brrrrrrrrrrr It's Thursday..Morning ..we may thaw out...Where's the Sun... Sorry folks I used a picture I did before..cause Photo Bucket is under maintenance !!!..perhaps they are frozen.. like all of US !! well then this Meece is perfect...if I had water down it's be frozen..am thinking about my poor RV...now I have the tanks all empty cepting a little chemical and water so it keeps fresh..well it might be frozen fresh..but then my hot water tank and holding tanks (water) are empty..might be a tad bit of water in the lines..oooooh dear..crossing fingers on that one...One time I don't have anti freeze in her..but I'm in Floriduh !!!! Yikes..

We have some sad news from one of our Sista's.. Sparkle.. her fur baby Shona, her loyal friend of 19 years is on her last go at life...Sparkle, there are never the right words to say when this time comes to us all..but know that Shona has served you well..brought joy into your heart and made a young boy have a play toy..a kitty that grew up with him..and in your hearts your memories will carry you..Shona may leave you now..but her spirit will live long in your heart..Comfort her while she's here on this earth...as our Lord sure is ready to welcome her home..Crossing over that bridge will be easy for her..her life will no longer need to worry about illness but she'll play in amongst all your other critters..waiting till you meet again..

Mtngal..(Diana) waiting is always the hardest part..but you also have to think if this is the one..it will be YOURS..if you felt comfortable in your offer and that was what was the best for YOU..then don't sweat it.. MsBHaven..got some good advice..on where to head too... Yep, as I traveled back and forth the good Ole USA.. I ran into some strange storms and winds and yeppers even a few twisters.. it's amazing where they happened too..yep all the years I've stayed in Florida for winter months..there was two biggies..Kissimmee, and Wildwood.. yikes in fact Fernie was here when the one Twister set down in Wildwood.. but I can understand your feeling..but there's always gonna be some kind of weather thingy..just use your weather radio..(which I advise to have on board) and when you are on the open road pay attention to the radio..and listen to the news..keeping in formed of what's around you is a big thing.. and like Sharon said.. hey, what's a little tremor amongst friends...eeeeeeeew now Sharon..those scare me too... LOL

I haven't seen him in a couple days..might be he's frozen now too...LOL..

Good Morning to all.

Sparkle, I am empathizing with you and your long-time kitty friend. It's so hard to lose our fur friends, no matter if it's time, or not. Twitch, too, is not a healthy kitty any more, and I hold my breath each day when I get home from school, wondering what shape I will find him in. It's a difficult thing to go through, but just remember that your being with her when she breathes her last will be so comforting for Shona----just knowing you are there. I have that picture of her asleep on the stump in the sun at your last campsite as part of my screen-saver now.

To all others, I hope you are all able to stay warm and keep water lines from freezing! From what I hear, it's not warm anywhere on this east coast or in the mid sections of the country! For those of you in the sun in shorts and short-sleeved shirts, ENJOY it!!!

Shivers, laughter, and tears in your message this morning, Barbzeee. My birdbath looks just like yours. Told Belle and Bandit that the TV says keep your pets inside. I'm hoping the rv water lines will be ok too...I've never winterized in FL...don't even know how.

I haven't read your post yet, Sparkle, but my heart's aching for you. All of us who have had pets know how it feels to lose one. We love you and are sending you ((((hugs)))). Take care of that cold too. Soos is right, if you have a fever, you should see a doctor.

Good morning to all! I haven't read anything posts yet, but was checking in here for the morning update. Looks like I missed a lot. Sparkle, so sorry about your kitty. We have been busy doing "stuff". One of my foster pups, Mizi has mammary cancer. She has already ad one surgery. Now she must go in Monday for the second of three surgeries. I will post a separate thread in the Pets section. She needs all the good thoughts & prayers you'd care to send.

It is cold as a well diggers butt here too!! Keep dreaming of being someplace warm next winter!

Brrrrrrr, is right!!!! Good gosh Gertie!! It's cold out there. Yahoo says it's 7f?? I know that it's colder than that out there. Dang I wish my thermometer hadn't broke. Last night on the radio while on the way home they said the wind chill was ZERO. Oh goodness, sure am glad that I don't really need to worry much about frozen pipes in this house. There's a little bit of heat in the cellar and all the pipes are wrapped. Now the little house we lived in when we first moved down here in '94', those pipes froze a few times. Simply dragged the kero heater thru the cellar window and set it up down there, thawed those pipes just fine. Don't have that heater any longer so if the pipes here DO freeze I am gonna be S.O.L.

Didn't win the lottery again. I know cause that's one of the first things I checked when I got my eyeballs open enough to read and comprehend. ~sigh~

Barbz I sure do like that meece of yours. Maybe he needs a girly type to skate with? Then they can do the couples thing and win the Great Mouse Olympics?????

Ok I'm gonna refill my mug, grab some of Barbz yummies and finish getting around ready for work. Blech!!! Well I can at least keep dreaming about winning the lottery!!! Oh yeah!

Only one more day and night of cold to get thru, then 4 nice, much warmer days to look forward to here. Nicky and I will stay house bound again today.
Still have catch up bookkeeping to do as well as cleaning up some clutter that seems to be multiplying when I'm not looking. Does not have the makings of a very interesting day.
Must find a task that requires more motion to burn off a few calories; actually a lot of calories. Fell off the healthier eating wagon last night. Consumed way too much of all the wrong stuff, in other words an eating binge attack.

I don't alway post here - as I'm not one of the bright-eyed, bushy tailed morning people - But I do always read it - and check out Zeee's graphics - and have to comment cuz that is my favorite one - well, maybe one of my top 5 at least. That said, I'm so glad my cold spells here have never taken it below freezing. I didn't winterize last year in 'bama - and the few times it went below freezing, it warmed up nicely during the day so wasn't a problem. But I did go out and turn on a little heater overnight on those night (and opened the cabinet doors) so that any lines with water wouldn't freeze up. This year, I would have been in trouble - as they've had real deep freezes there. I do think you're probably ok in FL - doubt that inside has gotten too cold or stayed there long enough to freeze things to the danger point. Good luck!

Yep, you notice I thanked Ernie right off for my being without hot water last night and so far today - hahaha - actually, yes, it was a good thing he reminded me to care for the hot water heater - I've got enough things going in my 10 year old rig - no reason to lose it to my own neglect! Or to be paying for something I can do for peanuts. But, remember, if you have friends helping you - don't let them throw anything away till you have it finished.

I'm signed up to play poker in the rec hall at 1. So, if the part isn't here by noon, yep, I'll go take a shower in the bath house. Meantime, I'm working online and doing stuff in here. Have already boiled some eggs - that reminds me - got to talk about that in gadgets and gizmos - and made some egg salad. That and some soup will be lunch today.

I sure hope it warms up for everyone soon! Especially for you all in places where it seldom gets down to such low temps, it probably feels much worse. It's supposed to be above freezing here today and maybe the sixties by Sat. so hopefully it will quickly move your way.

Hello-----------it is past morning---but I made it here------------
it is finally above freezing here-------& layers & layers & layers of ice & snow are melting!!!!!!!
Now they say lakes are above normal level & with all the snow & ice melting we might need to watch for flooding again!!!!
I swear where does the time go--------not only do the hours fly by but the days & weeks & months fly by!!!!!!!
Hubby & I both got new glasses yesterday---------it is darned amazing what you miss when you need to have your glasses changed-----came home & noticed new billboards all the way home----came home & saw dirty windows & mirrors----& things I had no noticed before---------probably was past time to have the glasses changed!!!!!!
