It's Saturday!!!

Good Morning !!! I know as soon as I try to start this mornings coffee thread, someone else will beat me, but its getting late and if that is what it takes to get it going, well so be it. Everyone must be busy, sleeping in or off to enjoy their week end. My day started some time a go and its break time. Have quite a list of things I would like to do today, that is not saying they will get done, but at least I have a list, so I won't be wondering what to do next :D

Not going to set here long, or I won't even start that list  Coffee has been gone and of course, breakfast, fruit and cereal was some time ago, in fact, my stomach is beginning to wonder what is for lunch :o

Hope you all have a really nice week end, doing something fun, I hope but if not, whatever or wherever, STay Safe !!!

Today is my GS in Florida's 20th birthday, so its a day of memories, we got to keep him and see him a lot, and its hard to believe that many years have gone by,

Have a good one everybody,
CArol :)

I'm up and having pancakes with blueberries and sausage. Yum!

So, leaving Lake Placid today and heading to Ausable Chasm and Ticonderoga, and then in a couple of days I will be in Burlington, VT, so I am making progress to Maine and the Canadian Maritime Provinces.

Parked my motorhome in an empty lot behind the train station yesterday at the suggestions of the visitor center people and then waited for an hour and 20 minutes for the trolley. I strongly suspect he just skipped my stop thinking no one would be there and because it is out of the way. Should have been there 20 minutes after I arrived. Anyway, made multiple calls to trolley people and visitor center and even city hall, who I was told was in charge of trolley. It was over a mile to walk to town so I could not do that. Was getting more and more irritated. I was getting beyond furious and threatened to leave and post awful things about the town and never come back!!! (This was to lady at town government.)

Would you believe very kind lady from visitor center actually came, picked me up, and took me into town!! I will have to send a letter to them thanking them. She was extremely nice and said that trolley was a constant problem.

Well, off I go. Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

Wohoo! Five months from today I retire! Yes! Can’t wait.

Today is a going to be a busy one. Missy’s daughter is getting married. The wedding is at the farm of her future in-laws. They built a new 60’ x 100’ machine shed just for the occasion! Ceremony is at 6:00 followed by a reception and dance. There is going to be a band, bounce houses for kids…an ice cream machine…oh it’s going to be a par-taa! And this old lady will be ready to go home by 9:00! Ryan is a groomsman in the wedding so we’re bringing Bronc home with us for the night so the kids can enjoy the evening. Our camper is providing lodging for one of Missy’s friends and her husband.

Tina was here for three nights last weekend. That was fun. We didn’t do a lot but certainly enjoyed her company.

My mother celebrated her 96th birthday Thursday. I had taken Monday off and took dinner to the house. My sister called last night and told me that mom has decided that she wants to go to the nursing home. She has been pretty much house bound for the last three months. The mind is good but the body isn’t. The house has steps out and the main level only has a half bath and she just can’t do the steps anymore. She told Mary Ann Friday morning she thought it was time for the move.

So that’s my bi-monthly news. Hope everyone is doing what they enjoy!
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.
