Sunny Thursday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Martha, I forgot about Rabbits until this morning  . Sorry!

I dropped Chelsea off with her new ferret sitters. I call it "Camp Wiley" (their last name). I hope she forgives me for sending her off for 3-4 weeks like that, but I need to have her and her stuff out of here when they show this place, so I don't get caught and fined ($1000). "Camp Wiley" has experience with ferrets from ones they have owned in the past so I know she will be well cared for. But I miss her already! :(

My dad's doctor appointment got cancelled at the last minute so we just went out to eat instead. Went down to check out his dock and the lake is way up over his retaining wall and right up to the bottom edge of the docks, so it is good and high. I think it has come up a foot from last weeks rain. Luckily, the wind and rain has quit now. Just cloudy and chilly.

Now I need to get back to cleaning and laundry
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Carol, so glad you'll have arrived home today. I hope it's not to any problems there.

Barbie, it's nice to know you'll be in your new place in a few weeks. Do I remember wrong about the notice you have to leave on where you are now? I thought you said you had to give 2 months notice? I'm sure it's my memory lol

Today was my first day of work at my summer job. I drove here yesterday winds be danged, as I had told them I'd start today. If I'd really felt unsafe, or it had been a longer drive, I would have held off. Meantime I like the manager and asst ( her daughter). Today we opened the store for the season, so it was pretty slow, but we had more customers than I expected. My till was off a penny. Expect it to be pretty slow all this month. Then we'll go crazy. Meantime we're on limited hours, so I'm working 9-5. I'll switch to the closing shift ( to 10 pm) when we get going strong. That's the shift I asked for. There should have been another lady with us today, but she was a no show. I don't miss the days of that when I was the boss.

Off to fix dinner now.

Here is a photo of the pelicans that showed up today.

And here is a photo I took of the crack in my bedroom wall that appeared a few months ago (goes from floor to ceiling

And here is a tree trunk outside of my deck. See the face? Reminds me of the Grinch!

You are right. I did give 60 day notice but am moving in by June 1st. I will see if they can rent this place for June 1st instead of July so I don't have to pay for the extra month, otherwise I will just deduct my security deposit from the June rent here. (This place will be spotless when I leave so they shouldn't need any of it for cleaning or damage).
