Mid Week and Wet

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Mid Week and Wet

Postby bluepinecones » Wed Mar 05, 2014 8:39 am

Good Morning
Update on niece: She is having blood transfusion today and resume chemo end of week. Doctors didn't think she was strong enough yet, thus the transfusion mainly to get white blood cell count up I think. Oncologist did not think safe to delay chemo any longer so all agreed to this approach.

Rain forecast for later today. Unfortunately heavier rain/strong thunderstorms with potential for damaging straight line winds forecast for Thursday. That is the day I am supposed to move north as far as Rainbow Springs State Park. Am trying to decide what to do about that: stay put until Friday and forfeit the fee already paid or call the Rainbow and see if I can get in before the bad stuff gets here. Am going to be on Interstate most of the way and but really don't like driving Magic in bad weather, especially wind/heavy rain.

In spite of the forecast, past three days have been perfect weather. Did a cookout Sunday afternoon with several of the RV ladies. Nicky and I got a long walk in Monday but too humid yesterday so only short ones..

Have a good day

I watched the national news this morning and thought of all you guys in FL. It does sound as if you are going to get a couple of inches of water and some wind. The morning here is warmer than the last two. I am ready to head out. Yesterday I didn't attempt the drive until I knew I had an electric, pull through site waiting for me. These hands don't unhook well in freezing temperatures. This morning I am ready to just get out there and see how many miles I can knock out...... :) Get ready Ohio...we will get there eventually!

Good Morning !! wrote a post yesterday, not much of one so did not do over when it didn't post here. Not much happening here, have eye dr app this afternoon, hopefully find something out about my eye. As for the rest of my head and face, seems to be broken out more and more sensitive. May have to go back to medical dr. I am so sick of drs and all of these visits. I don't do drs only once a year if I can get by with it, I have the rest of my life and more covered with visits past couple of months

Donna, I have kept up with your blog, enjoyed it so much. I have to keep telling myself, not to be upset because I didn't make the fun though :D Sure is nice to at least keep up with what all you gals did, I'm so nosey you know :D

Tina, so nice that you have warned Ohio that you are on the way !!! The other day I noticed you gave them plenty of notice to have roads and your drive cleared before you get there. ;) I thought that was nice of you. You have had a fabulous trip, safe travels for the rest of the way home. Please keep us posted as to your days if possible, until your safely back in your driveway. Weather is so unpredictable, and a lot of us are concerned for you heading north. Take care

Today is really overcast out there, rain may come in this afternoon, I am hoping not until we're back home, but it'll come when it wants, Right ????
Have a nice day, above all, Stay Safe !!!
CArol :)
Carol and Bill, prayers for you all that health issues will clear up soon and when weather permits you can make your journey on north also..

I woke up this morning after a nightmare where I was at my old employer and they were upset I was in bed and not working. Then discovered I had still not cleaned out my desk or even my old house!!! Took a few minutes to convince myself after I opened my eyes that I was really retired and had already cleaned out everything.

Had a slight sore throat this morning and took a zinc lozenge, which of course made my breakfast taste horrible. Very nice, but slightly cool day here in southern Arizona. Relaxing here for a few more days before moving slowly on towards Michigan and Ohio. I will not get there until late April, so I hope the bad weather is gone, or at least the snow and ice part, by then.

Going to take it easy this afternoon. I am headed to Tombstone tomorrow to see the town and also hopefully, pick something up for my son's birthday. I am hoping they will have some hot sauces and barbecue sauces or something else southwestern I can send him. He has everything, so I try to send him food and goodies he would not buy for himself--maybe even beef jerky. Guess I could make the jerky for him myself, but it does take a ton of time drying it.

My goodness, Judy, that would be a nightmare! I was up early today also. Good thing, I was reading the paper and having my first cup of coffee when I got a text from DIL wanting to meet her in town for breakfast. She was on her way to Pittsburgh to have the plate removed from their dog's leg. I managed to get the kids, their stuff and the dog back to them Sun but forgot to grab his harness and food. And since the dog almost outweighs her she really needed it. So had to rush around to get out the door but we had a nice breakfast together so all was good. I may be heading that direction again tomorrow since my eldest BIL is in the hospital again. He went to rehab last week, fell and ended up in the hospital again. They can't get a handle on the low blood sugar and blood pressure etc etc. Years of not taking it seriously is catching up to him, I think. Love him but would like to smack him too. Anyway, crazy times here. I do just want to run away for awhile.

Please be safe if you are traveling today and if you're some place warm, enjoy!

Sarah, I sure hope the blood transfusion does some good for your niece and they can continue the chemo.
