. I just wish someone would finish the King Cake so that doesn't temp me every time I walk in the kitchen.

I looked up a recipe for King Cake sounds pretty much like cinnamon rolls in a circular way...am I right?

Yes, most of them are just like big cinnamon rolls. Some are baked and some are fried. My favorite is fried like a donut. Then they decorate them with green, yellow and purple icing and sometimes sprinkles. After they are cooked some are filled from the bottom with different flavors. They use something that looks like a calking gun. One bakery in Lafayette started making one filled with boudin, which is like a rice dressing. It's probably more like a sausage bread. I haven't tried one. Traditionally King Cakes are only sold from January 6th until the day before Ash Wednesday.
