Monday, 7 days to Christmas

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Monday, 7 days to Christmas

Morning,

Chilly out there. Balmy 4 degrees compar d to some of you. Heading out in a short bit. Appt. and business in town. Otherwise nothing special on agenda. Probably a walk later today as dogs have been bugging me.

Good catch on the spell correct yesterday Cheryl. Sometimes it creates the most hilarious sentences with words starting with letters no where near the ones you even type on and other times, makes the biggest mess in a sentence.

Hope you had a fun Christmas yesterday Pat. Anita, you sound like you are enjoying FL for a change.

As for me, gotta get changed here and ready to roll. Don't want to wear my goofy Walmart fleece bottoms out there, comity ascthey are  Though people wear the craziest things sometimes. Have a nice day everyone :)

Good Morning Sue and Everyone !! I'm visiting my sis again, while they are doing their dr visits I've come down to a mall that isn't all that busy and parked way out where I can run gen and charge batteries. I have finally caught up on reading the morning thread, and thought I'd say "HI". Sure some cold weather up north !! Snow is so pretty in pics I've seen, I've enjoyed seeing them, but then I'm not up there where it's at either. Overcast day here, which is ok as that sun gets way too hot.

Not much news, my sis and DH are doing ok, but not really good. She's in constant pain and due to other problems and side effects from drugs she won't take them unless she absolutely HAS to. Her DH considering his having cancer is doing good.
I'm concerned for them both and even though we do nothing it helps my heart to be here with them.

Christmas I'll be back at my DDs, can't disappoint those grands. Will stay that week with the kids (school holiday) and play some games then it's off to meet up at Hardee with friends.

Have more cards would like to get off, so will shut up for now, hope you all have a great day !!
Stay warm, dry, and most of all safe,
CArol

I'm moving very slow this morning. Waiting for it to warm up. It only got down to 34 here but they are saying 29 tonight. Parts of Florida are in the 80's. That sounds good. I hope it's in the 80's when I go.

Harold went to Walmart this morning and bought another coat. We have a closet full of coats. He doesn't understand that a Dickies coat from Walmart is not the same as a Dickies from one of the other stores. There is something different so Walmart can sell them at half the price. He has already lost the gloves he bought. We have a box full of gloves too.

I need to go to town so guess I better dry my hair and not go out with it wet. When I was a kid they would fuss at me all the time for washing my hair when it was cold. I didn't get a hair dryer until I was in high school so would have to sit in front of a space heater.

My first official work day is tomorrow. Then, as the schedule just changed, I'm off till Sunday. That decided my what to do for Christmas... I'll join the pot luck with fellow workers. Guess I need to see what to bring. I have been, while watching tv, putting together some info the office needs. A little now, a little then, almost out of one of the papers... Someone will be around tomorrow and I can collect more.

Temps nice but just windy enough that I'll wear my sweatshirt to go walking.

Have a great day!

Morning all and wishing all a fun week before Christmas. Our temp got down to 29 last night but we are almost 40 now and headed to near 50 today. Mel is off to a early PT appointment as the PT has a event for his son later. I had made a chiropractor appointment to coincide with Mel's PT at 4 and as soon as the chiropractor closed for the weekend the PT called and rescheduled the PT. so we will each have to drive to the same area 4 hours apart today! Oh well.
Son is barely moving after a probable broken rib Friday. Puts a hitch in my plans since he was supposed to help shop tomorrow to get the last of what we need until New Years. I still have stuff to do and some will just have to not get done.
Have a good week everyone.

Good late evening from San Diego! I left Phoenix this morning at 7am and headed west. When I got to Yuma, the wind was so strong it about blew me right off the road! The sand dunes (very cool!) were being blown across the highway. Looked like a blizzard but with sand instead of snow! (not so cool!).

I discovered that I still totally love California! I drove up to San Marcos to meet my new future roommate. We had a great conversation. She is very nice. The apartment is also very nice and the bedroom I will be renting is even bigger than she told me. I measured it and it is 15' x 12' (she thought it was 14' x 10'). So will be nice and roomy for me to spread out and be comfortable (and Lola too!). Large bathroom and walk in closet! Pool area is also very nice! So I will be moving in there around the 5th of February (she wants time to clean the room and make it nice for me!).

From there, I drove to Encinitas and then down the coast. Stopped at a beach and took a walk. Took pics of the sun going down. Then some guy walked up to me with his dog and handed me a sand dollar he had found. I didn't know they had sand dollars in California! I always wanted one, so that was awesome! A good omen I think!

Got checked into my motel room and then Lyn picked me up and brought me to her apartment, which is beautiful! Her daughter made a wonderful dinner for us. I got a photo of she and I but will have to wait to post it until I get home since I have the wrong laptop with me.

Tomorrow I will get up early and head to La Jolla and see if I can spot any whales and check out the seal lion pups there. From there I will head back to Phoenix. A real whirlwind trip but I am glad I did this and got the apartment thing settled. I am excited!

Hope you all had a great day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
