Good Morning... The rain never stops in ?sunny? Florida... but it is mild and humid...
I had the most wonderful surprise yesterday... my grand niece and her husband and two children stopped for a couple of hours and visited... Shadow loved the children Emily 3 and Dillon 19 months... so cute... It was such a great day to have visitors... we sat outside and talked and talked... Brian walked the kids to get rid of some of their energy... They stayed in Tampa last night and today they are headed for Ft Meyer Beach for a vacation in the sun! I am still smiling...
Today I will go to Wal Mart... Molly will take me... when I get there I seem to spend more than my share of $$ but need to replenish things...
I hope you are all having a good day

Good Morning Everyone !! I'm back at my sister's, after spending past 4 days in Wekiwa Springs St Pk. There are some changes but still basically the same. Didn't seem to busy, but then I have found that to be true of the State Parks I have been in this year. Maggie and I, enjoyed ourselves out there, we took several walks each day, she loves that, they just aren't as long as we used to take, neither one of us are really up to it. I keep trying to make them a wee longer each time, but I know I can't carry her with my back as it is, so not making much head way in stretching our walks out. Guess we're both going to pot

Looks like rain here today. They've threatened rain each day it seems and most we have had is a few sprinkles that didn't even wet the ground. Think rain is needed too, pass some on to us Donna  I know you would like too.

Well this Wed. is my eye dr. appointment, so will know after that what I might plan. I have not made reservations for Hillsbourough, but am hoping to go for a couple of days at least. Counting on a walk in sight as I have done at last 3 parks. I'm anxious about the dr. visit as so much depends on the results of it.

No real news from here, breakfast is even over and gone, sorry

Hope you all have a good day, doing something fun or interesting. Top of the list is to stay safe,

CArol :)

Good morning everyone.

Lots going on here - tough to keep up with it all.
Love the posts from everyone traveling :D Guess the search for Pedro continues. ;)
Sarah, keeping you & your nieces in my prayers.
Donna, glad you've got a computer again - I love your blog.
Ava, hang in there - your retirement will come - but getting to your own place sooner rather than later will be good. I miss my kids but have an easier time controlling my spending when they aren't so close by.
CArol, small increments gradually will stretch out your walking time - be easy on yourself - slow & steady wins the race (i'm told)
Glad to see Carolb & Anita traveling together... hope we hve enough bail money to stretch from Baja to FL
And then the new folks & upcoming FL GTG - this is one happening place!!!!

We're getting out of the deep freeze here in KS for a bit. Friend called this morning & said the streets are treacherous today - (rain yesterday + cold last night = black ice everywhere) Glad its the weekend & most people can stay in until the temps go up a little more.

I pulled the plug on cable this past week. Dropped it! Switched to a lower cost Internet provider & Nettalk for house phone (not sure I really need to keep it, but will for the first year). Antennas pull in local TV channels ok - so I'm set. Trying to cut back so I can retire one of these days!!!! :D :D :D

New CEO?President at org I work at turned out to be just the right person for the job. He's shaking things up a little but in a good way. I'm confident he will hold true to the founders dreams, utilize the talented people we have on staff appropriately & overall enable us to serve so many more people. I decided to stay in my position for now to help in the transition. I'll fill him in on my future plans once he has his feet on the ground. :o

Well, I'd better get going - decluttering my room is the order of the day & then work on annual staff assessments.

Hope everyone stays safe, warm & dry.

Still cloudy but the rain has stopped. It is 42 but the kind of cold that I find worse than the lower temps as it is humid. Maybe this is how Florida cold feels. brrrr

CArol I hope your appointment goes well and you can make some plans. Hanging in limbo is not easy. ((( Hugs)))

We finally have some sun and it's 67. Yesterday it was gray and misty all day. Last night I heard it rain several times. The front that came through is already on the East coast causing trouble.

The Dutch Oven Cookout is today at the state park but I decided we didn't need to be spending a couple of hours with a bunch of people. Louisiana is one of the states with a high flu outbreak. I take a flu shot but my DH refuses to take one. He says he wants the flu to kill him. He upsets the kids when he says things like that but I've had 39 years of his crazy ideas. He will go to the doctor before I will.

Donna, glad the people at the campground found their lost kitty. I'm afraid to take one of the cats camping because they can get away so fast. Our cats won't come to anyone but us. If a stranger comes they disappear, even the barn cats. One of the barn cats hasn't shown up for supper the last 3 days. We haven't had one go missing in a long time.

Wonder if Carolb and Anita made it through Texas yet. That state seems to go on forever when you are trying to get across it. I would sure have liked to follow them to Q. I want to see that one year.

good morning ladies
have been up for a long time, busy going through papers and have a stack ready for the shredder. Went through a drawer of computer stuff and have that packed away. Laundry is almost done for today and just maybe I'll go through my tools and get them collected up since some of them are in sons things. I do need to stay focused right now cause my anger (thats a whole nother story) gets to me and its very easy to purge and toss things when I'm angry.
Will catch up on a few posts and then get back to work. Ya'll have a great day and be safe, hoping everyone is staying warm.

Been up for quite a while. Still in Anaheim, but son and his family and his mother-in-law left this morning early. She stayed with me and the rest stayed with my son in his trailer. Got a ton of laundry to do, but so nice not to have to pack up as they have, drive 400 miles home, and unpack everything. Full-timing sure is a lot easier than "vacationing"!!

Also, did some dusting with a damp cloth to remove dust from walls and vacuumed my fuzzy ceiling which also hold dust. I am allergic and am supposed to keep dust down, but these vehicles are constantly getting dusty. It is a lot of work, but I really think it helps, plus my new HEPA filter vacuum helps, too.

Today I finish my laundry, rest up, and get some work done since new semester has started and I have a double class to teach--more money but more work! Then tomorrow I am off to the ocean and a beach-side state park. Yea! Going to visit with an old friend from work, so looking forward to that.

Supposed to be 74 today and it is already warm and sunny. (Sorry, folks stuck in snow and ice.)

Mid-afternoon here in Baja. We've arrived in La Paz. The other 3 have gone exploring the city - I might do a little of that tomorrow - but might not - I have been before and while it has a beautiful malecon - I'm more looking forward to going to the beach (where we'll head tomorrow). I'll stop off at WalMart first - have a few things I want to see if I can find.
