Mid Week Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Mid Week Wednesday

Postby Colliemom » Wed Jan 11, 2017 8:22 am

Morning ladies,

Midway through the second week of January already. Was watching a TV ad for an annual ice fishing themed festival in a town about 50 miles south of here yesterday. Starts on the weekend of 20th and also the following one. Got me to thinking that in two more weekends after this coming on, January will be over.Winters moving right along here. Course I'm busy too. With all the storms we have been haivng, good one to do inside stuff before spring arrives. Yesterdays storm hit us with snow, heavy rains, high winds etc., but now is history. Trouble is, left power outages, icy roads etc. behind it. Rain is not a welcome thing here this time of year with snow and frozen ground. Yep, Velda, we get inches, the Sierras get feet. They are saying that there has been 114 inches of snow up there in a matter of hours whereas we have had same amount this winter so far, but in more gradual amounts.

Guess Donna must still be at Hardee Lakes. Others have spread to wherever the winds have blown them for awhile. I know there is another GTG coming up down in FL before long. Q is in the focus now. Going to have to start thinking spring and summer GTG's pretty soon. My mind is gearing up for the season probably cause I'm going to a small RV show this weekend. I"m really in a mood to either sell or trade my current TT for another one. Want to go back to Forest River and love the MIcro Lites or Mini Lites.

But first, I"m going to finish painting my living room. Got the ceiling done yesterday and now for the walls. This is the largest painting project in the house and once it's done, then I will only have bathroom and kitchen to do. Bathroom won't take long. Kitchen will be more a fun project as not only will I be removing a bit of wallpaper and some border, I will also be repainting, putting new knobs, handles or both on the cupboards and maybe doing some backsplash work if I can decide what I want if anything to do it with. Looking forward to that project. Saving it for last.

So, guess I had better get cleaned up, dressed in my painting duds and get busy with the painters tape. Going to take awhile to get that done. So will wish you all a nice day and I'm outta here :)

Sue, you are the busiest retired woman I know!! :D

Have you looked at the Winnebago Micro-Minnie yet? They are so danged nice, a small TT with ducted air, nice big bathroom, dual axles, and a walk around bed. They are sweet looking. We will probably go up to Haylettes in Coldwater when the weather eases up a bit, to have a look.

Mornin' Sue, Mickie & all that follow ~~~
Makes me tired just reading what you're doing Sue! And better you than me on all the snow you've gotten. We got less than 1" here Monday and took me almost 3 hours to get home :x !!! People being way overly cautious. Yes snow by work, but closer to home just wet. 45 minutes to get home that usually takes me 5 minutes! I can't retire early enough to get away from snowy rush hours.

Working from home the rest of the week taking an on line class. BORING! Other than that stuff, nothing else going on. Just looking forward to the RV show on Saturday.

Have a good day everyone and stay safe where ever you are.

Dog classes are meeting again this week. Drew is having fun! Me too. Lunch with friends after class today, then a doctor's appointment. Bet I'll be tired-and-happy tonight!

Morning, all! I'm sitting in my recliner overlooking the Atlantic, watching the surf and the beach. Yes, I have one of the prime spots here, so I can see both ocean and beach! They did have some minor damage here with two of the three walkways down to the beach missing the stairs. They have put boards up so you can sit on the platforms, just not get down to the beach. It is pretty chilly right now, but supposed to get up to 70--and sunny with a chilly wind. Ran my electric heater last night.

I have signed up to a kayak guided tour for tomorrow afternoon. Then on Friday I will ride my bike the two miles down to Flagler Beach for the morning farmers' market.

I'll be here for two weeks, so lots of time to sightsee.

Good morning all! The sun is finally shining here! Not sure how long it'll last but gonna enjoy it while I can! I just came in from shoveling the sidewalk and driveway. Not much snow but we got icy rain during the night so it was heavy. The sun is already drying it and getting the bits of icy stuff I couldn't shovel. Good cardio workout!

I've been enjoying reading about everyone's adventures! Good to know there's a world out there. I think I have a bad case of cabin fever! Even been talking to my phone! I think I need to get out of the house for awhile today!! :D

So not much else here. I need to grab a bite to eat and then decide what to do with the rest of the day. Have a great day and travel safe.

Good morning gals!

Sue, I still like the Forest River Micro Lites. Have everything I like in them. Someday...

Not happy right now. Found out my request for time off for Q got "lost", so I have been scheduled for all the days I wanted off. I asked my manager about changing the schedule and she said because we are so short-staffed it is unlikely to happen. I reminded her that I have been coming in early, staying late and working on my days off...she said she would see what she can do. I will be SO disappointed if I can't go!

Wanted to get up early today and go hiking at Papago Park in north Phoenix but ended up sleeping until almost 11. I needed the extra sleep, but now, if I went, I would end up heading back in rush hour traffic leaving Phoenix and I don't want to do that. I have things to do around here today.

At least the weather is nice here. No complaints about that!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
