Finally Friday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Finally Friday

Happy Friday, hopefully the weekend brings in some fun for everyone!

Anita, that is one hell of a story, so glad angels stepped in and took over. Now your cousin can live out the rest of her life in dignity.

Donna, maybe we should call you the Garage Sale Queen ? I know some people get into them so much they buy stuff to sell at their sale.

Barbara, camp however you can, just getaway, that's my thought now. I grew up camping in a tent, and if the first reason for a camper was evacuating, I would have gone down the tent route.

Do we have any tequila drinkers in the house? We have a new tequila coming in, its cinnamon flavor. Actually taste better than I thought, but when I want tequila, I don't want flavors, I just the real thing over ice.

Okay, gotta get, can not be running late today.

Be Safe and keep camping :D

Morning Bonnie and all,

Finally, a nice sunny morning here in northern MI. Not that the weather has been wet or anything, just clouds hanging around more than they were predicted to do. So will enjoy the sunshine and upper 70 degree weather today. Heading north (where else  ) with friend Brenda and son this morning. We are going up to Sault Ste. Marie to the Sault locks today. Been a long time since we have been up there. After today, I am going to put a halt to running around. It's been fun, but after two weeks of being on the go, I have other things needing done here and my best friends from downstate sent email yesterday, that they want to come up middle of next week. So...... Plus humid, wet weather coming on by Sunday too. So want to get some outside stuff done tomorrow.

Awning fix is all taken care of. They took the lower arm part off and put a new bracket on the TT and then reattached the arm, put a bolt and nut through the arm part to keep it all in place, so now that's fixed and awning back in business. It was either they do that or order new awning arm which come in pairs to the tune of $323 bucks  The fix only cost $35 :D Also found out that I had a cracked tire stem so had that fixed on way home in town here. All set for the road again now. :P So one happy camper here.

Anita, that was quite some story about your cousin. Glad the family stepped in. I'm sure she is feeling much better now. I hear of that happening so much to older people these days. It's a shame the way this country treats their elderly sometimes.

Sarah, thinking of new wheels are you. Good luck on the decision.

CArol, such an exciting life you are leading down there in FL

Gotta make some decision regarding S&B pretty soon here. Been wanting to sell as you all know, but been holding off due to not sure where to go. Neighbor couple of doors over has put house up for sale. Been eyeing that place for a few years. On the little lagoon coming in off the lake over here, nothing big, but smaller house (2 bed, 2 bath), small yard and two garages. In good shape as they took care of things and didn't use it that much as it's a second home. Am debating about buying it, but have to sell this place first. If it sells before mine does, then..... Course have the option of up north condo as well. Decision, decisions. Same agent has theirs listed as would do mine, so need to find out from here how we can handle this.

Time to be off and get cleaned up so I can get ready to hit he road again. This time I get to ride and not drive. Now that will be so nice :) Y'all have a great day. Those in the mid west, keep a weather eye out.

Good morning Bonnie, Sue & everyone!

Bonnie, not a tequila drinker here.

Sue, so glad you had an easy and inexpensive fix for your awning. Maybe you can sell your place and buy your neighbors place!

Anita, so glad your cousin got the help she needed. Wow, what a story!

Carolb arrived here yesterday afternoon and is parked in our backyard. We talked nonstop until bedtime. It's so nice seeing her again. The weather is going to be really nice here through the weekend, so it'll be fun sitting outside or sightseeing.

Good morning !! Looks like another beautiful day, I too, am glad it's Friday. I've had several nights where I haven't slept well, this happens from time to time, but last night was a good nights rest, so today will be a good one.

Last night I also learned how to get my grands not to be playing after lights out. Just remind them NO swimming next day, it worked last night, so quiet I hoped they were ok  a sign also that they know when I say something I mean it. :o :D My DD has been feeling so bad for awhile with allergies and so tired last night, we all needed to get to bed :D so Gran'ma threatened. Won't do this often, just pull out when needed  Actually they have been very good kids, which is good because this job of babysitting their age is so foreign to me  And surprisingly I've thoroughly enjoyed it !!!

That kind of excitement that having no water with two children is the kind I can certainly do without, so hoping nothing else pops up to make me so ecstatic any time soon, Sue roll:

Wishing you all a great week end. Think we will be celebrating a bit here, my DD got another promotion with more of a raise here then she expected, she really is a hard worker, two years ago she started at the bottom and now she is top person in her region. Due to an unfortunate situation for her boss that hired her, cancer came back on her and time she knew it , was too late. DD just pitched in and did some of her reports etc and sent them into home office, as boss worked up to almost time she passed away, and DD liked her Sooo much !!! Her cancer was kidney, same as my last bout with cancer was and this really touched a cord in DD's thoughts too. She was chosen to be temporary person when they found who had been helping last boss and in 3 months time was Boss all within 6 months of getting her job. She has a larger region and more then a dozen lawyers under her to assign cases to etc and of course has a number of cases herself. She works for the state, and benefits are what she needed when she first applied. She had her own office but when her personal life made such a change she needed more definite benefits. She just bought a home for her and children with a pool and was just forced to replace her vehicle too. Used but very nice. Yesterday when she told me what the raise was, she said now I know I can pay for the car

Hey guys thanks for letting me brag, I'm just really proud of how she has stepped up and doing so well for her and her children in spite of everything. Her Faith has played such a big part of her choices past two years too.

Now, I really do wish you all a Great week end ahead. Whew this is a lot of one finger pecking on IPad, I need to rest  Maggie is wondering where her breakfast is and I need another coffee.

Those traveling and camping have a Safe and fun time !!

CArol :)

Good Morning.

WOW CArol, that is so awesome about your DD. Faith can take us a long ways. Some of you have such amaising stories, very inspiring.

I'll be heading to campground this afternoon. All I need to do now is get everything out of house frig, and into camper frig. ID've got to remember to take a sewing kit with me. I'll be hemming curtains that are too long. The shortest I've found are 54" and I'll take off about 6-8 inches. Son will meet me there and launch one of his boats (pontoon or ski??). I'll take some pictures and hopefully get them on here somewhere somehow. I am VERY tech challenged!! Thank goodness for grandkids.

I'm off now to start the dryer, and eat a bite of breakfast.

Been busy with two families of grandkids for the last few days, but this morning I am taking a few hours off while they sightsee. They are all coming back to my motorhome and son's trailer for lunch, and then we go off to ride the cog railway to top of Pike's Peak. Dinner will be pizza tonight from take-out. Whew! A few hours feels like a vacation. Love'em, but boy do they wear me out.

The Ohio kids leave on Sunday morning, so I will have two slightly quieter days with the California family. Then I stay here at Cheyenne Mt State Park for another three days. Will be getting some RV maintenance done. This is a very nice, full-hookup state park with beautiful views over Colorado Springs. Nice Laundromat so will get all laundry done before I leave. WIll have lots of sheets, towels, and rugs to get little kid dirt and sand out of!

Oh, and guess what was working last night??? My water pump!!! Maybe it IS the elevation. Anyway, going to get dealer to check it on Wednesday.

Need to catch up and see what everyone is doing on the forum, so have some reading to do.
