THURSDAY AND COLD AGAIN

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

THURSDAY AND COLD AGAIN

Postby Nasoosie » Thu Apr 30, 2009 4:01 am

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

Another day below freezing----24 here this morning. Supposed to be another sunny day, however, and that will warm it up quite well. I just hope my baby lilacs, still mostly within their protective bud shells, can survive.

Coffee is instant Hazlenut this morning, as I'm saving the last of my yesterday's brewed Hazlenut Creme for my travel mug later! But c'mon in and sit a spell and let us know what's up in your world. Both coasts are to be nice for travel, although the mid sections of the country are getting flooding-type rains. Some places are still getting snow in Idaho!

The Swine Flu is still on the move, although it's still too early in its life to know just how expansive it will become, and how deadly. I was reading about the Asian Flu that broke out in the 50s, and I guess that was definitely a pandemic, too, although we didn't know it at the time. I survived that onslaught, and I hope to survive this one, too.

I hope you can all find something fun to do within the confines of your 'safe' areas until this disease runs its course. Sounds like a good time to break out the knitting needles and crochet hooks and beads and what-all else!

Keep us informed.....catch you all later.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Hey Soos,.... we only had 31° here down in the valley. Brrrr..... but by now ( almost 10 a.m. ) it's warming up and the sun is shining brightly.

I'll be having a busy day,... work until 3:15, dentist at 3:30 and then drive to Ticonderoga for a wake. But it's almost the weekend so all is well.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hey Soos!

Ya'll can come out here with Kelly and I, it's gonna be in the 80's today with a breeze. Got lots of room for another tent in our tent site. :D
No peepers tho.

The wind aside here in AZ and the squalling brat a few sites over??? The very worst thing about this campground??? Is that there are no campfires allowed? I am gonna pick up one of those duraflame logs and have a campfire in the grill!!! Not the real thing but it will have to do in the pinch! ;)

Echo, I hate when campfires aren't allowed. That, for me, is one of the very best parts of camping. I sure as heck wish those propane campfires weren't so darned expensive!

Can you post any pictures of your current digs? And the pooch?

Echo,.... is it very dry there, no rain in a while? That could be the reason for no campfires. I know we need more rain here as the woods are very dry right now.

Hope you get a good tarp to keep your campsite dry! Good luck!
