Quiet Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Quiet Wednesday

Postby Colliemom » Wed Jan 13, 2016 9:20 am

Good Morning,

Quiet in more ways than one this morning. Nobody posted yet. Was waiting to see if I could follow somebody for a change today, but guess not. So will put the coffee on and then head to town, now that the blowing and snowing and what not have quieted down. Still getting some light snow, but only an inch, so ignoring it for now and heading to the store and a couple of other places. Snow will be the word for the foreseeable future anyway, so nothing new there. An inch or two a day and it piles up slow but sure. But right now, need a break from blowing, want to refill the gas can and be ready for whatever else comes along. Will go out to lunch too while I am out. Tired of my own home kitchen menus :)

So coffee is ready. I already had some eggs and sausage. Got tired of waiting for the rest of you, so you are on your own for breakfast fixings  Have a nice day everyone.

Good morning! Looks like the first round of bad weather is finally past, wind has calmed down anyway! Sun is out right now! Even if the feels like temp is minus something! I need to go out and shovel...again but may wait a bit for that. Yesterday I went out and shoveled everything and I no more then walked up onto the porch and the wind started, total whiteout!! And all my work was for naught! I need to run to State College today and I'm with you Sue, lunch out sounds good! Today looks like the best day for the next few, more snow coming tonight and the next few. How many days until spring? But on the upside, I'm getting some much needed exercise! I thought I'd be sore this morning after yesterday but I'm not so maybe I'm in better shape then I thought! So as you can see, not much happening here. Just another weather update! Just so you gals in the warm, sunny places can be glad you're where you are! Donna, bet you're glad you aren't up here!! So with that I'll finish my coffee and go out and brave the cold! Have a good one, everyone!

Hello Ladies... this will be my last post for awhile...

I have done everything that was suggested with Princess... she has never ending diarrhea and does not use the litter most of the time... when I have someone helping me with cleaning why should I clean up several times a day for a cat... I am weary and sad... she is a beautiful kitten but not a good one... Taking her back to CISAR this afternoon when Jasmine comes.

I simply do not want to come in here and spread sadness anymore...

This year is starting just like last year...

Hope you are having a good start... God bless each of you always...

Good Morning, I’m on gramma duty again today. Bronc has a fever and can’t go to daycare. I was suspicious that he was coming down with something yesterday when he napped for close to four hours. So I guess we’re going to have a sweat suit, cuddling in the rocking chair Disney channel kind of day. So far we’ve watched a movie from the new Lion Guard series and now he’s just sitting on the floor playing with his toys…not his normal rambunctious self. Guess I’m starting retirement with one of the things I said I planned to do….being on board to take care of Bronc in case the daycare was closed or he was sick. I’m going to have to get down the basement and dig through some boxes and find the boys old Disney movies and but the old TV with the VHS player in the spare bedroom so we can watch movies in bed. If those tapes are still good. Won’t be HD but I doubt Bronc will know the difference.

Downloaded the computer to Windows 10 last week. I think I like it….so far. Still have DUH moments when I try to do something.

Have a good day everyone.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Good Morning All, I haven't posted lately because there is nothing going on in my life that is new. Same ole, same ole. Clear, sunny and cold today as usual. The rain last week brought snow to the mountains. 16 inches up at Laguna. Then this past weekend, traffic jams up there as people drove to play in the snow. Silly San Diegans.
News is full of "Will the Chargers move or won't they" and Who will pay for a new stadium". I am so tired of this crap. Roads are full of pot holes and the powers that be are fighting over how to build a stadium!
I'm still waiting on a surgery date....
Today is the luncheon for the swimming instructors. Only nine of us left now. I'm really not happy with this old age business.
I am really missing not going out to Q.
Wish I were joining you all down in Florida!

Good morning
Having a bit of a break for breakfast, then have to go back to work for an early
release day. Love these days, as I will get off at 1:00. Then,,,,,I have an afternoon date,
with a man, an old cowboy, lol. Don't get excited, lol its nothing.
Shopping for tires over these next couple days, hope the budget will let it happen
cause there is no tread left on the tires. Something that was promised to me when I
went to California last summer and of course didn't happen. Fletchers had a sale, buy 2 get 2. Hoping their banner is still hanging tomorrow when I get paid.
Nothing else is going on in my world, y'all have a great day, and I'm thankful for the
sunshine. :D

Good morning ladies! :D

Kathleen, I am so sorry to hear about your kitten. Sounds like she has something wrong with her. Hopefully, someone can help her. I am sure you are very sad about all this. It has been a tough few months for you with pets. Take care of yourself and we don't mind hearing about your struggles and sadness. We are all here for each other thru the good times and bad. ((hugs)))

Lynn, I remember when ever there was snow up in Mt Laguna, that everyone would pull their kids out of school and head up there! So funny since there really isn't any specific place up there to play in the snow. They just pull over randomly and play on the side of the road! I read that on New Years Day there was a 5 hour backup on the roads going up there and by the time most people finally got up there the snow had already melted! In less than 5 hours, they could have gone to Big Bear and been skiing in feet of snow! Crazy!

There is a lot more snow there than here. We only keep getting a dusting here and there. Maybe only 2 inches on the ground right now. Very unusual for this time of year. However, the temps are spot on! Hovering around zero here with well below zero windchills.

Just had the electrician show up to hook up my thermostat. He left a little while ago and left dust and debris on the floor, so I cleaned it up. The maintenance guy and the owner stopped in and asked if I cleaned up the mess or if he did. I said I did. They were not happy about that. The electrician is suppose to clean up any messes he makes. They inspected his work and ended up having to redo most of it. I guess he is in trouble! But it all supposedly works now, so should be getting cooler in here soon.

Off to work in awhile. I don't like when I have two or three days off in a row because I end up working the next 8 or 9 days straight before getting another day off.

Hope you all have a great day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Quiet here, too. We had a little rain last night and the lake went up maybe 4". I can tell because there was a long sandbar yesterday and that almost gone. I can just see the tops of the grass that was growing on it. Nice to see lake levels rising instead of falling here in California. Only exciting thing this morning was a backhoe that started digging near the camp host's site behind me and a couple that seem to be camping in the back of a truck. They don't seem to be homeless because they have a second, new-looking car (girlfriend??), but this is very chilly weather for outdoor camping. Still 52 of 55 sites available here.

Going to be sunny this afternoon, but with rain returning tomorrow. Most of the rain lately seems to be to the north, which is nice for me because I am heading to Anza Borrego on Sunday. Looking forward to getting back to the desert!

Way past morning. Threw a bunch of stuff in the RV and I'm at Cranes Mill COE at Canyon Lake for the night. It's crowded. Just had a lovely nap and fed the dogs. Soon time for their third walk. No hip pain this evening. RV bed firmer than home bed. Hope everyone had a good day

Good evening everyone. Sorry to hear about your cat Kathleen. I know you had been trying hard to get them adjusted to their new life.
Sorry to hear about Bronc. Seems like they catch every little thing in daycare. I'm sur Grammy hugs will help.
Dave is working on setting up a sleep number bed in the 5th wheel. He's been at it all day. He reconfigured the base and now is working on the rest. He says it'll be done by tonight. We'll see
It's supposed to get down in the 40's tonight but this Saturday and Sunday should be nice.
Good evening
