Thurs. Feb. 23

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Thurs. Feb. 23

Morning,

Last days of February winding down. Has been feeling more like late March than February. Been enjoying it and know that even though winter will be back, it won't be for long. Been finding things to do outside, running some errands and enjoying some long dog walks these past few days. Gathering up items I need to finish some loose ends on winter house redoing projects. Even found the color curtains I have been looking for at a KMart in Grayling when I took a ride down there yesterday. And on sale to boot. Valances for kitchen and guest bathroom are on their way rom Houzz. Now to find curtains for my den and bedroom.

So later this morning, will go to town, pick up a few things and then hunker down and wait out the storm system that's coming. Forecast keeps changing. We can get and will get more snow, but the areas around us have none. And unless a couple storms wallop us, we can't pick up what has been lost this late in the winter. I don't care. Mind is on warm weather things now.

Tina, glad you are enjoying leisurely drive home, Martha, safe travels to the GTG, Barbie, so nice your old customers missed you. If people are interested in buying the house, maybe could negotiate a private sale and then you wouldn't have to do as much to get it ready to market. Hope those in CA are staying safe.

Enough rambling here. Time to get moving along. Ya'll have a nice day now.

I had a wonderful 10 hours of almost uninterrupted sleep last night! First night of more than 5 hours in a long time. My pulled shoulder/back muscle is much better and I took half a vicodin before I went to sleep. I feel 100% better. So went off to do a couple loads of laundry--nice thing about Florida state parks is that they all have washers and dryers. (Am at Myakka again for four days before I head to GTG at Hillsborough.)

Today is going to be laundry and grading papers day, with a little housecleaning and cooking ahead of time. Lot of rain last night and a bit drizzly today so not good for going out anyway.

Only negative is that I woke up to a huge mosquito bite on the back of my right knee. The rest had all healed up, and I was doing so well. Just took two Benadryl and might start my antibiotics again as this one looks like it might be slightly infected. I also will wash it with surgical scrub soap doctor gave me. :x

Judy, Bob and I bicycled Myakka Tuesday. Didn't know you were there :(. Ps. There is a Hertage festival on the 25th at Crowley Museum down the back entrance road not too far from Myakka

Judy, I, too, slept 10 hours last night! Boy did it feel good. I'm so lucky that Peaches has no problem letting me sleep in; she does the same.

I had a list of things to accomplish today. I'm not doing well with it. I do have the Blue Boy filled, but I'm watching lots of campers leaving late today (check out here is 11am) so I'm waiting a bit longer to avoid people at the dump. I traded the good blue boy. .. Of a different name, for a basic brand. I like it much better. The good one has its own hose inside it. Seems like such a good idea, but over time it rubs and makes for little leaks. They are ordering a new one, but gave me this... And with my own short hose, I'm liking it better. That said, if I was paying for a site at a cg, short or long term, I'd not carry one with me. Here it's great.

I have to get back to the library and finish my taxes. There's one area I always get confused and I think I have it figured out, so just need to add this info. That was supposed to be my morning task... Bet it gets done Saturday instead.

I'm only on meds as needed now for my asthma. I can feel a difference now that the one med was finished... But it's so much better. Fingers crossed. I hate taking any meds, but have to admit, taking that one opened up my breathing and even took away my sinus headaches. That was an added bonus.

Tomorrow, finally, I'll get to spend time with Ginger. She cancelled once due to weather, then me last week because of breathing... We even have a semi-plan.
