Super Bowl Sunday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Super Bowl Sunday

Postby bluepinecones » Sun Feb 05, 2017 8:56 am

Good morning
I don't plan to see the Super Bowl (no TV) but know many of you will.
I've been visiting with Paul and Dawn for past 3 days. Some of you will remember them from first gtg at Hillsborough River. They have since had to give up traveling due to health reasons and have settled near WeekiWachee, FL. Posted a photo in gtg section of our lunch out one day.
Today is moving day for me again. Heading to Hardee Lakes for small gtg there.
The only major handicap in life is a bad attitude!

Sitting on Sunday

Postby Colliemom » Sun Feb 05, 2017 8:57 am

Good Morning,

Just sitting here doin nuttin. Bit under the weather since yesterday. Combination of sinuses being congested, tired and whatnot I guess. Was in bed at 7 last night. Getting chills and felt flushed and nauseous from sinus headache. . Broke out in a sweat during the night. Feeling bit better this morning, but today is do nothing day. Breakfast in tummy and am washing my bedding. Will take a shower later.

Kitchen painting is done and yes O'Sharon, this is the last painting project. Every room in this house has been repainted except my bathroom which I am leaving as I like the blue. Think it was just done last winter. I might freshen up the ceiling later and eventually want to repaint my closet as it's a dark color and I want to lighten it up. Needs to have a new closet rod put in and a shelf raised up, so may as well repaint it to, but not right away. Feels good to have it all freshened up with new paint. Now to accessorize.

So, that's my story for today. Dogs are laying low too after being outside, playing and a long afternoon walk. So we will all be lazy today.

Speaking ND yesterday, that's on my agenda too. Have been across top of State, but not to Roosevelt National Park.

Good morning! No Super Bowl for me, either. Hoping most people will be watching so I can go to Walmart and pick up a few things, without the usual weekend crowd. Went to Quartzite on Friday, with Ken, to trade in his fifth wheel on his new Winnebago Era. We stayed a night in Hi Jolly BLM to make sure everything worked. A couple of little things that he can fix himself, but will have to contact Winnebago to find out about what is still covered on the warranty. The computer in front, that has the radio, GPS, etc, doesn't work! The very mature guy that did the walk thru, had said that it worked best with the remote. Guess it was because it doesn't work! Otherwise, it is a sweet rig! Very roomy for a Class B and lots of cupboards. Not crazy about the microwave being below, instead of above. Ken said the driver's seat wasn't comfortable, but he probably needs to adjust it. I think he will get some good use out of it. He got a call from the realtor on his property in the U.P., asking if he would consider a land contract. Things seem to be looking up for Ken. Now, if I could just get Myrtle sold so I can buy my Class B!

Sun is popping up and so are the boys! Better get moving. Loving this southern AZ weather!

Good Morning,

Sue, hope you continue to feel better during the day. Seems you could do with a restful day. Barbie, nothing like family drama - one of the reasons I'm happy to be on the road. Linda, hope you get that B soon!

I woke up to a wonderful surprise this morning. One of the SS owners does specially painted valve covers for others. He makes them each special to the owner, charges nothing. I got a PM that he wants to do one for me and wants to install it himself when we are at the rally in the Smokies. I am beyond thrilled! He also does other painting and has turned out some beautiful Slingshots.

Looking forward to the GTG at Hardee Lakes - I'm just a few miles from there, but I won't move there until Tuesday. I'll probably have the Super Bowl on later just hoping the Patriots LOSE! In the meantime, I have chores and laundry to do.

Make it a great day and be safe!

Good morning ladies
Well, I'm glad my 3 day commitment at the PGA is done. $$$ were
good and it was quite interesting and funny to see all the fashion
and NONfashion statements being made, groups of friends that would
all dress identical, little bowler hats made out of artificial turf with
little tee flags sticking up,,,,so many of the young girls wearing their
spike heels barely able to walk at the end of the day. Ohhh the pain!!
I don't care anything about superbowl but MAYBE I'll turn it on to
catch some commercials.
Woke up real early this morning and after awhile I was migrain, took
medicine and went back to bed. Very vivid dream and was never so
glad to hear my phone ping that woke me up to realize it was all a
dream. Phew, thank god. I hardly ever dream, but when I do its
usually a whole story but jumped around.
All right, hope you all have a great day, I have to get busy being
LAZY today!! Lol

Morning everyone!

