Totally understand though, and so appreciate when you do catch us up on your doings and those grandbabies. Just as long as you're well and life is good, you're forgiven, just drop in when you can ok.

Good afternoon! We came back to Fairbanks this morning. We left Monday in sunshine, hit rain on the Chena Hot Springs road - moose were scarce. Headed to Manley Hot Springs, which is at the end of a gravel road. Still on pavement, we pulled over for the night and there we sat yesterday with rain and poor visibility. It hadn't changed this morning. The fog lessened as I neared Fairbanks, but streams are overflowing. There are flood watches/warnings. Good not to have a schedule, but I want to do boat rides in several places but not in the rain!!

Time to catch up on here again!

Did lots of things today for fun!

Went out for breakfast, then went to a "pitch and putt" mini golf course at the local prison  Then went to my dad's and took out my kayak on her maiden voyage. I can't say I am really thrilled with it. It is small, very unstable and the water dripping from the paddles ran onto the kayak and right under my butt. It tracked OK, but I was feeling like it was going to tip over any second. I have never felt that unstable in other kayaks. I may decide to sell it and maybe get a bigger, more stable kayak later on. This one is just an 8 ft sit-on kayak. I don't think it would be good on a bigger bay like the one I currently live on.

Took my dad to get some tomato plants for his garden. Then I drove out to the MN Landscape Arboretum and walked around the gardens and waterfalls taking lots of photos. They also have a butterfly exhibit this year but there weren't very many in there(mostly monarchs) but got some pics anyways. (There is a nicer one at the MN State Fair each year and that one has a million butterflies of all kinds flitting around!) They also have a "Nature In Glass" exhibit and have many really awesome glass sculptures scattered all around the gardens. Really pretty! Will post some pics of those later.

Now I am very tired. I have a splitting headache since I was grinding my teeth really bad all day. I think I get really stressed when I am around my dad and it is hard to let that go after leaving him. Will be getting to bed soon here and can sleep in tomorrow morning.

The weather here was awesome! Mid 70's, sunny and light breeze! (what I call San Diego weather! :D )

Hope you all had a good day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
