Sunny Thursday!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunny Thursday!

Postby BarbaraRose » Thu Apr 06, 2017 8:20 am

Good morning gals! Looks like I am first up and on today!

The sun is shining and am hoping it gets close to 60 today. Dr appt this morning to renew a prescription (finally got back on my health insurance!). Need to set up appointments now for physical, mammo, eyes, etc.

Hopefully the photographer will show up today to take inside pics of the house so we can get this listed on MLS tomorrow. The street sweepers are going up and down the street here this morning for the spring cleaning. Perfect timing! They just put all new curbing and pavement in this neighborhood last summer and it looks so nice! The city even decided not to assess anyone for the cost of that. Like my brother said, the sun and the moon and the stars are all aligning just right for selling this house!

I saw a TT on CL last night that has the perfect layout I have been wanting but haven't found yet until now, so now I know it does exist! If the house sells and it is still available, I may go take a look at it. It is about an hour and a half away from here. It is a 2006 21' Keystone Springdale. Has a separate bed, dinette and a couch (no slide), a shower/tub, and a stove/oven. GVWR is 4100 lbs so I could tow it home at least. Will still get a bigger tow vehicle. Could spend the summer getting used to it on short jaunts before taking it out west. My dream is getting closer...!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Oh, Barbie, it would be awesome if timing could work out and that could be your rv. Good luck.

I spent last night at the Maxwell Wildlife Refuge. We have the place to ourselves. Might be the cold lol... Was low to mid-20's overnight. Only 32 now. But the sun is shining and the water is full of birds. As is the area beyond the water. Lots of animals, too. I haven't decided if I'll stay here until tomorrow yet. But there's a good chance of it.

Peaches enjoyed going, briefly, in the water yesterday. She loved more finding the larger patches of snow and rolling in them.

Everyone traveling and sitting still, stay safe!

Good morning. A cool, wet day today. Just misty right now but heavier rain to come later and snow tomorrow. It was a beautiful day yesterday, sunny and warm. I noticed my flowers were blooming out front ao wonder what will happen to them when it snows! I did spend the day outside yesterday but never did clean off the porch! I got started cleaning up all the leaves that I missed last fall and the ones that blew in from wherever. Cleaned up the yard from the dogs and realized how long the grass is already! Sue, when we get the nice weather you're sending, I'll need to mow! Next week looks like it'll be fairly nice so hope to get out and do all the clean up that needs done.

Velda, hope the stress test goes okay tomorrow for Mel. Barbie, sounds like you're getting closer to your dream. Hope the TT is still available when you're ready for it. Shelia, glad you made it to SLC even with the glitch with the tires. Beth, jello plans are good! Never know what will crop up! Glad we decided to put off taking our RV's to Jim today. We can deal with the rain but the wind is starting to pick up and neither of us want to deal with that!

Need to get moving, already dressed since I had to run out and get my garbage can out of the road! At least it hadn't gotten hit or blown down the road! Have a wonderful day and stay safe.

Two mi utes to noon here, so just getting under the wire. Been busy this morning, shower, hair wash and then gave house a good cleabning. Weathervis wet outside. Winter storm is wimping out here. First there was a Winter Storm Watch, then this morni g Wnter Weather Advisories, now nothing. The supposedly 1-3 inches of wet snow is barely making an inch and mosly just on the grassy areas. Majority of it went off SE and is moving away. But it's really windy. O'Sharon, if you get it same way we are, won't hurt the posies.

Barb, hope the house sells quick so you can get your money. I like that floor plan as I have seen some of the Springdales. Likevyour brother said, things arevlining up.

Going to refine my route for PA trip this afternoon, so will be busy with computer for awhile, but first gotta fix hinge on one of my closet doors.

Beth, safe travels north.

Good Morning All, I am home! Very tired from all the driving, but, so happy to be home. Guess what we got in or neighborhood? Bud's Louisiana Express. And, they have Crawfish Etoufee!!! My daughter and I had lunch there yesterday and it was delicious. The resturant was doing a huge take-out business while we were there. I hope it lasts. Restaurants tend to not last around here.
Some changes in our staff while I was gone. Our 24 hour guards don't last long.
My trip was a huge success as I was able to meet so many of the Forum ladies (and Dave). I will be home for four months and then the next big trip on the agenda.
The horrible weather in the SE is worrisome. I hope Martha and Sarah remain OK.

Really rough night last night on my site with a beautiful view on the peninsula sticking out into Lake Lanier. Except being on a peninsula with trees only on the end, and not on where you are, is not good in a rain and wind storm! Winds started picking up around 11L00 pm. I went to bed, but could not sleep because of the rocking. Also, lots of rain and thunder! I was afraid my slide awnings would tear, so about 2:30 am, I got up, started my vehicle and put slides in. Less rocking, but since my motorhome is narrow in the middle, electric heater was not doing any good, so I turned it off.

So I turned on bedroom furnace, except end of bed where the main outlet is was too close to dresser, so not much warm air coming in. So I went back to living area and turned on the front furnace, except the thermostat kept clicking and turning itself off without producing any hot air. At this point, it is 3:30 or so, and I am still obviously wide awake and trying to keep warm. Wind seemed to be a little less, so at 4:30 am I opened slides again, and set up electric heater in living room and turned on bedroom furnace. Warm now, but wind kicked up again!! More rocking, which I tried to ignore. Anyway I managed to sleep from about 6 to 9 am, which isn't much. Got up, put slides in, unhooked, and went to dump station because tanks were full. 20 MPH wind, drizzle, and temp of 45 degrees! Brrrrr.

Stopped at Walmarts, and had to drive only 50 miles to place near my aunt and uncle's place, called to have Enterprise pick me up, and am finally back settled for the rest of today with the sun shining periodically. I got everything sorted and put away, so am finally sitting and relaxing. Whew. And am finally really, thoroughly warm, but temps will drop again tonight, so need to replace the thermostat. I have a replacement I got a couple of months ago when it was acting funny but did not install it because it started acting OK. Been fine since, but am going to just replace it. Going to bed early. :)

Sounds like we have multiple offers coming this weekend for at least asking price. I think there will be a bidding war! One of my haircutting customers wants it and is willing to let me live here for awhile until they get ready to tear it down. Will find out more tomorrow...

Oh, I hope this works out. But it's kind of sad that there's a bidding war to tear it down! Hope to hear it's a done deal quickly.
