March Monday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

March Monday

Morning,

Monday again. Beginning of the work week for those who are still doing that :) First the rest of us, it's another day to play, travel, relax, whatever suits our fancy

Going to be a nice day here and weather is warming up. We broke all time coldest February this year. Average temp of 3.2, -15. 6 below normal average. No kidding  But its' behind us, so now the long slow march to spring has begun. Storm heading this way for tomorrow.

Kathy, congratulations on your new to you wheels. Can't wait to see the pics. Sounds like you might have found a winner there. Will be fun to watch how you get it up to the way you want. And yes, trying to find those smaller ones is hard to do. I lost out on one a couple of years ago too, then decided to just buy another trailer and the heck with it Looking forward to pics eventually. Ava, getting ready for your trip already. Seems like it was a ways off and now it's time. Enjoy it and have a safe trip. Carolb is AWOL at the moment, probably out running around and seeing sights. The Hardee Lake GTG is over as far as the big gathering is concerned, but understand some are staying put there for a few more days. Loved the pics of the gals out on the water enjoying the day. Anita, sorry to here about your niece, hope they get it under control. Had a neighbor with Crohn's and she had all her life. Tina, assume you arrived home safely. Irmi, you and Steve seem to be having so much fun in FL.

Not a lot on the agenda here today at the moment. Miss Molly and I are heading to her vet's office just to get weighed on their scale and also get a pedicure. Then I will make quick trip to the store before we come home. After that, might go back to state park this afternoon and do another doggie walk as tomorrow sure doesn't sound like a walking day.

Not much doing for breakfast here today, just a bowl of cereal followed by a bowl of strawberries. So, am going to wish you all a nice day out there :)

Good morning all! Another repeaat day! More snow to contend with this morning. It snowed all day yesterday so I think I'll drag out the snowblower instead of trying to shovel. A repeat day! And they are saying freezing rain and sleet later today. I spent all day Friday back and forth to the hospital with my friend, they kept her until yesterday. But she is doing better now. She had surgery on her shoulder and the week end was up in the air as to when she would be coming home.

Kathy, so exciting that you finally found a new rig! As everyone else, I can hardly wait to see pics and hear more about it! Let the fun begin as you make it yours. Tina, take care on your trek north. This "stuff" doesn't seem to be over yet! Barbie, hope you start feeling better soon. Melissa, glad you are up and around. Not driving for a month will be tough!

Well, it's either have another cup of coffee or bundle up and get the the chore outside! Notice the snow is flying again so maybe another cup of coffee and wait it out for awhile! Will spring ever come!? Stupid groundhog! I know where he lives, maybe I should go have a talk with him! :D Have a good, safe day, everyone.

Good Morning from Normal sun is shining and no more snow over night!! Temps are moderating to mid 20s...
My SIL John came over yesterday afternoon and shoveled me out and cleaned my car off... I am so thankful for him doing that!
Got my new tracfone but have not activated it as I am not sure about how to use it and also do not know how much penalty I will pay with my other service... my son called Sat and said it was a better choice for me and a lot less expensive...
I am in program with drawl the season finally of Downton Abby was last night... I can sure get lost in that one!
No word yet from Kathy waiting to see if she has the new baby home and if it is still running... more power to you Kathy... I am not a decorator or fixer upper any more...
Must go to the store today as I need many things...
Have a great day everyone...
Kathleen or Kathy

Rain/wind/thunderstorms due to come in here to Chiricahua today. Then, if all goes well, they'll clear out overnight and it'll be sunny tomorrow.

I've been trying recipes - tried the strawberry ice cream Sheila found for me and like it (see recipe page), it's simple to make and no ice cream maker required. I'd probably call it more of a sorbet or sherbet from the texture, though. I also made the no sugar, no pectin strawberry jam that's been going around FB as a strawberry/rhubarb jam - again a healthy version, with no sugar (and again, I posted to the recipe page). I made it without the rhubarb, and it's a big, big hit with me. Again, simple to make and I might have to see if I can try some other flavors. My problem is I limit my bread intake and it's just so good on bread lol ...

Today I'll make something warm, I believe - maybe the mini pizzas or a soup ... time will tell. My fridge is full to overflowing, so I have to keep eating. I know whatever I make, I'll be also having asparagus - it was on sale and I have wayyyyyyyyyy too much of it ...

Good morning everyone! It rained last night but should be drier and maybe a little sunny here today. Temps low 50s. Those of you in nasty weather places - hang on spring is coming!

Kathy congratulation on your new rig. I hope it carries you many happy miles.

Beth - there is no such thing as too much asparagus.

Have a good day everyone!

good morning
congrats Kath on the new rig
Carolb isn't awol, she's right here warming her feet :D
had to get my new phone yesterday, tried replacing my battery a few days ago but it still did the same thing. Here is what verizon told me.....even though I could do internet sharing on my phone, it was designed just to get on quick and do what you needed to do. I was on it every night for hours and on the weekends I left it on most of the time. So, they say my phone would get hot and I pretty much ruined it.
SO.......got a new phone and for the 99cents got the mifi for the computer and they tossed in a free mophie powerpack. It only raised my
bill another $2. Now I'm just trying to figure out the new phone and get stuff the way I want it. I do like the tap to send feature as I've been transferring all my photos, a dozen at a time to the new phone using the tap to send.
Lots of rain and cold today, makes me wish I had knee socks so the cold air doesn't crawl up under my pant leg.
Anyway, ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Aw Ladies it seems congrats are premature, I backed out of the deal this afternoon. My gut instinct was just making me crazy that I was making a mistake. Would be nice if he refunds my deposit but if not oh well.

A late good morning. Sun is out now but had a shower earlier. We got rain yesterday! 0.75 inches! Hooray.
Spent the day with the great and other grands. Much fun.
Kathy, your rig sounds like you will have lots of fun with it!
They took down the two Hugh cranes from the Sempra building they are building across the street from my condo. There is still some scaffolding on the outside of the building, right at the top. I found out those will be luxury boxes for the executives to watch base ball games.
I've completed my income taxes and am not happy about sharing my income with those who haven't taken care of themselves nor saved.
Other than that, I'm a happy camper.
Lyn
Ps...just saw your note Kathy......sorry.

Aw, Kathy, but, yes, you have to go with your gut ... and if it wasn't the right one for your gut, not the right one for you - but I must admit my gut never wants me to spend money!

Waiting for our snowstorm to start in a couple hours here. Only 3 or 4 inches tho, so just enough to make a mess of the roads.

I went home from work early yesterday. Tried again today but got sent home after an hour or so. I just keep having coughing fits and it wipes out my energy. Even doing one haircut gets me exhausted. So I was "on call" the rest of the day but never got called. My manager is really great about stuff like this! My coworkers are always willing (as am I) to fill in for anyone who is sick or otherwise can't come in to work.

Spent the afternoon sleeping. My appetite has come back and I have been eating all evening. Will go to bed early and try again tomorrow. The coughing is my biggest issue. Lots of crud to cough up but hard to do. I do fine at night with my humidifier on, and sleep great with very little, if any, meds. But once I am up and moving around, or talking, or eating, the congestion and coughing starts in again.

Sorry, Kathy, about the RV, but a better one will come along and you will "know" it is right.

I have had Tracfones for years and I like that they don't have all the bells and whistles like the smart phones do. I do the Value Plan that just sends you more minutes every month. Very simple.

Have a good night... :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
