Oh it's Friday Alrighty...Morning :)...Here we are that special day..the beginning of the WEEKEND...and they call it "Friday"..ok, here it comes. "Why do they call it Friday" ? cause all the Men would go fishing and the poor women would "Fry all the Fish they caught "...hence Fried Day >>>ok..I know it's strange ..but then so am I... I mean I have this deranged sense of humor...almost like demented..but some days I'm better...but hey, if it made you chuckle or smile..I then accomplished what I set out to do !!!

Watched two shows at the same time last night...that was a winner..click, click in between commercials..cause I wanted to see who got picked in American Idol to be the final 12..but I was happy to see them go the Magical 13...and then Survivor...well hated to see poor Sandy get tossed off..but can't say I got to see too much of anything...but boy those kids can sing...so next week we'll be back to the norm ..(hopefully)..Even made a crumb cake in between commercials too...hahahaha..aromas was a gooder..

Ok, let's see what's happening in our Forum world....ta daaaaaaaaa!!!!!!

Avalen (Ava) has the best of the best news..and we are all happy for her...but we will keep ya in our prayers...Great going Ava...have to do a catch up with ya in chat...miss our chats..

Echo is enjoying her family visit ..but also keeping up with the chill in the air...brrrrrrrrrr Echo...stay warm !!!

Fernie is on her way towards Texas...Gosh Fernie we are keeping our fingers crossed for you too...Please keep us posted ..

Redetotry..(BJ) ooops that's a bit a of tough one.. I mean a pain in the derrière can be uncomfy, but happy to hear you are on the mend..

MollysMom (Trudy) has been busy with her family.. Great pictures Trudy..your sister and her children really had a great time...and wow that ocean ...oh it looks a little rough there...but again, great shots...Glad you had a good time too..we missed ya !

LIzzie...sure hoping your room got finished so you can unwind...I know it gets hectic when you want things finished and they work at their speed REVERSE..Hey..let's try and get to gether before you wander off...

Ok now all don't forget to change your Clocks on Sunday night..cause you know why...It's Day Light Savings Time...(SUCKS)

Nasoosie..(Soos) see I told ya I dislike it just as much ...cause I lose my hour and at the rate I'm going..I need every hour I can get...

Speaking of which ..it's that time for me.. Head into the Kitchen, shake lose some dishes and put that dang coffee pot on and let her perk... Fill that kettle with good clear water (Filtered)..and turn on the gas..(stove) and let the room fill up with each and everyone of ya...Lots of Crumb Cake and it's fresh too..

May your Adventures be Great Ones and your Journey be Safe too...

God Bless

Zeee...Move over critters Momma is sliding in to home base..

See ya all Monday...have a gooder and take pictures and tell all....

Gee Barbzeee--didn't think you would be up this time of the morning. I grabbed some hot chocolate and some left-over Christmas cookies that were in the freezer when I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep. I got my car tuned up and ready to go--planned on leaving tomorrow----and I got a call from my brother telling me my Sis bought a car and they will pick it up Saturday or Monday one or the other. That means I don't have to drive. I made plane reservations. It isn't a cheap ticket but when you figure gas, motel, food on the road and the fact I won't have a car in Texas when I have to fly to Az. to help Bash load up and drive back to Tn. the end of April, it is worth it. I fly out Saturday morning. It is a direct flight so I hope American doesn't screw it up this time. I already warned a friend in Oregon they could fly my through there this trip since I was suppossed to fly through Dallas last trip and they flew me through Chicago!! HA HA.

WOW----TWO early-birds this morning!! How nice to have company at this ungodly hour!

Fernie, your plans to fly sound WAY better than the long road trip that was facing you----great news! Have a safe flight and a good visit with family, especially your sister, and may she agree to do what's best for her and the rest of you. (And I sure hope they don't route you through OR!!)

Barb, I LOVE your thinking about Fryday! And, to celebrate, I will have fried fish for my dinner tonight!

I now need to go see what good news Ava has, as I haven't read it yet. I love good news to begin my day! It's 34 deg. F. here this morning, so Barb's picture of water dripping off the iris is not too far off for this neck of the woods!

Happy Friday to you all, and I can't wait to read about the TX group of women raising a ruckus again this weekend.....take lots of pics!!

Happy travels!

Good morning,...

for some reason i'm up unusually early. guess it's anticipation for our 4 p.m. girl's varsity game for sectional title. They are playing a school noted for poor sportsmanship and rough play on the floor. Hope the refs are good and have eyes in the back of their heads!

Weather will be mild here this weekend,... high 40s. and DST starts,... I am on the other side, i love that. I don't need daylight at 4-5 a.m. but enjoy it in the evening when i'm home from work.

Well, I'll go read the messages now,..... hope you all have a great day!

Glad your girls won Cedar. My Lady Vols won their first game in post season last night. They are playing in Little Rock.

Morning! I have to give my quick input on "Friday"....I think it received it's name because you are basically "fried" come the last day of the work week. Cedar...good luck to your team...you have be suffering from a severe case of bleacher butt! Our girls just qualified for the state tournament. They have been ranked number 2 in their class all season. Hope they can pull off a championship. Have a good day everyone.

Gooooood Morning Sistahs!!!

