Tropical Thursday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Tropical Thursday

Good Morning, Just walked all three dogs, one at a time and would have been more comfortable walking them at six. Humidity is already pretty high. I have a mobile wash and wax service coming to wash and wax poor Elsie today. :) DH kept saying he would but then he took a close look and decided I'd best have it done.
Time to get breakfast on, we have eggs and toast plus Kathleen's favorite oatmeal with blueberries.

Humid Thursday

Postby Beannie » Thu Jun 11, 2015 7:55 am

Good Morning all, something tells me it is going to be a very low yucky day. My son took me to a concert last night that I asked to get tickets for my birthday. Well didn't get home from show until 12:40am then had to get up at 5am to come to work. I want to crawl under my desk and go back to sleep, (if that was only possible :( ) The harder part is going to be after I get off work I have to help my sister move from her house to her condo (which we have spent the last 2 months working on, painting, cleaning, buying furniture for and installing all new floors)
I am so ready to sneak off to our 5ver and sleep the reset of the month away.
There is lots of coffee this morning and I stopped and got donuts, I hope everyone has a safe fun dry Thursday!!!

Morning Ladies,

Good idea having somebody else do Elsie BJ, saves a lot of elbow grease. This rig needs a cleaning too, inside and out. I can wash it here on my site, but do not have extra hose and wash stuff along, so will probably just clean the bugs off the front. Mom Nature kind of gave it a bath the other day  Sorry to hear that some of you are into hot humid weather. Looks like lower part of MI is going to have some too. It's cloudy, damp and cool here in West Yellowstone. Supposed to be partly cloudy later on. That's okay. Need a down day so to speak after two days of intense sightseeing in the park. Yesterday we did the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone area as well as Yellowstone Lake. Road is closed from the Old Faithful area down and west across the park, so have to backtrack to get back to West Entrance. Saw an elk, some Canada geese and more bison, the which of I had an up close and personal encounter with. Two on side of road were grazing, one I think was getting fed up with the attention they were getting and started trotting back up the road. Figured it was going to come out behind the 5er that was last in line, which it did and started walking up the middle of the road ahead of me. So no choice but to follow along leading a long stream of vehicles. Forgot about the second one till I happened to glance in my side view mirror and saw nothing but bison head  It was walking right alongside my truck. One side step and it could have bumped the truck. So stopped to let it go on by. Could have patted it's head if I had wanted to. Noooooooo....... They walked a few more feet and then left the road. Now that was an experience.

So after seeing all the beautiful scenery, the canyon, the falls, the mud volcanos, steaming caldrons etc. was time to return home. Miss Molly was all wore out and all she wanted to do was come in here and go to bed. She zonked out about 10 minutes after we got back. Wasn't even interested in what I was having for dinner  But later I took her for a walk and she got to play with some kids, their mom and their soccer ball. So she had a full day.

Well, HW is ready to do dishes, dark clothes are washed, dried and put away, so time to get moving, get dressed and take Miss Molly for a walk. Then see where the day goes. Probably putts around here and in West Yellowstone. Saving last big ride for tomorrow when we will go to Mammoth Hot Springs and over that way. Figuring that park will probably be pretty busy on Saturday, so may just do a little small stuff driving. Have a nice day everyone.

Good morning all. Been a few days since I have been here but have tried to at least read posts to keep up with everything going on. Lots of exciting travels going on! I've had a crazy, busy week around here. Just trying to keep up with "stuff" around the house and lots of running for one reason or other! Keep looking at poor Lola sitting in the driveway and just want to run away! BJ, wish I could find someone to come give her a good bath and wax. It would be worth it at this point! Donna, I read your blog and understand what you are saying about trying to sell your house. I live in a small town also and lots of houses on the market but very few selling. Or else they stay on the market for a very long time before they either sell or are taken off the market. Definatly something I worry about. We have had some warm temps and humidity with some pretty good storms roll through! My one dog starts shaking a bit before one hits so I usually know when we are going to get hit! That's when I start closing windows! Well, coffee is done so guess I should get busy! Take care and travel safe.(Sue, just saw you post, sounds like the wildlife got a little to close! Now there's one for the memory book!)

Which State park Ava?
It's going to warm back up here today, after a rainy cool (73) day yesterday. Supposed to be 95 today and 102 tomorrow. What a weird week, 105 Monday, 73 Wednesday, and 102 Friday! It will be humid today I bet, but dry by tomorrow. It was nice having the sprinkles yesterday. I'm up early trying to reach the Medicare Disability person handling my sons update, but she never answers her phone, always a machine there and she never returns phone calls. Ugh.
So much fun reading of everyones travels. ESP fun to hear of gals traveling in tandem, each in your own rig. that would be so much fun.
Have a good day all and stay safe wherever you are.

All of you in muggy humid weather - come on out to the Oregon coast! Cool nights and sunny days! It's so lovely. The beaches are beautiful as are the state parks, many of which have hook-ups. Beverly Beach State Park even had cable tv in one loop.

I'll be leaving Cannon Beach tomorrow to return to Portland for granddaughter Celia's 3rd birthday party. Safe and happy travels everyone!

Wisconsin appears to be off the pattern for everyone else here today, weather-wise. After a HOT Wednesday, in the 90s, it's cool and rainy here. But it's a relief from yesterday: we went to the Chicago Botanic Garden yesterday, in the heat, and enjoyed it a lot despite the perspiration. Today, it's in the 60s, and raining intermittently. Glad to read about everyone's travels, and looking forward to the Frankenmuth GTG next weekend.
