Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Mornin' ladies ~~~
Temps mild here today, but very grey & very windy. Not a whole lot going on, but if the dealer tells me Colt is ready for pick-up this weekend from the warranty work, I'm going to postpone. Rockford is supposed to get 4" of snow! No way I'm driving in that, even with friends husband doing the driving. Supposed to be 40* on Tuesday, so we'll see. I just want to get Colt home & under his blankie for the winter.

Getting a kick out of Carol. Now I'm picturing you driving in circles, in your jammies, and stopping at dog parks. What a life!

Have a good day ladies & stay safe on the roads.
Cheryl

And bald, to boot!

(just kiddin', Carol ;) )

Good morning everyone!
As Cheryl said, it's definitely NOT a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Tomorrow Angel goes into winter storage. I'm driving her down to the shop just before closing and DH and I will get her inside and covered up. Just have to remember my Bounce sheets today and to toss in her winter cover.

Little Shooter isn't getting sick anymore, at least not that we have seen (which means inside the house anywhere) so I will cautiously retry his antibiotic. My friend who is a vet tech agrees with the vets that it was probably the pain meds that did it. So will give it a try and see what happens. He goes back to vets tomorrow morning for another bandage and recheck. Hopefully he will be able to go back outside without his special "boot". It's an IV bag with the bottom cut off and holes in it for a strip of gauze for a boot lace. I can't believe he's being so good about letting us put this contraption on his foot and keeping it on.

Got totally soaked yesterday while walking dogs. Had to come home and change everything. I even had on a rain coat but the rain leaked inside and got my sweatshirt wet. My jeans looked like someone had turned a hose on me from my knees on down. I was so wet that when I got home I had to wipe my car seat with a dry towel! Not one of my better days.

Nothing new and interesting here. We have an invitation to friends' for Thanksgiving and this year we can go. Last year I was working and it was just too hard to drive the hour down to their house, eat and have to leave right away. No pups or kitties or horses this year (except my own, of course) so we are free to go. Woo Hoo!

Everyone take care,
Kathy
Any day spent in the company of my animals is a good day.

Good Morning Everyone !! Just set down to have the last of my coffee this morning, and thought I would just drop in here and say hi to all. Been busy here, hoping to leave Sunday morning, heading south. Wish I could have left last week end, got down below freezing and I was concerned one night as stayed there several hours. I went and filled propane this morning, yesterday got diesel, would you believe 2.09 a gal. 30 cents less on the gal, then a couple of weeks ago, wish it would stay down there ;)

Did last of my errands, checked with Vet about my Maggie, she seems healthy enough but does this circling and he said more then likely she has doggie dementia. Gave me meds for it, so am in hopes they will help her, she seems to know me most of the time and will follow or hunt me up in evenings, she sleeps a lot, but then she is old, blind and deaf. I've had a terrible past week wondering what I should do about or for her, so consulted vet yesterday and her health doesn't warrant putting her down, which I could not do here by myself and don't think he would want to as she really is in good health for her age, considering.

Today is baking day, I believe, as it is supposed to be really stormy, wind gust already I noticed driving for propane, do not plan to be on the road this afternoon for sure. Sure glad those huge trees are down, we can expect according to weather guy, wind gust up to 40 or more mph. Will bake this morning, as power may go out in the winds this afternoon.

Just getting " ready for trip" type news here, and I really best get moving, not sure what this afternoon will bring,
Safe travels and good health, wished for all,
CArol :)
Kathy, jumped in ahead of me, and Carolb, I want you to notice I didn't pick on you about your hair cuts, and driving around in circles in your jammies???? :o   I say whatever amuses you, go for it !!! ;)

Good Morning all just had my last cup of coffee this morning and I need to get motivated to get the house cleaned or something inside since it is pouring down rain here.
I thought I would run the rv generator for it montlhyexercise run today but with the rain pouring down I do not want to go out and unplug it.
Carol I understand what you mean about being out on the road in high winds. Last week when I was coming home from transporting some rescue dogs to the Chicago area there were very very high winds. I was driving a U Haul van and it was all I could do to keep it on the road. I passed a rv with a toad and they were creeping and had the flashers on. I knew they were while knuckling the steering wheel. I f it had been me I would have been finding a Wal mart parking lot and staying put until the winds died down.
Have a great day ladies guess I need to get motivated and clean house or something.

Good Morning,

Well, Ladies, I am kicking myself for not heading to Florida! So much rain predicted every where in Texas over the next 7 weeks! Having a couple of nice days today and tomorrow. Haven't found any great place to ride in this area tomorrow so may head to a cemetery to walk and take requested photos from the Find a Grave website. Too much rain and wind in many places - Washington State just got hammered again with falling trees and mud slides.

CArol, so glad you will soon be on the road!!

Everyone stay anchored down and dry!!

The sun is out here for now but very, very windy and the temps are starting to drop. Started out in the upper 50's this morning and will end in the low 30's by tomorrow and stay there for the next 4 or 5 days. Brrr! Winter is on it's way! Luckily, no snow in the forecast yet.

Getting ready for work this afternoon. Business and tips are finally starting to pick up now for the holiday season! Yay!

Lola and Sophie (the kitten) are getting along really well now! I think Lola is enjoying playing with Sophie now, since I rarely hear any growling or hissing from her. They just wrestle and chase each other quietly now (other than the sound of elephants stampeding across the room! ). I am so glad they are becoming friends so quickly!

Got another update about the ferrets and they are doing great! Moose has several ferrets that he can use his boundless energy playing with, and Chelsea gets lots of attention from the kids with her "rolling over" trick, and is mom's cuddle bunny! Love it! Still miss them a lot but it sure feels good to know they are in such a great home!

Hope you all have a great day! :D Don't get blown away by the wind!! :o
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Well, my BIL just returned from his doctor, and we still have no definitive answers on the kidney swap-round. So I still don't know if I'm heading to Florida or Arizona after Christmas! All this limbo is getting tedious. Grumble, grumble, growl! :x

Yes, exactly! Thanks for the good wishes, Tina. :D

BIL definitely needs a new kidney, and with his age and other ailments, he's not going to be high on the transplant list. Sister is determined to give hers, but she's not a match. Tampa has one of the top kidney programs in the country, including a swap-round: if someone donates a kidney for you, you will get the first available kidney that enters the pool.

I wouldn't be anywhere else while that is going on -- but all this waiting for info is making me fretful!
