Thursday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Gmorning all :)

Just checking in! Many of you sick (even with flu shot!), suffering bug bites, dealing with sick loved ones, so I send you all my best wishes. Martha, glad you missed the brunt of that horrible storm that went through. The south sure has taken more than it's share of hits from some of the worst weather for the past several years:( Central NY is NOT getting the horrendous storm that you might be hearing about, just back to some bitter cold & a few inches of snow.

Great pix of Hardee gtg:) Hope y'all continue to have a great time. Then Hillsborough, & Lyn making the cross-country trip to be there! Would love to see you & Casey again--miss all my forum family that I would have seen in AZ:(

Not much else going on, so will just wish y'all a great day, good health, & safe travels always!

Good Morninng Carolb and all who follow,

Great to see you this morning Carolb. Missed ya. Glad to know you are fine. We never got the winds and the snow that was forecasted here earlier in the week either. Lake effect snow coming down now though. No big deal, about 1-3 inches. Don't have to go anyplace. Will be decorating in kitchen and doing some cleaning.

Was in town yesterday for an apt., and then did some browsing in Home Depot and Lowes. Bought a piece of barn wood lumber to make a shelf and after doing a little research, found some ideas that have my creative juices flowing. Need few more pieces of barn wood.

Barbie, that dream you had of you and your dad was same as my mom and I. I truly believe that it's God's way of letting us know they are fine and are now in heaven. Their final chance to say goodbye and that things will be okay.

Time to be off here and get busy. My brain has been in design mode since I went to bed I think  So time to se which plan will work best. Have a nice day everyone.

Good morning gals :D

Sue, I think you are right about the dreams. I believe that also. Had similar dreams about my mom right after she passed.

My temp broke overnight and am feeling better this morning. Between the ZiCam and the L-lysine, I think that helped to get this knocked out sooner and start healing my sore throat. Just not much energy but that will take awhile to get back. Hopefully, I will be back to almost normal by Sunday when I plan to leave.

Today I will just plug along slow but sure with packing and take breaks when needed. A lot of my plastic bins never got unpacked since I moved here, so those I will just put in my car until I get the UHaul to put them in. That will give me more room to work on the rest of my stuff and clean.

Hope you all have a good day and stay safe! :D

Here's a happy thing! http://www.metmuseum.org/blogs/digital- ... at-the-met Photos of every piece of public domain art in the collection are being made available under Creative Commons licensing.

I am just so pleased about this change of policy. I vividly remember wanting to use a photo of one of their paintings in one of my books, years ago. They were impossible to work with -- my publishers finally threw up their hands and refused to deal with them. Ha! :D

Good morning ladies
Life just keeps getting better and better.
Plans for today include weeds, they are really missing
Carolb, but guess I'll get to them myself, hahaha
Have done a little bit of packing my "extra" stuff
getting it out of way so it looks tidier in here. Can't
believe I left the housework undone for so long. I guess
that thought of,,,,eh, I'll do it tomorrow, turned into
weeks. But I can't stand the mess anymore!!
This waiting game on my rollover is driving me insane, so
its best for me to keep busy, and tv isn't cuttin it.
Ok, that's all for today, glad Martha didn't get hit by the
tornado and also hope nobody suffers from the mud slides
or broken dams in the west. Y'all have a great day, be safe.

I slept in today until 11:30 am, which is really late, even for me. The last two nights I was up with stinging bug bites and itching and not being able to scratch anything. I did use some ice packs, and about 6 am the prednisone and antibiotics finally started to work. Bite marks are a little less red, more like pink, and the larger outer rings are gone. Most important, almost no pain and much less itchy. Just took my second set of meds.

I was going to go out to a place for seabirds called Ding Darling on Sanibel Island, but I decided to stay home today and take it easy. I am going to keep calling about my toilet today until someone answers. Supposedly this is the day it will arrive on the truck.

So, time for breakfast/lunch to settle all the pills I took just now!

Good to hear from you Carolb. It seems like we have more bad weather now but it's probably because the reporting is better. I have gone in the old house a couple of times for tornado warnings. I don't know if it could withstand a tornado but it would be better than being on this hill in a trailer.

It looks like I'm not doing much today except letting CC in and out. He is going crazy. One of the cat trees has a round thing on top with a hole on the side. That is his jungle gym. He must think he's a spider monkey. Sometimes he is swinging by one leg. I wouldn't get close enough for him to bite me so he got down and jumped on my leg. Good thing I am wearing jeans.

I might go eat out with the women camping in Lafayette tonight. I wish they would do it tomorrow, I don't like to drive at night.

Judy, you might want to think about finding another place to do your work. Camping World in your neck of Florida has nothing but bad reviews. It's not rocket science to replace, but somehow I'd bet big money that they'll screw it up. If you haven't already paid for the toilet, check around and see if there's an independent shop that can do the work. You'll be much happier in the long run.

 I am venting here....

My roommate is being a total PITA. :x I have been moving full bins out of my room and stacking them neatly downstairs out of the way and will move them later to my car to store until I get the UHaul. I need to get them out of my room so I can go thru the rest of my stuff to finish packing and clean. She is upset that I have put the bins downstairs and wants them either back in my room or outside ASAP. She has someone coming tonight to look at my room. Wouldn't it look better to have it cleared out and clean then piled high with bins all over? I told her I can't/won't move the bins back upstairs and that they will be in my car this afternoon when I have the energy to do that. She isn't letting this go and is pissing me off! She is still throwing me on a guilt trip about moving (bailing on her). I signed a 6 month lease which I have upheld. I gave her 2 1/2 months notice as well. Not my fault she hasn't rented it out yet.

OK, take a deep breath and exhale slowly...ohm....ohm...(cough, cough...)

Laura, I called all over Ft. Myers and could not find anyone with the toilet I wanted. (The tricky part is that I need a low-rise toilet because it has to go on a platform. All everyone has are the taller toilets.) One could order it but it would be another week, at least, and $100 more and I do not have that extra week or money, because I am leaving Sunday morning. Camping World had ordered it from the warehouse last week, and luckily it finally arrived this afternoon. There is a mobile RV guy I could call, but I figured since I was leaving, at least if Camping World did it and I had problems, I could complain to another Camping World store somewhere. I will be driving through here in a week, so if I have problems by then. I will stop by that place.

I hate Camping World, but I am desperate for this toilet because the one I have had been leaking for three weeks. I keep sopping stuff up with rags and washing them in a bucket outside with soap and bleach and then drying them on the picnic table. I finally turned off the city water and have been using tank water only, which at least allows me to turn the water off, use the toilet with the drain open, and then flush with a bottle of bleach and soap water. That has reduced the mess, at least.
