Oh No It's Monday!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Monday ....comes around again

Postby BirdbyBird » Mon Mar 23, 2009 8:10 am

Good Morning......very quiet around here. Must be spring break for the teachers and the rest of us, oh well... The coffee is on and a few sugary delights are sitting here to tempt anyone. Think we need more fresh fruit, not that it would keep me from grabbing what I shouldn't. I need to finish up my morning reading and make some phone calls to check prices for Blondie's x-rays. It is time to see how many puppies are waiting to come out next week or so. At 4 in the morning it is so much nicer to have a general idea how many pups are due. It cuts down on the surprises. I really would like to take her to the clinic I worked for but I friend who raises Springer Spaniels told me to check with her vet. She has been going to them for years. Their clinic is in a more rural area, are very thorough and he gives a price break for those with multiple animals :) I like quality services with economics too! Hope everyone enjoys there day. Looks to be spring like around here. Next thing, we will need to cut grass.

Monday Morning Coming Down....

First day of a work week for many of you, I know...so you are busy getting yourselves ready. I'm on permanent Spring Break, so have time on my hands.

Speaking of coming down, there were a few brief sprinkles of much needed rain on this parched FL ground this morning. Firefighters fighting brush fires around the state will appreciate whatever they can get. I've got to wash my RV today... after my trip to the Gulf, it's covered with road dust.

Hope your day goes smoothly and to those traveling, don't forget to use your camera and share with us!

Oh No It's Monday!

Goooood Morning Sistahs!!!!

Only have time for a short greeting this morning. I slept in a little bit as I was wiped out last night by time I got home. I went up with David to see the house where they are going to be living. And us too for a couple of weeks. It's an old house, poor Jenny and poor David for sure!!! I had not realized how much work they have been doing on the place. David has been re-doing and fighting with the plumbing in the house for about forever. He finally got the water running and he is so proud of the toilet flushing!!! He was crowing about it last night. LOL

Kelly is done with her shower and that is my cue that I need to get off my butt and get dressed! Waaaaa All I want to do is go back to bed.

Hey OO HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Hope you did something special.

Diana!!!!! WOOOOHOOOO Hey girl you got ya a new rolling home!!! I am so happy and excited for you!!! Awesome and way to go.

Ok, coffee is done and of course it's minus a cup or two. But there is plenty left. Tea kettle has been squalling it's brains out so someone needs to grab it and shut it up. Make yourself some tea! :D Not much on the table this morning, sorry. I've just been to busy to go grab anything and sure haven't done any baking. But I do have some banana nut muffins and English Muffins. Peanut butter and jelly are on the counter. Catch ya'll later.

Have a great day and stay safe everyone.

Love to all

Good Monday morning!
I've got to work up some trick to get myself back to that pesky "to do" list which is growing larger daily as I just lolly gag around enjoying spring. Can't believe I spent half a day trying to track down ID for a tree when so many other things need attention. Oh well, spring only comes once a year and I'm thrilled it is finally here.
Hope everyone gets to do something fun today.

Good afternoon, all!

Long day at school, and still VERY cold for this late in March. I just started a new woodfire in my stove, and it feels DARN good!

Liz's post about Mt. Redoubt erupting is certainly interesting and noteworthy. I will keep an eye on that, as all you AK caravaners should, especially. Another one on the Aleutians is spewing a bit, too.....things getting active on old Mother Earth. After experiencing my first earthquake, I have never again taken for granted the old quip about 'on good old solid ground!' Our earth is anything but solid and stable! Always keeps us on our toes!

And then there's that recent near-miss from space----the HUGE meteorite that just passed far enough away to avoid being drawn down to crash into us. I thought those days of surprise meteorites were over! Apparently NOT!

We are just young puppies when it comes to understanding our planet, solar system, and universe. But we sure have come a long way since I was in Kindergarten!

Life is many things, but NEVER dull or mundane.

Liz, I will be in FL from March 30 through April 7th---have to start for home April 8th,as my friend really wants to be home for Easter with her huge family. It's a shame, as we just got word that one of our unused snow days will be given to us the Monday after Easter, so I don't have to be back at school until Tuesday, the 14th! Maybe I'll see how much it would cost to fly her home and I will drive back by myself. We shall see.

Hope you all had a fun day!!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!
