Saturday....again

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Saturday....again

Postby Lotus » Sat Apr 04, 2009 12:55 am

My goodness, this week has flown by! What about for you gals? I just stopped by the kitchen real quick to make sure the table is clean, and coffee pot is ready to go. I'm not ready to eat yet but will be back later with sausage balls....again. (I love sausage balls, in case you can't tell!!) Of course, my staple of Diet Cokes for anyone who goes that route. I'll leave the light on and whoever drops by later this morning, please make sure the coffee is going. Heck, I might just whip up some sausage and biscuits also!! And know there will be biscotti!

I've been so very busy lately decluttering, sorting, etc., and all those things involved with downsizing and putting our house up for sale.....soon! I hope all of you have had a great week and ready for a fantastic weekend!!

It's a good day to sleep, work on crafts or watch movies -- well that is after the chores are done! We are in the blizzard raging out west. North of us the storm looks worse on the radar but they'd said last night it would be worse south of us...guess the storm doesn't listen to the forecasters! We have winds close to 40 and already 5 inches on the ground but it's hard to tell it's snowing and blowing so hard. It's supposed to be a fast moving storm so it won't be here long. East of here it will get wicked so everyone in Iowa, Illinois, Ind, OH, Michigan -- look out! It's not big deal -- it's just winter spring. By June our threat of snow should be gone!

We are safe warm and I'm thinking scrambled eggs, ham & pancakes or just yogurt and fruit. I'll have to go fill my drinking water jugs to make coffee. I don't know about you but I never drink "tank" water. We've had too many different waters in there, mostly non-chlorinated stuff so...we fill our jugs from the outside faucet for drinking.

So, it's going to be a nice scenic weekend, white and wonderful. The snowplow will go by after the storm but...we picked up groceries last night after the fish fry at the church so we are good!

I don't hear any sounds coming from Beth's rig so I guess she is still sleeping. After a year of starting work at 6.00am she deserves a good long lie in. I woke this morning to the sound of Roosters crowing. Where's the gun?

good morning, I'm up, I'm up. Gotta go to work this morning, as my first aid certificate
renewal is due, really screws up my saturday but its 4 hours of overtime so that part
is all good. Will plan to do some gardening this afternoon if the weather permits.
Will at least get one of my pots set in place and filled. Our new trash company brought
us out a big trashcan, which sets in front of my shed all the time unless I redo the
fence and gate so I can get it through there. Its certainly nice to have the big trashcan
but its pretty much an eyesore on a small lot like this and some of the older folks
won't even be able to put theirs away so I'm sure I'll see lots of them setting at the
curb fulltime.
Coffee is ready and I'll make some cinnamon toast for breakfast. Then I'll do the dishes
before I head out the door. Catch ya all later, those that are on the road, be safe and
I'll keep the light on for ya :P looking forward to pics from you girls.

Good Morning from Sunny South Dakota! NOT! We're just starting to get the weather that Soisew is has already been experiencing. Right now it's raining and I hope it turns to snow quickly otherwise we might end up without power. We're in a blizzard warning from 1pm today until 7am tomorrow with forecasted accumulations from 8-12 inches. Had big plans for today...was going to wash rugs and comforters and hang them on the line..guess I can nix that idea and do some other things that I want to do before Easter weekend and company. Feel so sorry for the high school kids, their prom is tonight. Hope the girls have turtlenecks, socks and long johns that coordinate with their dresses! The kids have already been told to bring sleeping bags with them. The post prom party is always in the auxiliary gym after the dance and it runs until about 5:00am, but parents have been told that kids will not be allowed to leave if the weather is bad. Organizers of the post prom party are scrambling for ideas to keep the kids occupied at the post prom party in case the hypnotist and some other entertainment they had booked can't get here. Our neighbor DJ's for wedding dances and he has been asked if the one that was hired can't make it if he would fill in. Luckily the caterer is local. Sure glad that I'm not a teacher/chaperone or have kids in high school anymore!

A quick good morning to all.
Lots to do today and I'm already behind schedule.
Great weather today to be followed by more storms tomorrow, then potential for freeze Monday and Tuesday. This is April; not supposed to happen here - at least it is not snow.
Did anyone see the 2009 RV Show on HGTV last night? Drool, drool. Was disappointed that for Class Bs, they only showed a couple and they were both over $100,000! :o Sigh.
Safe travel wishes to those out and about this week.

It was cold here this AM, a bit of frost our daffodils have pretty much peaked but the ones left didn't seem hurt. I bundled up and went to the farmers market and bought beautiful fresh picked spinach. YUM
I saw the RV show last night and I too was disappointed they didn't show more class B's. I did think the overall interior design has improved in most of the models though. The one that was just over the top in features and size I think was called the Renegade. Can't imagine what it must cost.

Hi everyone!

I'm here in Alexandria Bay for the weekend at the 1000 Ilsands Bluegrass Assoc. kickoff weekend for the bluegrass season. We have taken over the whole hotel,... two large buidings and banquet rooms. Good music, good people. Nasty rain. oh well two out of three isn't bad.

Just a quick hello as I wanted to check email and say hello here and get back to the afternoon jams.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hi all!

Just checking in from GA, camping with dd & gdds in their new 33' TT. DD did fine on her first tow with help from an experienced friend. I'll post pictures in a few days.

I took advantage of the lovely 60 degree, sunny weather today to mow my yard for the first time. My one neighbor has already mowed four times!! :o But he's not normal and quite honestly his yard didn't need it. The weatherman said cool weather with some snow is coming Monday so not to plant just yet. It's hard not to be anxious to put something in the ground with a day like today. I spent time walking through Sam's Club this morning trying to decide if I want to become a member again. I always spent too much money when I belonged before.
