Warm Monday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Warm Monday

Postby Colliemom » Mon Jul 06, 2015 6:37 am

Morning All,

Going to get a bit warm in these parts today. 86 on forecast. Not my kind of weather. But it's only temp, by tomorrow going down again and rain in forecast. Could use some. Things are getting a bit dry here.

Nothing special going on here of late. Just working o my deck, power washed it yesterday and think I have removed about all the old stuff of it that I can get. Now to go over one more time with scraper and sander. Maybe get a coat of stain on it later this week.

Been checking state parks and they are full up. So won't be doing any camping for the foreseeable future unless I find a site open at one of my favorite ones. Have to keep checking as cancellations do pop up and things change. Probably will be heading into the U.P.. First have to get trailer back and that will be at least another 3 weeks I figure as it will take two just to get the parts in. But since parks are full, doesn't matter anyway. May have to start looking at the private parks instead although much prefer the state parks.

Donna, fuuuny, now that you would like some rain to test your roof, none is around. Ava, time to head home already? Barb, hope you get that camper fixed so you can sell it and be done with it. Sounds like you have been enjoying your kayak. West coast GTG starts this week, so hopefully we will hear about the goings on and see some pics. CArol, are you on the road now?

Having issues with FB, so don't know when I will be back on for those of you who are on my FB list. Tried to send Louise (HavingFunNow) some info and FB got suspicious and locked my account. Now have to wait to see when and if they open I back up. Sent the requested ID info, but so far have seen or heard nothing from there. From research I have been doing, appears that others with this problem have been very frustrated with FB and going now where's.

Guess it's time to get moving here. Do have a few things on agenda for this morning, one of is getting washing from washer to dryer, then changing my bed, banking etc. Need to drop off power washer at cousin's. So best be getting to it while it's cool this morning. Have a nice day all.

Gmorning Sue, Donna & all to follow :)

Hot, humid & rain here too--for most of the week they say....Everyone have a good 4th weekend? Ava, I too am surprised to hear you're already heading south! Glad you had a great time with dad & fam:)

Barbie, you say all went well with the camper--does that mean the couple bought it? I've lost track of your plans--going to get something different?

Getting HB ready to go again--getting the yard under control & will head out to meet with Peg & other RT friends for a few days...

Y'all have a great day & be safe always! 8-)

Morning/afternoon all. Another warm 90 degree day in northern California! Mostly clear skies with clouds and sometimes storms over the Sierras which we can see from our deck. Had a nice 4th with visit and fireworks with neighbors after dark. Lots of the illegal fireworks all around and ended up calling police twice for street behind us who chose to have aerial illegal fireworks and sent them over my yard and garage. Fortunately no fires here. Tomorrow we see speech pathologist but I don't expect any miraculous solutions for hubbies swallowing or speech. And we still are waiting on results of pathology on needle biopsy of last week on lymph nodes. I'm having allergy/ respiratory issues, since being out in smoke Saturday but I'm headed to Curves soon. Pretty quiet here otherwise.
Hope the gals in Oregon are having fun together. Have a good week all.

Still behind on posts here. Will get caught up one of these days!

Sprained my foot early this morning doing something very stupid. So I'm just gonna say I tripped over the cat! That is my story and I'm sticking to it! Got it wrapped good and doesn't hurt too bad. Made it thru 9 holes of golf tonight with not much problem.

Very smoky around here from the Canadian fires. Got windy today and my eyes are burning tonight. Really a mess up there with over 200 wildfires burning. So sad! Makes for some beautiful sunsets tho.

Got a call from the guy who's working on the camper. The new lift assembly is costing $275. But has to get done in order to sell it. Will make that up in what I sell it for. The original buyers are still wanting it after it is fixed. Hopefully will be fixed by the end of the week.

Tomorrow is my dad's 89th birthday. So today I told him I was taking him "out to lunch", and instead surprised him and took him to his sister's place. They haven't seen each other for several years so they were both very happy to see each other. I also wanted him to see her assisted-living apartment so he could see how nice they can be. He was pretty impressed. Maybe he will be less hesitant to consider that for himself now.

My brother's new little puppy broke it's leg over the weekend and they had to take her into the U of M veterinary clinic for surgery. Poor puppy can't play or be active for 6 to 8 weeks! That is almost half of her little life so far!

I think that about covers what is going on with me. Gotta go catch up with what is going on with all of you now!

Have a good night!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
