Sunny Monday!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunny Monday!

Postby Queen » Mon Jan 30, 2017 9:10 am

Good morning everyone!!

Sun is shining here for the first time in days and days, it's lovely!

The open house yesterday went too well, LOL. We loved the house, it was absolutely perfect for us... but with the condo in FL still not sold, we are balking a bit.

Hope Velda and Barbie are finding some peace. Loads of warm healing thoughts headed out to you both.

Good Morning, I am home in the condo! Quartzite was miserable this year. I have been going there for about 15 years, and, this is the worst it has ever been!!!

Sunny and blue sky here in San Diego. I have much to do getting ready for my next trip!

Lyn - I hear San Diego is considered weather perfection. I'm a little jealous right now, although we have sun... it's glistening off all the snow. LOL

Good morning from sunny Southern California. :)

Micky, I just had to chime in this morning after reading your comment. Yesterday it was in the high 70s at the beach, meaning it was pushing 80 inland. We took a 25 mile ride on our electric bikes and had an absolute blast. Rode along the boardwalk from Seal Beach to the south side of Huntington (check it on a map), and never broke a sweat. Those Pedego bikes are incredible. We can work as hard -- or not -- as we want, and go 10X farther than I ever thought possible.

Our weather is supposed to be nice for a couple of days and then cool off, with rain expected for late in the week. It's funny, but whenever we have more than a couple of days of rain everyone gets their chonies in a wad. We're quite spoiled, weather-wise. ;) It's hard to remember that it is winter, especially when we have days like yesterday.

And San Diego has just about perfect weather. There's probably a month or so in the summer when it gets uncomfortable, but that's because so many people don't have air condiditoning -- they don't usually need it. Humidity goes up along the coast, and people whine. But I'll take that over anything else the country has any day.

I'm in shorts today. Makes me happy. :)

Wow, that sounds heavenly right about now. It was 13 degrees when we got up this morning.

And I need to check out those bikes, that sounds like fun!

Got up really late because hardly any sleep last night with my five new mosquito bites. They really hurt/sting/throb, so I took something for the pain, but was up two hours then and over an hour later anyway. I am hoping they will get less sore for tonight.

I'm at Ortona South Lock and Dam in southern Florida, and been doing some cleaning out and reorganizing, so missed my usual breakfast, so going to cook some crepes for a really, really late brunch! Then got more organizing and some work to do.

Lyn, we were just off by a week. It's gorgeous in Arizona right now. Of course, I'm working lol. Speaking of which, I handled the phone this morning. We're a first come/first served cg. We are probably going to be full most nights now. Yesterday we were full by 3:30. So I take a call. Someone wants to know at 10 am if we'll have 3 sites, all for rigs from 30 to 40 feet. I asked how soon they'd arrive.. 5:30 pm. I said probably not for any of them. This was after I told her big rigs should come in between 10 and noon. And that we were completely full yesterday about 3:30. She decided she'd call back this afternoon because she's sure they'll get in. I then suggested they stop overnight elsewhere and come in tomorrow morning. She's calling back. Okie doke lol

I made it back from my camping trip a little while ago. I was suppose to come home yesterday but 3 were staying until today so I stayed too. I had a night of peace without my sister. It was a nice campground. It is on a lake but the water is down. I think they were working on the dam. If it hadn't been so cold and windy I would have fished. It never fails, today the temperature went up to 72. There were 11 of us. One lady came from Dallas to camp with us and one from Hot Springs. They must have wanted to camp bad. lol We had a good time. Weiner roast Friday night with the Oreo S'mores. We had the square marshmallows so too much marshmallow for the cookie. They were good but messy. Saturday we went to some thrift stores and "antique" stores. Saturday night one of the ladies brought a projector and screen so we sat around the fire and watched a movie.

CC was having fun. I had him on a 10' leash and that's about how far he would go up a tree. He got away one time and went after a bird that was up in a tree. I just caught the leash in time. I can just see me at a campground for a week trying to get him out of a tree. lol He must not have gotten enough exercise because he has been running since we got home. He is chasing Annie from one end of the house to the other.

Kind of late here tonight but been a busy day. Had a lot of calls to make and after taking care of things at the hospital this morning, we met with the funeral home to get that squared away. Tomorrow morning we are meeting with the minister at my dad's church to finalize the service arrangements for Friday.

Then we need to go back to the bank to take care of a couple more things there with my dad's accounts. I will then take my brother's truck and take care of some things I need to do like renewing my MN drivers license that lapsed last week on my birthday (never did get an AZ license). Then stop at Penneys to buy an outfit for the funeral. All I thought to throw in my suitcase was warm comfortable clothes (blue jeans, t-shirts, sweatshirts and boots). Got a few other things to do and then the next couple days will be quieter for us. Time to relax and regroup. My older brother will be in town late tonight.

Hasn't been too bad here, weather-wise. Low 30's with some snow flurries over night. Even rained a little this afternoon.

I will probably leave here next weekend. Need to get moved back up here fairly soon so I can start working again and making some money! Still got bills to pay and will be also paying my dad's utilities while I am living in the house. My dad has no money other than the reverse mortgage which we cannot touch now. He was over $900 overdrawn last week so I covered that with some money I had saved. He had $6 in his wallet. Need to get the house cleaned up and sold as soon as possible.

I am tired and rambling now so I better get to bed.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