Sue, so sorry to hear you're sick, hope you start feeling better asap!

Barbie, family drama does suck, after my mom died and we got through all the crap, my brother and I could finally leave each other be. We get along marginally but were forced to be together a lot dealing woth mom and the aftermath, now is better.

Ava, glad it was all a dream! I have super vivid bizarre dreams and crack myself up later in the day thinking about them.

Anita, that is so danged cool about your SS!! I had a custom air cleaner cover on my harley and it was so neat having something personalized on MY bike.

Linda, hope your class A sells soon, I know the feeling, we're waiting and waiting for our condo in FL to sell.

No super bowl for us, it finally got sunny and a bit warmer here so we're going hiking!! Hope everyone feels better and has a beautiful day.

I have been having vivid really weird dreams the last few days, also. I also seldom dream, and when I have vivid ones it is usually because I have forgotten to take my meds at night. This time, seemingly no reason.

Good news is that last night I thoroughly cleaned out three underneath basement spaces. I've just been tossing things in there the last few months, and they really need a good straightening every 6 months or so. I have a nice cement pad here and gravel picnic area so good place to work and don't have to worry about sitting on the grass. Even on my stool, I stay away from grass due to my mosquito bite problems. (Don't like missing sleep because of the large, painful reactions I get.)

Only mechanical problem now is my toilet. Got a new one on order for later this week, but in the meantime, the one I have leaks a bit, so I have it surrounded by old towel rags, so have to change them out and put dry ones periodically. Also flushing with bleach water. Just a lot of extra work, so will really be glad to get my new toilet.

Good Morning, Big party for us! Some relatives staying with us, other relatives staying in hotel in town, and, all the Grandkids and their babies will be here! Both Val and I are getting tired of all the company and parties going on at this time of year. Besides the Super Bowl, there are four birthdays.
We live a pretty quiet life around here, and are not used to all the excitement.

My Super Bowl date is going to be Bronc...and we're cheering for the Falcons. Ashley had to leave for Minnesota early this morning with her parents. Her Godparent’s son was killed in an avalanche in Alaska and the funeral is tomorrow. Ryan dropped Bronc off a little after seven this morning and will pick him up when he finishes chores tonight. It’s just too cold for him to be outside with dad all day! Plus Ryan got a shipment of calves in on Friday and they’re still pretty wild, so definitely don’t want Bronc around the lots. He walked in the house and informed me that he wanted waffles, bacon, chocolate milk and a Halo for breakfast. He was a little bent out of shape because dad wouldn’t let him bring his new Border Collie puppy with him. He named him ‘Jack’ because that’s what he wanted the new baby’s name to be…but they told him he couldn’t name his baby sister Jack, so that what he called his dog!

Mickie, I just about choked when I read $50. for a haircut! My beautician charges $14. and refuses tips. So I always get her a nice gift certificate for Christmas. She’s cut my hair for about 20 years. At the time mom died I needed a haircut big time and Donna was on vacation. I had to do a walk in at Cost Cutter…it’s wasn’t pretty. Couldn’t wait for it to grow out enough so Donna could shape it up. My opinion is that most of the young new beauticians want to cut your hair to look like rats chewed off the ends.

I had a pretty quiet week. Missy and I went shopping on Friday. Other than that I just hung around home. This Wednesday I will be bartending the afternoon shift so Jim can take Pam to the specialist for a check-up on her new knew. The contractors finally finished texturing the walls and putting up the new trim in Sean’s house, so I can finish making curtains. Still have to go over and measure. He’s really done a lot of work in the house and it’s looking good. Structurally the house was in good shape it just hadn’t had updating in years.

Have a good week.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Good evening. Got the game on but just watching the commercials. Not too impressed with any of them yet.
Woke up with a sore throat and cough this morning. Hitting the ZiCam all day and sucking on cough drops. Can't get sick now! Sue, I hope you get to feeling better. Sounds like a flu bug.

Got into Phoenix around 1:00 today. I have SO much to do this week. I am taking a little break tomorrow and meeting with Linda for awhile. Then go clean out my little trailer on Tuesday at Ava's. Pack stuff on Wednesday. Pick up and load the U-Haul on Thursday, and leave on Friday morning. Lots of other little things to do in between. That is the tentative plan anyway. I have a little leeway if I need to tweek plans along the way.

Have a good evening... :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
