Wednesday hump day

Good morning
Guess what day it is,,,lol
I suppose everyone is busy this morning
Went the Casino yesterday, came home with
$100 extra in my pocket and a free comp dinner
from the restaurant, PLUS, a bundt pan and a
loaf pan. Some gift give away thing going on
this month. Anyway, if was fun and I don't
do casinos very often.
Today I'll be hanging out waiting for the Kia
dealer to call on my ac blower motor. Its on
order and expected today or tomorrow.
Really need to do the weeds in the back yard
and probably a good day for that. Not much else
going on. Y'all have a great day, be safe.

Good morning Ava and all who follow...

I think I figured out why I am feeling a little off. I have forgotten to take my anti-depressant meds for the past 4 days! I never forget those but somehow they got missed since I got here. So I am sure that is messing up my system. Hopefully, will get back to normal fairly soon now that I am back on them now.

Had an unexpected job interview yesterday at a GC's near me that I just stopped in to ask about a position there. The manager is very interested. I do want to check out all my options tho around here first before making a decision. Haven't heard back from the GC's recruiter yet so will just make some calls on my own today.

Hope you all have a good day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good Morning, Beautiful fall day here but colors are not very good this year. Many of th leaves are just turning brown and dropping. So now Ava and Barbie are almost neighbors. Barbie I think it may take awhile to adjust to such and extreme climate change. Enjoy your week off Ava
I went in for a check up yesterday and was a bit surprised at some of the questions. I was asked my home had a smoke detector, a carbon monoxide detector, and were there firearms in my home  They did say answering about the firearms was optional! Has anyone else had these questions asked at a medical appointment? I was a bit stunned.
Pat, congratulations on the upcoming special event in your family!!

BJ, I am not surprised at that question. I have been hearing it was going to be asked on another blog I follow! Lyn

Hi ladies ~~~
Yes, congrats on the good news Pat. Does Bronc know he's going to be a big brother? Hope you'll be feeling better soon Barbie after realizing you missed some meds - oops. BJ, I haven't had those questions at my last check up. Kind of odd questions if you ask me.

Still catching up at work from the WI vaycay. Was great to see Eileen & her DH again, and yes, totally agree with Sue, their new MH is gorgeous! I would highly recommend Buckhorn CG to anyone passing thru WI. We were actually on a new loop, but all sites were good and big. Some back-ins more private than others and our pull-thru sites were probably equivalent to 3 of IL back-in sites ~~~ HUGE! The first day alone before Eileen & DH arrived, I went to visit Woodside Dude Ranch in Mauston to relive a vacation we took when I was about 11. Brought back great memories wandering around there. Punkin was OK with the little donkey, but wasn't a fan of those big scary horses when they snorted. What a doofus. Nothing phased good ole Zorro tho, cattle dog that he is.

Very dark the first nite there (Monday) and a little spooky with only 1 other camper in the next loop and no moon. Saw a maintenance guy driving site by site on Tuesday clearing out all of the campfire rings. that was a new one on me. Lots of stars and we played around with the free sky app looking at stars. Campfires were good too. No colors tho since we were in a pine forest  We did a upper Dells river cruise one day and went to Devils Lake SP another and hiked some boulders partially up to balanced rock, but it was packed and we had to keep stopping to let people down. Skip that SP for camping - very small sites and a lot of boulders and trees to avoid (to this newbie at least). Hopefully this weekend I'll get some pics together to share.

Colt is all winterized now, so just need a final cleaning and cover for the winter. :( That's it for now. Hope everyone is doing well. Be safe on the roads.

ON EDIT: HI Lyn! You snuck in.

Way past morning here, but still Morning someplace. Being the morning person I am, I'm usually outside and into something once that sun is up. Then I can relax later in afternoon with my chores done. I've been busy with little projects I wanted to do this fall when the cooler weather came. Mostly stuff in the yard, shed and garage. Shed and garage are done now, all organized. All my outside stuff except for fall decorations is put away. Snowblowers are started up and running, just need to grease my big one in a few places. My lawn tractor blew the belt that drives the mower so have that in for service. Having the whole thing gone over, oil change etc., so it will be ready for next spring. Will probably mowing again when I get it bac Trailer has been winterized, washed and covered. So this morning I put up a couple sections of split rail fence I had laying in taken down from along the drive and laid in back of garage. Required having to pull up the line posts where those sections had originally been and put in end posts, so I could use the line posts where I wanted to extend the fence. All done and my fence is now 20 feet longer. Just finished setting some landscape ties and river stone along house foundation in back. Are you all tired yet  Now this was not all done in one day!

Pat, congrats on the news of another grandchild coming. Cheryl, sounds like you enjoyed your vay cay. I too have to post the pics from the mini GTG in the U.P. Yet. Fall color still slow in coming, but some georgeous trees.

Getting wordy here, so time to stop. Rain heading in and I'm heading for town.

I've been up--just lazy about posting. I have not been asked about the smoke detector, but about a year ago in an urgent care center I got asked if I lived alone, did I feel safe living alone, has anyone tried to hurt me, and have I fallen lately. I told them I drove a 32' vehicle and fell off my bike a while back, so I think that satisfied them. Hate to be treated like a helpless, little old lady, even if I am a little old lady!

Enjoying Bahia Honda. I really needed some days to just do nothing other than sit in my recliner and watch the ocean. I have been doing a little work along with watching TV, and I took a bike ride yesterday--my first since early July in California. It was incredibly, horribly dirty, and I really felt guilty for not even checking on it! I sat and cleaned it up, but the chain was off and I couldn't fix that. Glad my bike was electric and I could still ride it. When I rode past the entrance station, one of the rangers noticed my chain and fixed it for me after I asked where there was a bike shop. Nice of him!!

So, just took some chocolate chip cookies out of the oven if anyone wants to stop by!!!! :D

I haven't seen the commercial with the camel in a long time. I don't even remember what they were advertising but it was funny.

I would have been shocked at the questions about smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detector and fire arms. I wonder who came up with that. We have 5 smoke detectors in our small house. The house came with them wired in and they have to have a battery too. They will drive you crazy until you replace the battery or the alarm if it's bad. We don't have a carbon monoxide detector but we are all electric. A friend told me that if a house catches on fire the firemen won't come in your house if you have guns and ammunition that aren't in a gun safe. I don't know if that's true because I see them fighting fires on the news at houses where no one is home. I guess if a bullet exploded they would back off.

Cheryl, I think most campgrounds with fire rings clean them after someone leaves. People burn all kinds of junk in the fire rings and make a mess. When there were wild hogs at the campground near me they would go from fire ring to fire ring looking for food. I guess people would burn bones. At most of the state parks the raccoons are really bad about getting into ice chests that are left out. I don't think they would need much encouragement to come sit with you. They tell people not to feed the wildlife but they do.

I need to pour bleach through the air conditioner drain. I noticed there was slime on the outside pipe yesterday. I should have done it while Harold was gone this morning but forgot. I don't want to get him involved in that. I have a cover to put on my RV air conditioner and I don't want him helping me with that either.

Mitch, I know I'm decrepit but I'm in better shape than Harold. He always wants to help me so I don't get hurt. He is getting so hard of hearing and won't wear his hearing aids. We have some strange conversations. He had an appointment on Monday October 10 at 1:00. I put the information on a note in the kitchen so he wouldn't miss it in case I didn't get back Monday. First he thought it was at 10 o'clock. Then he thought the two dots after the one was another one and the appointment was at 11. That was a conversation that kept going in circles.
