Wish it were a dull Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wish it were a dull Wednesday

Good Morning from Wilkesboro NC -

In response to Dull Tuesday - Well I always appreciate the dull days - when nothing needs fixing!

I have a leaky skylight over the shower. Monday the front right tire of the Sling fell off the trailer because the wet back tire fishtailed as I was loading the Sling on the trailer. Took a little chunk out of the tire - that'll be $223. My generator hasn't been working and the next thing to check is the sparkplug which is not visible and is accessed through a tiny hole. Just got an estimate $239.50! I do believe a Honda generator is in my future because I'll be dry camping at Assateague Island next month. With a toolbox on the trailer, I now have a good place to carry a gas can for the Honda. Just life and bumps in the road.

I am a lurker here for the most part. Sandi, your new cabinet fronts are beautiful. You gals trying to get over some bug, hope it goes away soon. I don't usually have an issue, but the pollen really got me more than once this year. Hope you all enjoy whatever trips you have planned this summer! Always have Velda and Mel in my prayers.

Morning, Anita.

I remember those time with anything motorcycle related costing the earth, apparently RVs are the same way.

Absolutely nothing planned today, think I'll read a research new phones, mine seems to be dying and it's my only internet access.

Just getting up and ready to head to the airport.

Looks like the weather in MN will be in the upper 70's to low 80's, so that will be good (compared to their 90's and 100 degrees last week!).

Martha, I also still have my lingering cough. Talking and eating seem to be the big triggers for me. No coughing at night tho, which is nice!

Have a good day, dull or otherwise! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Mornin' Anita, Mickie, Barbie & all that follow~~~

Anita, can you put guide rails on the trailer for the SS? Cover in pool noodles so if it fishtaila again it wouldn't slide off the trailer. Just me having a random thought.

Last full day today in The Badlands. Wind storm last night that got all the campers out talking and taking pics of a beautiful sunset & other worldly shadows in the park.

Blew yesterday in Rapid City looking for a truck so I can get a gennie. Nothing wrong with the Expedition, I just dont want to haul a gennie in the back & get the gas fumes.

Will be back in IL on the 18th for 2 months to visit the folks & deal with some Ma issues. Right in the humid & tornado season! Ugh!

That's all from me. Have a great day & stay safe on the roads.

Just relaxing after my exciting day yesterday. So nice to be able to eat again.

Trying to decide what time to go to town. My meeting isn't until 6:30 so don't want to go too early and have to go to town twice. At the rate I'm moving I won't be going early. I could go in the camper to get the tire looked at and I would have a place to hang out.

Today is day 5 of radiation for Mel, the final day. He is not feeling well from the high dose, but did drink his food this morning, which helps hydration and nutrition. Now it appears Pulmonary Dr will have to replace or at least put sutures in current chest tube as the little collar that belongs under skin to hold it, isn't and it's out about quarter inch! It's always something! He is in ok mood and was up to check his blood sugar and take pills, where yesterday he barely got out of bed. I need to hire a secretary! I have so many errands I need to run, but no one can understand Mel on phone so I have to be here to answer questions, make appointments, etc. guess they can just wait!
Beautiful day out and I'm leaving shortly for Curves. At least one thing for me today!
Have a good day all.

Just getting on before midnight here in MN.

My flight was fine. Had to wait in line for ever for the car rental but once I got to the check in desk, since they didn't have any economy cars left, I ended up getting a brand new (26 miles on it) Ford Mustang in electric blue!! I had to ask someone how to start it! Never seen the push button thing before. I got to my friends house just before dark luckily since I couldn't figure out how to turn the headlights on. One feature of this car is a lighted horse (mustang) figure that shows up on the ground next to the front doors. Will have to get a photo of that.

Not sure what I will be doing tomorrow. May just go visit my old shop and stop to see my brother who lives near there. Will be seeing my daughter on Friday morning. My other brother is having a cookout for the family on Sunday evening. Will make plans with other friends on Friday afternoon or Saturday.

My friend I am staying with lives next door to my dad's old house. The new owner is neglecting it and it looks really run down. No one is even living in it right now. My friend thinks he may be planning to sell it. He was going thru a divorce when he bought it so maybe his financial situation changed and he can't afford to keep it. He had planned to tear it down and rebuild but no sign of that happening. One of the neighbors is mowing the grass for him so at least that much is getting done.

Looks like I will get to experience a thunder storm on Friday. I miss those! Hopefully nothing severe tho.
