Mid February Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Mid February Wednesday

Good Morning from the 45th,

Mid February already. Two more weeks and into March we go. Winter is moving right along. Had some snow again last night, but doesn't look like much. Warming trend coming end of week for awhile, so that will put a dent in the snow pack for sure. Fine by me. Maybe can actually go bumming elsewhere for a change.

Barbie, glad you got on the road. Yep, sounds like you got that virus I read about that going around They say the cough can last about two weeks. Martha, any bad weather in your neck of the woods. Anne, hope you were able to go back home as I saw on TV that they lifted the evacuation order to an emergency order. Give you a chance to maybe pack up some valuables and clothes and perhaps keep them in your van in case you need to leave in a hurry again. Hopefully the measures they are taking will keep things under control. See the gals in the Hardee Lakes GTG have now scattered to the wind till the next GTG. Linda, you planning to go work for Beth again this summer? Nice to see you posting so often. Velda, hoping things went well with all the tests.

I finished my kitchen yesterday except for the handles on the drawers, which i will pick up when I go to town and also need to order a valance for the window. So I think today I am going to paint my bedroom closet and be done with the painting. Need to install a new closet rod in there and move a shelf in there anyway.

So that's the story from here for today. So have a nice day everyone. Prayers for healing for those who are sick. Safe travels if you are moving around on the roads.

Good Morning !! I'm a wee bit behind on here. I've been reading books and not on here much. Still trying to shed the crud that's going around. Cough just won't leave and my body doesn't like meds, they drain me along with the crud. I am feeling better, this is 3 rd week of it. I've stayed over after gtg as I just needed the rest and I love this CG. Will leave tomorrow and go to DDs and see them and pick up mail. Then farther north to get service done on RV .

Sun is out real pretty now but power went off several times early morning hours. Supposed to have a storming time come this afternoon, hard to think that with how pretty it looks.

No real news, Sarah and Soos picked strawberries first of week and they've shared with me, sooo good. I've really been eating a lot of fruit, it should be helping me get better :)

Hope those who have this stuff shed it soon and those traveling stay safe and the rest of you hope you include something you enjoy in each day.
Take care,
CArol

The storms fizzled out by the time they got here and we only got a little bit of rain. There were some tornadoes in Texas. It has moved off to the East Coast so hope it doesn't cause trouble there. It's 52 this morning which is cold when we have been use to the upper 70's. It looks like the rain has moved East so hope Barbie doesn't run into anything like snow or ice.

I had some fun last night. The door to the old house had been left open and I didn't go feed the cats until it was dark. When I went down the hall there was a skunk nosing around a empty cat food bag. I got out of there in a hurry. Then I had to sit on the carport and wait for it to come out. The skunks and cats are use to each other. They are really not all that afraid of people, just don't corner one.

No plans for today except clean my office in case the phone man has to get under my desk. We are having telephone problems and someone is suppose to be coming tomorrow. The lines in my office are working but the jacks in the living room and kitchen don't work. I had to run a cord down the hall for Harold's phone.

I keep hoping to go for a bike ride, but my back is still bothering me. It is OK during the day, but bad at night. When I move, the muscle goes into spasm and I get a sudden sharp pain. It only takes a few seconds to subside, but it sure wakes you up! Just took a pain pill, so maybe will be better later. I really need to find and dig out my regular heating pad. Been using one that you put in microwave, but electric one would be easier.

Otherwise, another lazy day. Sometimes I feel guilty for being so lazy, like maybe I should be out walking around or going someplace.

I am in Odessa, TX. Had no idea that El Paso was such a large city! Seemed like I drove thru there for over an hour! Not too impressed with Texas. Smells like oil and not very pretty, at least where I have been.

Will stop just south of Oklahoma City tomorrow night.

I definitely do not feeling good in the mornings but once I get on the road, I start feeling better. Lola was pretty restless today, meowing quite a bit. Not sure what was wrong but she is happily sleeping in her little bed right now. Hopefully, she will settle down again tomorrow.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

there is a movie called Texas Across the River I think Dean Martin is in it...but one of the statements that is going on (they are finding oil and
really don't want it) the white man says we ought to give it back to the indians the Indian says far off who wants it???
