Moving Out Tuesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Moving Out Tuesday

Postby Colliemom » Tue Aug 11, 2015 7:07 am

Morning all,

Heading out today with my trailer. First time since I came back from trip west and trailer has been repaired. Just heading north about 40 miles to one of our state parks for a couple of nights. With the Perseid Meteor Showers peaking this week, a number of state parks are hosting what is called Meteors and S'mores this week. Having a community campfire and s'mores. Campers and visitors can bring blankets, chairs or whatever and sit and enjoy watching meteors till whenever they decide to head to bed. Thought it might be something fun. And being my site is not shaded, I should be able to watch some tomorrow night too if I want. Skies are expected to be clear.

Looks like you all have been busy. Carolb, nice to see you post. Sounds like garden is doing well despite no rain. Ava, will be thining of you tomorrow. Kathy, glad you enjoyed your time with the HR group. Yep, gonna have to learn a comfortable speed with Angle. I never drive over 60 when pulling my trailer. I watch others go by me and see them swaying a little and think, well, see ya. Hope you don't lose it. Kathleen, so nice to see you posting again too, glad you have a buyer for your mobile home and are content in your new condo. Hope vet can fix whatever ails Shadow. So many having older dog issues this summer. And for those of you wondering about Sarah, I talk to her on FB periodically, She's just been really busy of late, but will post eventually.

Best get moving around here. Still have a few things to put in trailer and truck. Not in a hurry to leave as site is occupied last night and checkout time is 1:00, so will go up after lunch sometime. Won't have WiFi or TV this trip, so have to rough it, Well, might pick up a couple of stations, but probably won't even bother.

You all have a nice day :)

Morning, Sue & Donna, and those who follow. Jealous of the getup-and-go freedom with the RVs...soon it will be me. In the meanwhile, just working on some sewing and getting ready to go to family cottage in Angola, Indiana next week. Then, home for one day, and off to Seattle to help my niece with her family, as they're moving to an apt. this weekend. Their house sold and they don't have another yet, so renters for a while... she started a new job and has yet to find child care arrangements in the new community, so I get to watch a 6-year-old and 18-month old and help keep the household running. Should be fun, but probably tiring.
My husband is going to the Lake with me, but not Seattle: he plays in two musical groups and both have gigs during that time. Gotta go now and get some food in this house, didn't even have milk for oatmeal or bread to toast for breakfast!
Have fun, be safe,
Eileen

Rain all day here is Vermont, so this will be a quiet day. I will just be happy if it clears up enough tomorrow to ride my bike into Burlington and enjoy some street food and looking around. Nice thing about living in a motorhome is that you can't buy much of anything because there is no room to put stuff!

Eileen, watching my California grandkids is easy because there are only two of them and they are older, but whenever I watch the three in Ohio who are younger, I lose weight! Really. I get so busy fixing food, refereeing arguments, and serving stuff that I forget to eat. A couple of years ago when I had them for a whole weekend, I lost four pounds, but I do enjoy them! Don't know how their parents do it every day.

Going to be a nice, relaxing TV and work day.

Just sneaking in under the wire today. Been very busy this morning moving old hay around, cleaning out loft and putting new tarp and pallets in hay shed in anticipation of hay man's arrival with my new hay. Also had to remember to move Angel as there was no way he was getting a loaded hay wagon down the driveway between the RV and the shed! Whew am I pooped!

Sue, sounds like such fun the Meteors and S'Mores, I sure wish I was going with you.

Donna, so glad you and Nan are having such a nice visit.

Eileen, sounds like you will be having your hands full helping out, but I bet you enjoy it!

Judy sounds as if you are really having a good time sightseeing in that neck of the woods.

Ava, keeping you in my prayers.

Everyone else, have fun, stay safe, and take care,
Kathy
