but no sunshine! :( There has to be some nice weather somewhere, but not around here lately. They keep promising a warm up, but we'll see. Keeping an eye on Saturday for traveling, and so far looks good for northern IL but haven't checked further south yet.

Somewhere I also lost a week, thought I had one more Saturday to get an oil change, but oops, leaving this Saturday. Ah, I was getting it 1,000+ miles ahead of time anyway.

Catherine ~ was it your nephews that won a BBQ contest a year or so ago? Are they the same ones that are from Kansas and now in a Heinz BBQ sauce commercial. Every time I see I wonder.

Boss is out of the office this week (yea!) so peace and quiet. She drives me nuts with IMs. Not much else going on, but waiting for next week. Have a good day ladies and stay safe on the roads.

Morning Irish and all who follow,

I love the title you put up there. Very creative. Sorry about weather. Hope you have it good for vacation. It's going to be a nice week here. Sunshine and warm temps starting today . Into the 60's today and mid 70's by weekend. I'll take it.

Was good day yesterday here. I think the inspection went well. Inspector was really nice guy. I was here while he was doing his thing for awhile as he was an hour earlier than RE office said he was going to be, no problem as was ready for him anyway. Just puttered on my Ipad while he did his thing until time for the dogs and I to leave for Molly's eye exam. He was gone by time we got back. No radon test done either I guess. Don't know about water. Us homeowners never know about those things unless they find something really out of whack and then the buyers communicate with the RE agent. So now it's just waitng for the buyers to lift the inspection contingency and see where it's going from here. If they are satisfied, we will proceed toward a closing in June and I will make put in my offer for the neighbors house and wait the 72 hours on her contingency buyers and continue packing up this house. Home buying and selling is a game of waiting, waiting, waiting, ya know :)

Other good news is that Molly's eyes are improving. So now I only have to do the drops thing twice a day instead of 3. No more mid afternoon and 10 p.m. drops. Much better as watching the clock gets to be a pain after awhile. Downside is that we need to continue that for 6 months till we see him again. Gotta call and schedule a 6 mo appt. today too. Also heading out to my vet for the heartworm/flea tick meds today. Then going to cut my neighbors grass before it needs a hay baler  Big garage sale going to be goin gon tere next weekend or tow from other neighbors using her big 4 car garage. I'll probably be over yakking and browsing the finds. Don't need anything as I"m getting rid of my own, but I do need a new lamp for my bedroom, so never know what one might find. They are getting ready to downsize and move as well, so clearing out their stuff too.

Gonna wash hair here and eventually mosey off to vets. Hope you have a great day out there.

Good Morning All,
Cheryl it is' supposed' to be 74 and partly sunny here on Saturday. The weather has been really unusual, with lows in the lower 40's and highs in the 50's or 60's. I even turned our furnace on last night. We have electric baseboard heaters to supplement the heat in the family room, which I had on, but I finally realized it was probably cheaper to turn on the furnace. I'm just glad it isn't 90 and humid but I do hope the rain stops by the weekend. I wasn't able to get Elsie in for a check-up until Friday and I think they worked me in, it is a family owned business and they are so nice. I also was thinking I had another week before the GTG.
I was going shopping with a friend but it is supposed to rain all day so hope she still wants to go. It's too gloomy to stay home, I'd have to work to entertain myself. :)

Sue, glad Molly's eyes are improving but I sympathize with needing to do the drops. I have to give Andy medicine 3 times a day for the rest of his life and it is hard to remember. It really got crazy when I was also having to give Toby meds 3 times a day 8 hours apart! Thank goodness it was only for a couple of weeks.

Seriously grumpy this morning. Have to go see the doctor to get a new prescription for a medication I actually need and not looking forward to being yelled at for refusing their outdated opinion on cholesterol care. :( Time to get a new doctor. Preferably somebody not long out of med school who has actually been taught the NIH guidelines.

Farrier just left, he is the nicest young man. If there were more young folks like him, I wouldn't worry for America's future. He paid me and my horses a high compliment; if he finds another job someday, he has decided there are one or two clients with whom he'd continue, on his days off. We are one of the places he would still come to for that! He even came out today although he wasn't feeling up to par because my horses are well behaved and easy to work on. Let me tell ya, if you can find a good farrier like this one, you are very lucky!
Any day spent in the company of my animals is a good day.

Good morning gals!
Sunny and pleasant today. Going to be in the mid 70's for the next week or so! Yay! San Diego weather! :D Might finally get to spend some time outside!

We had our company picnic on Sunday evening which was nice. Nice sunny mild weather for it, good food and great raffle prizes, altho I didn't win anything this year.

My camping trip comes up in just over a month from now so am getting anxious for that!

I bought a harness for my cat, Lola. I am hoping to get her comfortable with it so I can take her outside for walks. I think she gets very bored in this little place. So far, I have been getting her used to the harness by brushing her and giving her treats while she is wearing it. She seems to be doing OK with it so far. The harness is one that doesn't go around her neck but over her shoulders and down under her chest so it won't ever choke her. I will probably walk her in the hallway first just to make sure she can't get out of it at all and gets used to walking with it before going outside.

I ordered a Chromebook the other day. My laptop is very big and heavy and is a pain to use while sitting on the couch. My tablet is acting up badly and I cannot use it anymore. So I decided to get the Chromebook for playing on the internet while sitting on the couch, and just use the big one on my desk for working on my autobiography and organizing my photos, etc. Hoping that works better since the Chromebook is small and lightweight. Hoping it is also easy to figure out. I did order a book from the library on how to use it.

Off to work here shortly. Think I will take a quick walk down to the lake first tho since it is so nice out! Have a good day whatever you are doing! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

They missed the prediction for the bad weather we were suppose to get. It rained lightly off and on all day yesterday but we only got 3/4 of an inch. The sun is shining this morning and they have lowered the rain prediction for the rest of the week. Our humidity must be very high because every things feels damp. We have never had a dehumidifier but I am thinking about getting one.

I don't know what I will do today other than go to the grocery store. Not my favorite activity. My car is probably getting close to needing an oil change. It tells me when it gets down to a certain percentage. After years of going by the mileage that takes some getting use to. I must not be driving enough because I keep getting emails from the dealer telling me I probably need an oil change.

You are so right about finding a good farrier. Since we are down to one horse it is hard to get on the schedule. Sometimes have to bring the horse to the farrier. When I was in college I would have to work on my horses feet myself when I went home. That is hard work. My dad would not pay for that. About all he did was feed me when I came home. I had to buy my own horse feed.
