First Friday and Check in Day

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Just got home from work and thought I should check in. Still here in Ohio. I expect to finish up my last work project by the end of next week and be off on summer adventures. Have an eye appointment with the Cincinnati Eye Institute at the recommendation of my Nurse Practitioner next Wednesday. I don't think it is anything but I do follow most of her recommendations.....I don't want her to get too cocky if I did everything she told me to.

As soon as I post this, I am throwing Josef in the dog tub for a bath and he and Audrey (who got her bath last night) and Remi are jumping in the rig and having me drive them to the dog show grounds in Lima. There is only one other entry so I don't expect anything but my friend Cindy will stay with me. Her :Special" will beat Audrey and Josef and go Best of Breed but we will have a nice time. And if the result are any different you will probably hear my loud exclamations from where ever you are.

The following weekend we are heading to the shows in Huntington, WV, then driving to New York State for a longish weekend with both kids and their SOs at my son's place in Patterson, NY. The weekend following that we will be heading to outside Hilton Head for a dog show there and after that I haven't made any entries or plans until beginning of September........so far anyway.

Need to go help make Josef more handsome...... :)

Drive safe CArol. Everyone is heading south so I should be okay heading north on I-75.....except for those heading to Michigan!

I am alive and careening around though I found a half price special and settled in for a spell in South Carolina. Well, 2 weeks, maybe more.

It's such a big secret that I had 7,000 acres with me the only camper. Guess I am a lone bargain hunter!

My dog is lonely.

I am enjoying the extreme solitude, but not opposed to a pot luck either.

Bicycle riding a bit rough but doable. No traffic but roads aren't paved.

Dog can be off leash here with voice command. He is iffy on voice commands, but at least he freezes when I yell STOP.

Life is goof.

I did whisper rabbits this morning. I don't think I spoke before that. I'm having a hard time believing the year is 1/2 over. Days don't always go fast, but the months and years fly by.

I haven't taken my pics off my camera yet from my getaway last weekend. Hopefully soon. Will do a couple blog posts if they are any good. One if not lol.

I just walked Peaches and a woman didn't have control of her dog. It got away and came, happily and excitedly towards me and Peaches. It wasn't threatening so Peaches and I got it under control and the woman (and her daughter with another dog) came to collect it. (Sorry about using it, but didn't notice the sex.) Then the woman starts beating the dog. I almost lost it. I did raise my voice and at least it stopped her. OMG, so training is by beating? I asked her to give me the dog. Didn't happen. Wish I could have forced that. When Peaches and I walked home the woman and her husband were sitting outside their RV with both dogs. The little one was trying to get to me then. I think both dogs would like (and deserve) better people. I shook for quite awhile. Dang people.

Hope everyone has a great 4th.

forgot to say rabbits...and I was up past midnight as well..
basically checking in tired tonight so then the mind isn't thinking..
feel for you Barbie wish there was some words of advice but it seems like your
hands are tied...at the moment...I am very fortunate spent part of the day with my mom
she will be 90 on her next birthday which is in Oct. she lives on her own basically (a grandson lives in
the basement but just for the summer) and he pretty much doesn't see her much...and she babysits two great granddaughters
one 8 and one 1 I think perhaps 2 can't remember she just started walking and was late at that so thinking 2 (they finally went to
a children's hospital and orthopods were put on some how and she has now started walking) I personally wish she wasn't baby sitting
but it gives her something to do other than watch Hallmark very grateful she is as active as she is
you all have a great rest of the day for a lot of you it is tomorrow by now
