Wednesday, March 4th

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wednesday, March 4th

Good Morning,

Well, thought I would get the Coffee going since Donna is off enjoying her time at Hardee Lakes. And some of the other "regulars" are out doing things like working, sleeping etc.

Had cottage cheese along with some sausage for breakfast today. Protein breakfast. Have more if you want some. Or have other stuff as well. Looking over all the pics, Liz put in her blog of the Dutch oven food, sure gets one's appetite going. Scrumptious looking stuff. Thanks for posting it Liz. Guess the group still at Hardee Lakes have gone AWOL. Having too good a time to let us in on it

I'm about to head out and spend some time with my snowblower and shovel after yesterday's 3 inches of wet snow followed by freezing rain last night. Typical March weather here.

Kathleen, Beth is right. Most insurance companies won't cover more than one Mammo a year. And if yours are negative, you don't need one every year. Every two years is the recommendation now. You should get with a n advocate department from a Senior citizen aging commission and have them help you out. That's what they are there for. I meet with one lady in our Commision on Aging here in Gaylord once a year to do the yearly review of my insurance. But in the meantime they can give you info to think about.

Time to get moving here. Want to get that snow done. Am looking forward to the warmer weather coming in this weekend. Forvthose keep saying you want a talk with with Phil, he did predict 6 more weeks of winter ;)

Good morning from the die hards still hanging around Hardee Lakes. Not quite as foggy this morning as the past two but other than the fog, weather near perfect plus a full moon.
If you look really close at edge of table, you can see somebody was very busy building a trap. Also note fog. Will add a couple more photos to Hardee Lake gtg thread. Later will start a new topic with our extended stay here.
Cleaning on todays agenda then maybe just watch the sunset and moon rise while keeping eye out for 'gator and little green frogs that seem to think they should come inside.

Have a good day.

Good Morning Sue and everyone else to come.... yes cold here old Phil doesn't want our snow to melt! The year my husband and I went to Hawaii we had a bad winter... we went to bed the night before our flight when we got up it had gotten very warm in the night and the snow melted!! it was the first part of April... so we may be in for a long ride!

The mammogram is all cleared up... the hospital uses 3d imaging and the insurance will not pay for that... my previous was 10/13 this one was 12/14... the insurance paid for the mamo but not the 3d imaging... they wrote that part off as many insurances consider this experimental... It was very interesting to see the 3d imaging it was like seeing right inside with all the veins ect... a number of years ago I had a lumpectomy that turned out negative so they believe this kind is important... all done and glad... Sue I will call senior citizens today... they are the ones that give me help with electric/gas and have the lady help me 3 hours a week... I am very glad for this...

I am still messing around with my smart phone tracfone... it is very interesting... will call my current company AT&T and find out when my contract is finished... I think it is in may or june not sure... if it is too far away I will simply activate this phone with a new number and later change it to my real number... that would give me a chance to learn all the features... where are you Wendy? she showed me on my phone one year that I had a lot of features I did not know about!

I have all of my pictures as my screen saver they scroll through and I get to relive some wonderful times...

Hope this day finds you feeling much better Barbie... everyone take care and smile often!

Sarah good morning looking forward to more pictures...
Kathleen or Kathy

Good morning! Guess I should cut and paste one of my older posts! Same stuff, different day!! Although we did get more sleet and freezing rain last night then we have gotten in the past. I decided I needed to get out and shovel, chip and whatever before the temps dip later. Got the sidewalk done but forget the driveway! It's just gonna have to be what it is! Temps are supposed to warm up in a few days with some sun so that will just have to do! Not really planning to go anywhere anyway.

Glad you got the Mano situation figured out, Kathleen. Interesting the insurance company calls it experimental. Wonder when they'll decide it's new technology and is here to stay. Barbie, glad you're feeling better.

Well, ladies, a friend is here for coffee so I will check in later!

Good Morning!

Chilly mornings in Arizona and some cooler days. I'm actually grateful for the days and nights of rain along with L having to find new insurance - had some time to do 'my thing'.

Kathy, sorry the MH didn't work out, but I know about the time to think after. I went through that with first truck camper. Kathleen, happy to know you got an answer about your insurance. I have certainly enjoyed photos and blogs of the Hardee Lake GTG. I trust Tina is safely home. All of you with cold weather and snow, what can I say?

I spent a couple days cleaning carpet and upholstery. I found a convenient way to leave my printer out when parked so I can work on genealogy as time allows. Yesterday I spent the afternoon and into the evening working on it - progress!! This was grandparents, Mother's siblings, and my cousins so brought back a lot of stories and memories.

