Yard Sale Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Yard Sale Saturday

Postby Liz » Sat Jun 13, 2015 7:10 am

Good morning from sunny Wells, Maine. Today is yard sale day here at our campground. Nan and I have cleaned out our compartments and hope to get rid of some stuff that has just been taking up room and adding unnecessary weight. It's supposed to be a nice day, so we hope for a good turn-out. I hate sitting all day at a yard sale, so hope everything goes early, lol.

Hope everyone has a fun and safe travel or leisure day today.

Good morning ladies,

Good luck with the yard sale Liz, and hoping you have better weather Donna.

Rain has held off for 3 days now, so I managed to have the gutters cleaned and I washed and power washed the 3 decks here. I need to let the decks thoroughly dry before I can begin staining. This is my last big project before I have realtors in to find out what I can hope to get for the house.

I love this place and my neighbors are fantastic but this large 3 story 4 bedroom house needs a loving family, not just me. If need be I will pack up what I want to keep, put it in storage, have an estate sale with the rest, and travel for a year. This was our dream, now I need to move forward with it.
Forward HO!! here.

Have a great day everyone and safe travels to all.

Good morning all!

Finally a sunny day here in the Midwest! Just makes me feel so much better. I also feel I have turned a corner on my situation. As Brenda said Forward! It has been with lots of help from all my friends and family but I am coming out of a long dark tunnel.

Liz, how cool is having a yard sale in a campground! Good luck to you and Nan! Good thing I'm not there, I'd be buying tons of stuff I probably don't need

Donna, here's hoping that darn rain finally gets out of the way and you get the chance to head out on some of your trips.

Ava so exciting! Whale watching looks like it would be so cool! Someday maybe I'll get to do it.

Brenda, I like your attitude and it's picked me up too! Forward! for both of us!

Finally! put the dogs back out in the kennel! I have no idea whatever happened to that skunk but the smell is gradually going away and it no longer smells in the kennel area. I think it died under the lean-to where we keep some lumber and our lawn tractors, still stinks a little in there.

Breakfast was cinnamon roll and coffee. There's one left if you want it!
Have a great day everyone,
Kathy

Not much going on in the campground this morning. I drank my pot of coffee and had a breakfast sandwich. Just waiting for some movement. It rained off and on most of yesterday. After we went out to eat we sat outside until 10:00. I was surprised there were no bugs. The campground has lunch for the guests on Saturday. The man in the office told some that it would be hot dogs and the lady told me it would be pizza. lol Guess we will have a surprise. After lunch some are going to the casino. If there are stores near the casino I could go to I might go but not going to a casino.

Harold called me this morning wanting to know where I hid the cat food. lol He said it was storming at home. Just what we need, more rain.

It's been a strange week weather wise in our corner of California. We had 105 Monday, high 90's Tuesday, 72 degrees and all day rain Wednesday, mid 90's Thursday, and 106 Friday. Today back with 90's. Husband had hearing tested yesterday and as expected his low frequencies are pretty good but high frequency range drops out but in a range where it's iffy whether a hearing aid would help and she said likely won't help on right but might on left but because he has a tube in his ear and it drains, that would ruin a hearing aid, so we really got nothing accomplished other than confirmation. Oh well. Next Monday we go back to see if the doctor thinks the swollen lymph node on the right side of his jaw has changed, we don't think it has. That, If unchanged may lead to biopsies and more stress. Add to that we learned his father, my father in law of 39 years, and at age 90 , is likely close to his final journey and we can't possibly travel to Oklahoma right now. Nothing I can do about that, but it sure hurts to think about.
Other than all that things are ok here. I go to Curves, walk on treadmill, and try to keep up around the house. All we can do is dream about travel through all your beautiful word pictures so I thank you all for that.
Have a good weekend all.
