Deck Cleaning Thursday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Deck Cleaning Thursday

Postby Colliemom » Thu Jul 09, 2015 6:17 am

Morning all,

Yep, today is deck cleaning day. Need to finish the prep work before staining. So getting the stripper and cleaner and if it doesn't get too sunny can apply it later. Stripper says not to put in hot decks or in sun. Excuse me, but my deck is in sun

Had a wonderful time with Louise yesterday. Had a great lunch and yakked up a storm for 3 and a half hours. Looked at my trip pictures, the which I need to share with you, but need time to out in Photobucket first.

Made a post in Shipshewana GTG thread. Need to get the dates settled.

So, nothing else new here. Tome to get a move on. Have a great day all. :)

Good morning Sisters!
Another rainy day here, will this stuff never quit? At least it LOOKS like I've finally got that leaky window fixed! But need a harder rain to really be sure it's still not weeping.

Last easy day here today, have one dog and a house to clean. There was something that I needed to go to Joliet for but darned if I can remember what the heck it was! All I remember was thinking I needed to get it done on Wed. or Thurs. because I wouldn't have time on the weekend.

DH went to get his blood pressure tested to see if new meds are working and apparently they are. He reports it was pretty good. But his blood test results were not as good; I guess his cholesterol is getting up there and they warned him against "drinking too much" because his liver tests were high. Well, he has a condition where if he fasts for a test, his liver enzymes will be higher than normal. He's had it for years and we told the Dr. about it but they must not have listened. DH is definitely NOT a drinker! Most he will have is the occasional glass of wine with spaghetti dinner or about once every couple of months a beer. Sure wish Drs. would LISTEN to us!

Time to go turn out my own ponies, how they love to go out in the rain-NOT!

Take care and be safe,
Kathy

Mornin' Sue & Kathy...

I agree about the dreary weather, but I'll take cool & cloudy over humidity & tornado warnings any day.

Found out yesterday that upper management & the board made a decision that no one has a clue as to what mess it's going to cause in the systems, reports, etc, so our fiscal year-end looks like it's not quite over yet. I guess with being at one employer for 38 years is a blessing & curse at times. Now I have to get info together today, and meet with the higher ups to fill them in on things. How much longer until my retirement? TOO LONG!

Thought of Lori this morning. Anyone heard from her? Last I saw she had some good news, but didn't see anything after that. Hope her, Ernie & Spinner are having a good summer.

Have a good day everyone & if you're on the road stay safe.

Morning all. Another sunny and hot day here in Florida, heading to the pool for water aerobics in a bit, then off to Daytona to return some things to Bed Bath & Beyond.

So glad to have the car back from the body shop! Not thrilled at $550 out of pocket to repair a dent some inconsiderate person did in a parking lot, but gotta be careful about rust down here.

Good morning all.
Looks like deck is the theme for today.
I finally finished staining the back deck a few days ago.
Today the construction crew is here to take down and replace the damaged porch roof on the side deck.
They promised it would be all finnished by Monday.
Lots of company here next week, including my two young granddaughters(ages1 and 2) Can you tell I am excited?
Need to get amove on here .... things to do today.
Have a great day and safe travels to all.

good morning ladies, I have returned to the land of the living, thought I would not survive yesterdays bout of the 7 feathers flu.
But of course the rest of the girls did assure me it would pass. Today I continue on south heading for home. I have a few things on my list to see on the way.
Ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Glad to hear that you continues to crawl back to the living Alice and were ready to continue this morning. :) Mitch pulled out a few minutes ago and I will be ready within an hour. Since I don't know where I will land tonight I thought I should clear the e-mails before heading out. I am heading over towards the Oregon coast where Laura posted they found temperatures 30 degrees cooler. I have plenty of jeans left....

I think Lyn is going to check if she might stay one more night but she is doing much much better herself. Casey is a very happy dog to have her Lyn back walking her! :) She wasn't a fan of walking with any of the rest of us. Hope everyone has an awesome day. Keep an eye out for those wonderous discoveries that can sneak up on you when you least expect it.

Good morning from the Oregon Coast. Yes, it is 30 degrees cooler here AND it is kind of raining. Not really "rain" but probably just soggy fog. I don't even care! Its COOL! This is a nice park but nothing special. It will be perfect for 4 more days. After that, I'm not sure where we will go.

Glad Ava is feeling better and back on the road. I hope everyone that got sick is on the mend. I'm feeling better each day and even fixed myself a steak last night. It wasn't a giant steak but could only eat half of it.

Nothing much on the agenda today. Just going to enjoy not having to listen to the a/c run 24/7. The chairs got wet last night but they will dry eventually. It was quite breezy here when we arrived so didn't put the awning out. The wind can whip up with very little notice on the coast so will just leave it rolled up.

Everyone have a great day and be safe in your travels.

Just got back from running errands and going to the Ford dealer. Unfortunately, they were not able to get at my emergency brake to fix it. They did refer me to a truck repair place in this area, but I had to just leave a message with them. Hopefully, tomorrow I can stop by on my way to St. Ignace. It is about half-way down to my next campground, so it would be very nice to be able to stop on my way. No big truck stops in this very northern part of Michigan.

Still enjoying watching the boats go by. I posted yesterday about this campground on Interesting Places and have photos on my blog if anyone is interested in a Michigan city campground where all the big lake freighters have to go past. Close enough to see people on deck and even wave.
