It got down to about 34 last night but suppose to warm up to 65 today. It's suppose to be in the 70's on the weekend but rain again. I was running around yesterday without a jacket most of the time. I hate to go in a store wearing a jacket and have to carry it around because it's too warm in the store. Winn Dixie must be trying to save money because it was cold in that store.

I don't get too excited about Christmas either. Shopping is a pain. I only have about 4 gifts to find and I will probably wait until the after Christmas sales because I won't see those people until after new years. I did dig my sorry excuse of a Christmas tree out of the closet but didn't put it up. I finally found the tile for the living room and someone is coming to measure tomorrow. I doubt they will want to do it before Christmas but I don't want to put the tree up if I have to move it. Lovely time of year to get started with that mess. I don't know what they will do with the furniture in the living room. We don't have much room to move it too. We have a big 3 piece entertainment center. I'm going to have to unhook the TV and unload the cabinets. Do I really want to change the floor?

Stinky has to go to the vet after lunch for her annual check up. Need to find a carrier and the pad to put in it. I bought some of the hospital bed pads to put in a carrier when I have to bring a cat to the vet. Much better than newspaper. Stinky always gets car sick and throws up. Some of the others get nervous and use the bathroom.

I have been looking for my Christmas CD's for 2 days. It seems like I spend a lot of time looking for things. I bet if I buy some more they will turn up.

Peaches and I are sitting at the Ford dealer. Two hours minimum I was told to figure. This chair is almost comfortable enough for me to nap in if Peaches will be good.

Hey!! You got to Sharon's...that's great!!! I'll be up tomorrow, Wednesday, or Thursday for sure. I'm bringing a big pot of chili for everyone. I also made spinach/artichoke dip, but it tasted awful so threw it away. I'm not a cook. lyn

Good morning all! BJ and everyone else, I guess Christmas losess its excitement as we get older and go through life's changes. Since I had planned to be gone until just a few days before, I wasnt going to put up a tree anyway. First year I havent since I lost my husband but every year it was a little sad doing it just for me. About the FB thing, its just easy to go on FB every morning to check on all my groups of friends and its a nice informal "good morning" chat. I always read here too. But to tell the truth I am feeling less and less a part of the RV group. I read trying to get enthused from all you ladies wonderful adventures, but that kind of travel is just not for me. I don't enjoy the driving, and also when I get somewhere I can't go anywhere. I may try taking the camper to the beach for a month or so this summer, and coming back to get the car. I am always kicking around the idea of selling it, but Im "upside down!". You ladies are all great, wish I could be like you!!! Wendy

Mitch - enjoy your blog. Say Hi to Sharon from another Californian (central coast). Having beautiful weather here also. Will she be going to Quartzsite again this year and will you Baja girls be there in January too? Have a great time at Sharon's and on your continuing journey.

Mitch, when the highlight of my day is taking the cat to the vet I would rather read about your adventures with Sharon.

I found a kitten in the rose bushes this afternoon. She looks about 3 months old. Pretty little gray and white long hair kitty. I'm calling it a she but I don't know what it is. I can get within about 3 feet and it hisses at me. A couple of days of feed and it will come to me. Anyone need a kitten?

Only had 3 gifts to buy today but I ended up wandering around the stores aimlessly not able to make up my mind about anything! After 4 hours, I finally picked out a couple things. One gift is for a woman on my mom's side of the family who I don't know very well. I ended up just getting a throw blanket for her. Another gift is for our XMas Eve dice game to open and steal gifts for 15 minutes until the timer goes off. I got a hot air popcorn popper. Hopefully, I will end up with that back, since I could use it! The third gift was going to be a cordless phone/answering machine for my dad, but I changed my mind at the last minute and didn't get it. I guess I just wasn't in the right frame of mind for shopping today. Not very motivated or creative  Didn't even get anything for myself, not even chocolate! Did get some snacks and toys for the furkids tho. :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

WOW-----lots and lots of news on here today! I love getting caught up on what people are doing. I am trying to make some candy for my Christmas gifts for family this year, as I simply can't afford to get anything else. I think all will just have to be happy with special sweets! I would love to meet up with some of you before the January GTG, but not sure I can afford it. I could probably get to Melbourne Beach area for the day, as it's so close to my trailer in St. Cloud. Or, I could meet with anybody around this Orlando area. But traveling any farther at this point is just not possible for me. I feel so guilty not participating more, but I have been so depressed about money and feeling sort of trapped. Trapped in a beautiful place, for sure, but just not able to travel. Thank heavens I already have my reservations for Hillsborough in January! You all are certainly invited to come to either my house or my trailer, too, although parking RVs here at the Orlando house would not do. But there is plenty of room in St. Cloud.

Anyway----I will be spending time with my son and Melissa and her family this upcoming weekend, and then celebrating the real Christmas with the kids after that. I hope you all are enjoying whatever weather you are living through----it's still gorgeous down here, especially since I read that it was -28 degrees this morning back at my Adirondack house!

Carol, I hope you found some paprika for your casserole! And Carolb, I am happy to hear there is some improvement with your aunt. You've had a long haul with her.

Wendy, please don't sell your RV yet......take some time to recover and get back into the swing-----I feel a lot like you when it comes to traveling alone, so maybe we can caravan some places? Who knows----I may win a lottery if I ever buy a ticket!

Fireworks at Disney ending the night there, so I guess it's time I hit the hay. I should watch to see if the girl I am hoping will win the voice thing.

Happy Tuesday night to all!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!
