery posts.

I too have been thinking of Liz as her special day approached and now is here. Wishing the both of them all the happiness in the world. And like the rest of us, want pictures

Mighty warm in these parts this weekend. Excessive heat warnings out from later this morning to late tomorrow morning, then a Cold front is supposed to come through and knock the humidity down. Up coming week looks pretty warm too. I have had my fan going non stop and the house closed up. Sofar except for last night, has been comfortable. Finally had to open bedroom window for awhile in wee hours of morning to let in some air. JudyJB, don’t change your plans for next summer cause of weather reports. Yes, we are having above normal temps right now and yes it has been pretty warm in southern MI and south. But up here in Northern MI and the U.P. We have been having beautiful weather. Highs were ranging from 60’s to low 70’s and lows in 40’s and 50’s. I actually was running my furnace in my trailer 4 days ago, But everybody has been remarking about beautiful the weather in June was. July and August, at least first part of Aug. is a mixed bag.

Off to the store this morning to get supplies for the next outing on Monday. Off to the U.P. for the week and then back for neighbors wedding next Saturday. Same scenario as Liz, widower meets widow in FL and will become husband and wife next weekend. I’m wishing them all the love and gphappiness in the world too.

Keep cool, hydrated and just relax in this heat wave, those of you affected by it. Have a great weekend, no matter though.

Good Morning Carolb, Sue and all who arrive later. I doubt we hear anything from Liz for awhile. Has anyone heard any of the wedding plans? The heat/humidity continues here and for the week ahead. :( I go out very early morning and late evening, and since everyone else is doing the same the days are long. The dogs aren't pestering to go out either. I'm going to see if anyone is set up early at the farmers market, blueberries are ripe!

I'm imagining Liz's day -- so much joy!

Drew and I are mostly going to be hiding out from the heat -- and the firecrackers! Lots of early celebration around here, and Drew hates big bangs!

Today is predicted to be the hottest day, so far, this year. We too plan to stay in. Have lots I can do. Mel had pulmonary visit yesterday for draining left chest and abdomen. He is hurting today, possibly due to changing fluid dynamics or being up and out in wheelchair. All I can do is keep him as comfortable as I can. Thinking of Liz and her new husband today with best wishes for much happiness. Stay safe in the heat everyone who is in warm spots. At least next week we are supposed to cool down maybe to 87 for 4th.
Hope I remember rabbits! I could use good luck here,

Wish I could send you all just a bit of our cold air here. It got down to 37 last night and 43 the night before, so I have been running furnace at night AND partly through the day! Also, it rained on and off yesterday, so postponed laundry until today. Got three loads in. Sun is partly out today, and it is supposed to get to a whopping 63 today and 67 tomorrow! That will be good driving weather, at least.

I will keep that in mind, Sue, but how are the mosquitoes?? I know. I am really picky. I was even thinking about going up into the UP, but my Ohio grandkids will want to see a lot of me also. They were complaining this week that I spend more time with the California grandkids.

Do you think Liz is going on a honeymoon? Hope she sends us some photos of the wedding. It is always nice when someone finds someone at our age. :P

Judy anymore I think that two people finding each other is always amazing and wonderful. I friend a
long time ago made a comment regarding their cousin and that he might be gay. My response was love is more difficult to find and maintain as one might presume and I will send my blessings to anyone who finds it.

Judy, where are you that it's 37? I feel like heading there. It's 94 here. If I just walk outside I have sweat poring off me without even doing anything. I am surprised that our mosquitos haven't been bad this year. Usually, the dear flies get bad in the summer and they haven't been bad. I might only have to kill one when I walk the dog.

I headed out in the motorhome this morning to get an inspection sticker and the place I always go was closed for vacation. :x So I just went to Walmart.

Keystone only has a high of low/mid 60's today. Back into the 70's tomorrow. I'm midway between Keystone and Rapid City... All of about 10 miles from the store. But it's a mini vacation LOL! It's drizzling and could storm but should end by evening. Tomorrow I'll go into Rapid and shop... For me and for the store.

Nothing says I can't boondock here, so let's hope I don't get rousted lol

My signal is coming and going... Waiting for it to come back so I can submit this.

Am in West Yellowstone, Martha. Elevation is over 6,500 feet. 37 was low last night. Right not it is 61. Going to get a little warmer rest of week.

Liz, happy thoughts to you & Bob!

It is 93 here in the campground in MD and we will be about 96-97 tomorrow and Monday. I will take the warmer temperatures any day. I don't care for cold. Pizza fest is tonight. So we're off to that soon.

Worked today til 3. Went to WM to pick up some things I needed. Should have eaten first because i ended up with a lot of snacks!

The weather here has been perfect! Low 70's, sunny, and breezy every day.

Planning to go to the Fair tomorrow. Then next week will start working on the master bed/bath painting.

Hoping Liz had a wonderful ceremony today and is happily married by now. Am also anxious to see photos and hear more about this new husband of hers!

Don't forget to say "rabbits" after midnight!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