Good friends are here and we will ride a little later. Wanting to wash and wax the SS today before taking it to the dealer tomorrow - having the back up camera replaced and they will redo wheel alignment as they didn't center the steering when doing the recall work. That's part of the reason I was having so much trouble loading onto the trailer. Dealer is 1 1/2 hours away so will have a nice ride. Hoping L gets my headphones installed in my helmet - already has his in place.

Hope you all have a wonderful day no matter the weather!

Good morning (barely)!

Cancelled my dad's dr (eye) appointment (by my dad's request) so I could stay home on this cold day and recup some more. Now I have another issue. I was coughing so hard the past couple days that I pulled some muscles in my lower back and that is very painful now. I am OK standing or laying down but sitting in a chair is not good. I have been using a heating pad but isn't doing much. I am going to try to lay down as much as possible today, especially if I start coughing, to keep from re-straining it. Always something!

Sounds like we are all in for a nice warmup soon! Finally! Our drive-in diner down the street is opening this weekend already! That is a true sign of spring here! And the ice houses are off the lake now too. Hopefully, I will get my kayak out on the water in a couple months! Maybe my studio will be done by then! (not holding my breath on that tho! ).

Gotta go lay down again, my back is hurting. Hope you all have a great day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Have spent most of the day so far running errands including the grocery store run, the library run, the Goodwill hunting for smaller jeans run and the unload the kayaks and accessories from the back of the Honda job. I still need to stop by the car wash place when they reopen (They weren't open today) so that they can wash the outside and wash down and blow out the inside. Those in FL that watched the firewood come out of the back of my car will understand. The firewood run also required driving along a dust campground road with the rear lift door wide open.

The weather persons are a predicting a heavy, deep snow starting around rush hour this afternoon and continuing through the night. I already got an e-mail from DRC (the corporation that does the test scoring) that requests that I call in early in the morning and check status before I leave the driveway. Sounds like a reasonable plan to me. I saw a post/picture from a friend from earlier in the winter when she was working a project and there was a big storm. The parking lot was nearly empty and they were able to get little done with such a skeleton staff.

Spring is coming, spring in coming, spring is coming......

Tina, so happy to see you made it home safely.
Those car wash guys are going to wonder what on earth you put inside car to make such a mess. BTW: We are still using some of the wood nightly. for campfire. Thank you.

Ahhhh it's been a day, ladies.

First I was chasing down the reason for my homeowner's deductible to jump up 100%. Called my agent but the girl who took the call couldn't answer the question so she will have someone else look into it and call me back. Ok.

Next just happened to check something on our website and the entire site is gone--disabled they say. What the heck? So off I go to look for the reasons for this, well, can't get into my account forgot the username/passwords. Tried emailing the guy who set it up for us and the email was returned. Look around find them get in, says account not paid for the last two months WHAT? Now I have to go dig out credit card statements see if they billed it, yes they did BUT not for Jan. and Feb. Go back into web account, change credit card to a different one to pay for the overdue account because I've had it with the previous card I was using. Now I want to know where the money went on the cc bill so call them up; they say the money went to pay previous bills not Jan/Feb. No bills from website company for those months so cc bill is zero. Yay for them.

This is on top of earlier this week trying to run down why our worker's comp insurance jumped up $2400; between my insurance agent and me we managed to run this down and get it straightened out. Also, I apparently now have a health insurance policy that pretty much nobody in my area takes, so trying to figure out how to dump it without getting penalized (can't change it till October now). If my DH comes home and asks me to look up and order parts or figure out some kind of paperwork I think I will scream.
Any day spent in the company of my animals is a good day.

Tina, glad to hear you are home. With all this crazy weather you never know what you will run into. It's 80 today and going down into the 30's tonight. You could have come by my house and picked up some jeans since I have about 4 different sizes. Of course, my jeans on you would be capris.

I had my second cataract surgery this morning. Glad that's over with. A couple of more appointments and a month of drops and I will be through. I don't remember Harold having to keep doing eye drops for a month but he went to a different doctor.

Martha, glad your surgery is over! Yay.

Tina, the only time I find clothes buying fun is when I'm going for the smaller size. Yay, you!

Anita, I thought of you on Wednesday as we drove home on freeway. We were passed by a bike somewhat similar to your SS but was another brand, might have said track or trax? I was doing 64 and lets just say the motorcycle was going faster, quite a bit faster! It went off freeway ramp before ours. I had been trying to tell Mel about your SS but unit he saw this speed by I don't think he got it. theirs was white.
