Sunny Cool Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunny Cool Saturday

Postby asirimarco » Sat Jun 03, 2017 9:35 am

Good Morning to All - been a long time since I've opened Morning Coffee. BTW we have a new coffee maker and it makes wonderful coffee help your self.
We are on the road and today in Williams, AZ nice and cool out woke up to 55 with the little heater running for the chill. I love it, Bill will probably we wearing long johns. It is over 6500 feet here, yesterday was a high of 83 - when we left Vegas in the morning it was already 80.
We'll be here for a few days, maybe go to Grand Canyon to look around, haven't been there for years. Then on to Utah.
Have already had to buy something to replace the one I lost here in the RV and cannot find. For any of you heading west this summer Interstate 40 in Arizona is one of the worst highways around. They are slowly working on it but most is really rough.
Barbi nice remarks from your boss. Have a fun trip west, be careful and watch weather really closely.
Isn't it aggravating to get your RV back and something still doesn't work. Our navigation/ back camera system was supposed to be fixed. Works fine when we are running. Drive one mile and it quits. Grrr. Wrote about our first day on road in the blog yesterday. http://travelinginrvandlivinginlasvegas.blogspot.com/
Hope everyone's day is great.

Good morning. Carol on my trip to AZ last month, I noticed a lot of the highways were as bad as some in CA.

Do those copper chef pans come in smaller sizes? What is your favorite thing to use it for? You must like it to get one for the RV also.

Carol, I read your blog and you better learn how to drive the RV. It would be nice to have a place to go when it gets really hot besides in the air conditioning. I don't think the highest hill in Louisiana would be that much cooler. lol

Not much going on here. I decided to cook something for lunch. Having to serve 3 meals a day will get really old. I was use to only cooking a few times a week. I see some TV dinners in our future. It looks like it could rain again. It has rained almost every day in the last week. The grass could stand to be mowed again but don't know when we can mow again.

Hot one in Mn & WI, at least it is to us,lol. Nice and sunny and looks like it will be this way for the week.
Sue sorry to hear you are still having problems with your slide, hope you get it fixed soon and that you don't have any problems on your trip.
Barbie when are you planning on heading west? I know you had originally said after Labor Day but since your plans have changed how does your trip look now? I will be leaving on my trip out west on the 11th as long as no problems arise.

Went to my granddaughters pre-school graduation yesterday, the kids are so cute ! they sang a few songs, got a folder with some papers and the teacher said something special to each child, then they had ice cream after. It is so heartwarming when your granddaughter yells out "grandma, I'm so happy you are here, I love you" in front of everyone. We had a wonderful time.

Safe travels everyone .

Good morning
got my dash mat cut to fit but still need to make
the cuts for the defroster holes. I can do that on
the road if I want. I'm at hat point where I just
want to get on the road and get started. Next
weekend is trip with grandson and mom n dad. Jack
is so excited to go camping. After that trip I'll be able
to get last minute cleaning and packing and sing the tune.
You know the one,,,,,,"On the road again,,,,,"
I'm done outside for the day, tvs on for noise and getting
indoor chores done.
Y'all have a great day, be safe.

Carol, I know positively that I have $100 hidden in my motorhome for emergencies. Except I have looked for the past year and cannot find it! I keep hoping it will magically appear. Also, I am going to be in Trailer Village in Grand Canyon June 12-21, so look me up if you are there then. North RIm might be easier to get into, and cooler, although South RIm is not bad temperature-wise. My son and his family are meeting me there from the 18th to 21.

And, Alice, no reason you cannot finish those tasks on the road. Just toss in whatever you need to do them and GO!!!!

I am at a super-bargain COE campground near Abiquiu, NM--only $8 senior price for a water and electric site with a lake and a view! Semester is winding down, so I will mostly be just relaxing and working. Got to clean my bike up, however, and see if I can find the loose connection that is causing it to cut out occasionally.

Also have to post some photos of my bike ride around Taos yesterday. Found a free public parking lot for motorhome, and then just rode around town. There is an art museum in the artist's home. Art was OK, but home was fascinating as this man hand-carved almost all the woodwork. This included cabinets, cabinet and closet doors, furniture, stairway, railings, and a lot more. Check out my blog later tonight and visit this place next time you are in Taos.

Lost my latest workamper yesterday. Between dealing with that in the morning, taking Peaches to the vet where I learned her kidney elevations are elevated again (I believe I'm partly to blame as for two years I'd kept them good and had increased the amounts of protein I was allowing her, probably too much :( ), then back to work close with Linda ... Which I'll be doing lots of most likely, working at least part of both shifts on days this person was scheduled until I find someone else. I'm more upset about Peaches, so treated her to an extra long walk this morning, including an off leash romp in the cemetery. I know she was enjoying that extra protein... And it's gone. 4 weeks and new testing. I will be good even as she gives me those "eyes".

If any of you have ever considered workamping, this is a good, fun, gig... Even though it does require some work... If love to talk to you if interested.

Have a great day and enjoy!

It is hot here and a little humid. Worked all day today. Have tomorrow off.

Rosemary, I will be leaving here (fingers crossed) on June 30th. Will spend a week or so in Keystone with Beth and Linda before heading to Yellowstone and beyond.

My camper is all ready to get picked up from the RV shop. Just need to load it up, pack up and ship the rest of my stuff and then hit the road! :D (I still need to sell my other Jeep but that will hopefully sell quickly once I get the ad on CL tonight).

Have a good evening!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
