Rainy Friday morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Rainy Friday morning

Postby Liz » Fri Sep 18, 2015 7:06 am

In Indiana anyway. We did have a lovely day for touring bridges though, and I posted some pictures in the gtg thread. Four of us got a head start yesterday for the long drive to Shipsewanna. We will have a shorter drive in the rain today.

Sending prayers out for all that need it today, and wishing safe travels for all those on the road.

Rainy morning here in FL too, would dearly love to see some sunshine. But hey, coffee is almost ready, it's almost the weekend, life is good.

We'll spend the weekend gathering up a few things and then packing for our trip to Karens!!!!

Rainy Indiana Friday

Postby gingerK » Fri Sep 18, 2015 7:09 am

Good morning all,

Just sitting here in Shipshe listening to the rain. Some thunderstorms came thru early and woke me up so I got up and put the coffee on. Feeling kind of achy this morning, the weather sometimes does that to me so I'm not inclined to move very quickly.

Not much else on the agenda, waiting for the rest of the ladies to join us. Hope you're ok in your tent, Eileen and not drowned!

Everyone take care,
Kathy

Good Morning to All. I'm up early this a.m. Still dark here in Vegas with just a tinge of pink way out over the desert. Woke up and couldn't go back to sleep. Only supposed to be in the low 90s again today.
We've got Mexican pastries and delicious Mexican mocha coffee.
Yesterday was a run errands day. Got a bunch of things for my sewing room, now they have to be put together. And my sewing machine cabinet came - all four boxes of it! Sure glad Bill is handy. Also got a new light for beading and sewing. One of those "natural" lights from JoAnns. By mistake the store had left a 40% off sign on the display. And they honored it. Love it. sorted beads all evening yesterday. [See blog] Today there is racing all day so will continue to sort beads and watch/listen to the TV.
About all we have left to do is hang some pictures and put together sewing room. Thank goodness.
Hope the weather in Indiana stays nice for the get togethers. So much to do in both areas.
Travel safely.

Good Morning all -- It is a beautiful day in WI sunny and warm. But we did have a big storm go thru last night-

Shopping today for a some things to put into the trailer cupboards, measured them all yesterday. Need to plan out what to take and where to put it.
Have a good time wherever you are and safe travels.

Waiting around today for the wood for my new floor to be delivered. Fixing up this little cottage has been a challenge! But it's a fun project. My children, and their children, will al be here for Thanksgiving and how will we all fit is beyond me. It will be the first big holiday without our youngest member so it may be a bit difficult, but together we will get through.

Lots of folks with travel plans! Be safe and have fun journeys.

Morning all! A sunny and getting warmer day after a couple of cloudy days with a tiny bit of rain. Need to go to Walmart and Costco today to get what I plan to eat while in the LT van at the hospital. Breakfast is easy but supper coming back to the van late in evening when I'm tired it's a challenge to think of things easy to fix and healthy. Not sure I want a big salad at 10 at night. And I sure don't like their hospital food. Last night I fixed myself a sauté of lots of veggies with a small amount of my birthday steak cut in slices and some leftover brown rice. Did that just to see how I liked that for a meal and I did. Mel, of course fixes his "soup" in the Vitamix with similar ingredients. But of course he will be eating hospital food while we are there.
Judi, "firsts" are always hard. Will be thinking of you these holidays to come.
Have fun at the gtg everyone. Hope you get days of sunshine.

good morning ladies :D
I'm smilin, only because I refuse to let bs put me in a bad mood.
But I am glad its friday, thats for sure cause the work stress only adds to it. I did recently get two new kids on my bus,
siblings and they do present a particular challenge. Very argumentative about rules and its made the afternoons longer.
However, nothing a half bottle of wine can't fix when I get home.
The rest of the stress.....remember the Butte fire I talked about and the families house was ok, blah blah blah, well,
the updates my friend Jon asked me for daily so he could call his relatives and keep them informed.....well, the niece sent me a really nasty nasty note that basically said for me to stay out of it and mind my own business.
That was out of the clear blue.
That really hurt my feelings and Jon told her to send me an apology but she never did. Thats ok, I've let it go. Its not worth
my stress. However, now the fire has flared up in their neighborhood once again even though its 60% contained now. I'm
keeping my helpful fingers to themselves and they can wait for updates when they see them with their own eyes when the
road opens again. See, I've let it go, no more help from the one that actually bothered to care in the first place.
So, no bad mood here, I'm smiling, its friday, we're gonna have a good day and the wine will be good tonight. :D
Ya'll enjoy your day, be safe and have a great gtg.