Well only managed to get one visit in yesterday. After posing I laid back down to catch a little more sleep. Well I caught it alright! Slept till about 11:20am. :x Gads that ticked me off I sure didn't want to sleep like that. Today we will go see both of my brothers. Kelly has been spending evenings over with her sister and stepmom. She's been getting back here 3am and later. Needless to say she is not interested in getting up after only a few hours asleep. LOL I'm not all that interested in being up all that early but got up at 6am for a potty run and stayed up yakking with Laura just like yesterday. But today I AM NOT going back to bed.

Gonna enjoy the next 2 or 3 days. Weather is suppose to behave it's self and be in the 50's. That's gonna feel like a heat wave!!! I am so ready for Spring. I wish after they spring forward in time this Saturday night that they would leave the freaking time alone. They could do completely away with the so called daylight savings. I hate losing that extra hour of light in the evening. For the next 5 weeks we wont be able to really enjoy the extra daylight. But after April 10??? WoooHooo We're counting them days.

Fernie you be careful buzzing back and forth now!! We have a hard enough time trying to keep up with you as it is. Hope all works out with your sister.

Hmmmm Kinda of two minds about that Elvis thing out there in TX. There is safety in numbers ya know. But that can also be fraught with unknown stuff too. I'm kinda leaning towards the unknown stuff really. But I'm more worried about Elvis to tell ya'll the truth! That poor man is not gonna know what hit him!!! LOLOLOLOL :o

And of course I'm doing a jig for Ava just in case she didn't do one for that super awesome good news she got!

Cedar! I'll keep my fingers crossed for your girls tonight! I did see your post about visiting the far north but we aren't coming that far for sure. It's about 3hrs from here just to Albany. So will have to take a rain check on the mini gtg.

Ok I guess it's that time. I need to take a shower before we head out the door on our visits. And then after my shower? I have to grab tight hold on my bravery and get Kelly up. Oooooooo that's gonna be scary.

Ya'll have a great day, stay safe and stay warm too. Don't let any nice weather fool ya into thinking it's Spring already.

Love to all

Good morning! Beautiful picture this morning, Barbz....love the ripples in the reflection.

My room is finished, but I'm not celebrating yet. Handyman called for final inspection and they told him they'd do it today...Then later I read in the paper that their office is closed today because they're moving it to another location and that inspections would be impacted. Sooo I'm stuck here in case they come, but so far no show. And I can't put the furniture back in there until after they inspect it....probably Monday, but I'm not holding my breath. My brother & SIL are coming this weekend and I was hoping to have everything put back together.

Since you've mentioned it, I think I'll have fish tonight too, maybe salmon, but not fried 'cause I'm avoiding the fats right now.

Hope everyone has a great day. Going to read up on the doings; I'm a little behind, no pun intended.

Echo, you have it backwards - daylight savings will give you an extra hour of light in the evening - you'll lose it in the morning. Me? I wish we'd stay on daylight savings all year. I love the extra light in the evening - even if it means I lose it in the morning. It's still dark when I go to work now, so will just stay that way :)

I like all the different ideas about the name Friday (fryday, fried day lolol).

Zeee, I hope everyone changes their clocks Sat night/Sun morning - if they wait till Sun night, they'll be off all day. If they don't work, that might not matter. Me - I need to try to get in gear Sunday morning - and not sleep in too late, as it's gonna be a bugaboo getting up for me Monday morning. Hopefully the trip to Port L will get me used to it next week - and then I'll definitely like the extra evening hours - always like that when boondocking. Less I have to use my generator and batteries, the happier I am.

Speaking of my generator, someone is here right now to see if they can fix the connection between the generator and it's muffler. I thought the muffler was bad, but nope, there's separation there - so he's seeing if he can "bang" it into shape. Have my fingers crossed. Generator works, but is LOUD. And this generator is always loud, this makes it even louder.

I got 3 of my 4 clothes compartments cleaned out yesterday - gave a bag of stuff to the Ronald McDonald charities today - reorganized. Got to finish the rest today. Started this morning on my under sofa compartment - about 3/4's done there. Also this morning finally was able to get all my tax stuff printed up for my accountant - will take a ride to the post office in a bit and get that out. So glad to have that ready for him. Got other mail ready to go.

Bought a new charcoal filter to put in my fridge, and a new flush king to put on my sewer connection - so lots to do yet today! Want to get it done so I don't have to "look forward to it" still tomorrow :) Tomorrow there is a lawn/garage sale here. Since I've sold most of what I would have put out there - I won't need to be doing that. Actually, I gave most that I was going to sell away - gave my old 13" tv to one of the guys here who has been really good and helpful to me - am also giving him the umbrella and stand I bought for here. I gave my toaster oven to Sheryl - lady friend here. She's had me over for dinner more than once and just been a good friend to me. If I come up with anything worth putting out - I'll take it to her site and put it with her things.

Well, the guy working on my generator/muffler couldn't pound it out. Just told me he's going to a discount auto parts store tonight to try to get a piece he thinks he can put between the two that aren't meeting properly - will be back Monday to attempt that. Asked him to go ahead and change the oil/filter on the generator while he's at it. (Have always done that myself). Keeping fingers crossed that his 2nd attempt to fix this works.

Okies, going to get my mail together and go see whose car I can borrow to run to the post office.

Have a great day all.

Well whatever they want to call it? I like having that extra hour of light in the evening.

Once they turn the clocks forward in the spring I wish they would leave it the he77 alone!!!!! ;)
