Thursday morning, Already...

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Thursday morning, Already...

Postby rvgrammy1953 » Thu Sep 19, 2013 4:21 am

My internal clock is so wacky....it so like 4am for some reason....when to bed at 9pm...maybe that has something to do with it....am going to try staying up later...maybe that will help....seems I only need 7 hours sleep these days....

Cleaned and did laundry yesterday....so will be lazy today and try to get that darn baby blanket done for the new Great-niece that arrived 2 weeks ago...and get it off to CA before she's any older...

Thinking of Mitch today....praying that all goes well and sending healing and healthy thoughts to TN....will patiently wait for Vickie's report... ;)

Ernie has volunteered me to make biscuits and chip beef gravy for the guys here this morning...so will make extra for any of you that want to join in... :)

Okay, better finish up my reading here....

Have a great day, all...

Good morning Lori & all to follow :D

I haven't kept up with all reports, but today is a big day for Mitch? Gonna knock out that nasty cancer cell (loved the pillow from Red)!!! Hope all is well with everyone this morning....

Been busy helping cousin prepare for a garage sale this weekend--she has great stuff, so I've gotten a new wardrobe out of it  Canning is DONE--pickled beets turned out great.

Sarah, quite a trip for you & Nikki--not bad for a woman who didn't know what the hail she was doing just a year ago ;) Won't be long before we see you in FL???

Was so hungry for biscuits & gravy the other day, so went out for breakfast to have some!!!!

Y'all have a great day, a great start to the weekend, & safe travels always 8-)

Good Morning! I'm thinking of Mitch as well and will be sneaking looks at the forum all day at work. Today is my Friday. It's homecoming in town tomorrow and DH's 45th class reunion.

Dang Lori...I love SOS especially made with dried beef! But I'm afraid I'd be a little too late for breakfast. :D

No wonder the earth shook this morning! Frankly, I don't need that kind of reminder to say a big prayer for our friend. But here I am, wide awake thanks to a couple of small(!) earthquakes centered about 10 mi. east of me. All is okay, except for my nerves. It'll be an interesting day at school. You can be sure we'll talk about earthquake procedures today and I'll be feeling everything as I'm in a portable classroom and the floor shakes if a kid walks across the room.

I'll be checking in today to look for Vickie's report. Standing with everyone here to wish Mitch the best ...

Good Morning,

Definitely thinking of Mitch today and just learned another friend is getting her chemo port today.

I will be leaving here this morning and headed for Thousand Trails in Port Republic, New Jersey - not a long drive, but I have to stop for groceries and maybe a haircut. I was hoping the Camping World along the way would stock the 30 amp autoformer, but only available online. I sold the 50 amp at the end of the NYC tour. I will be parked until Wednesday or Thursday next week before going on to see cousins in Cape May.

Hoping to work on my blog and get those NYC pictures on.

The biscuits and SOS sound so good, Lori!! Laura, just a little reminder you live in CA!

Good morning everyone. Thinking and praying for Mitch this morning as well. Today is Thursday, which is cleaning day here. Then a massage this afternoon. My youngest daughter is driving from Seattle down to Houston. First day she drove Seattle to Medford, OR. Yesterday from Medford to Las Vegas, 12 hrs on the road. I worry so much about her being out on the road by herself. I doubt any of my kids would worry if I was solo on the road!! Anyway looking forward to seeing her again soon! Biscuits and gravy were mentioned so many times in the las few days I went out yesterday and had some as well LOL. This morning it'll muesli, yogurt, and fresh fruit :P Everyone have a great day and stay safe. Aloha, y'all

Good Morning all,

Wow, either I'm late or everybody got up early this morning. Well, it's after 9 here, so guess I'm late  Actually I've been on this "puter" for a bit, catching up on email and paying bills, now doing a quick post before heading to town.

I too am thinking of Mitch and so glad that Vickie is there. Will wait patiently for word later today. I just know in my heart that all will go well for Mitch.

Rain is the word here this morning, so no outdoor work today. Had a good day yesterday with the paint brush. Since it was so nice and mild, I painted all the wood posts for my backyard fence (6) as well as one wood fence gate. Then went over to next door neighbors house and did some painting on wood trim on porch and lower garage door trim. It's been peeling and in need of fresh paint. She's a widow and can't afford to hire anybody to do things for her, so some of us neighbors help out. My reward was a nice plate of pasta, sauce and sausage for dinner :D I get care pacakages and goodies from her all the time. And I wonder why I can lose weight

Gonna make stuffed peppers later today. Picked up some fresh Amish grown ones at the farmer's market yesterday. Tomorrow is my appt. with the eye specialist, so will make dinner a day early. I have enough if anybody wants to join me :)

So, heading off here and getting my shopping and errands moving. Have a great day all.

I was awake at 4:30 this morning...Lori, I certainly hope you're not catching! Seems we pick the same days to not be able to sleep. Mitch was my first thought this morning and I'll continue to send healing thoughts to her all day. Not a lot going on here as usual, maybe a trip into town. Have a great day, all!

I was up at 6:00, who the heck can sleep between the phone and the exercise bike. Then I had to find the book for the tractor to see how many gallons the fuel tank holds. My DH filled the tank yesterday and went to mow a pasture for a neighbor. He left the cap off and now the tank is full of trash and the tractor won't start. He started talking to the neighbor at church and now the guy shows up every other day. Yesterday he just walked in. How do you fall out with someone that dense? He and his wife are old hippies and I think they did too many drugs. I have avoided the wife for years because you never know what frame of mind she will be in. I have heard that she will just get up in church and go off on a tangent.

I'll be thinking of Mitch too but have to go to Lafayette so won't be able to check my computer until later.

Good Morning... and Mitch was the first thing on my mind also... have prayed and will continue to pray... so glad she has so many friends unseen or other wise...

It will be a hot one here today... not much of a break...

Oh Lori I truly like chipped beef gravy... have not made it in years...

Martha that sounds like a real mess with the gas tank... :(

Sarah will be on her way home... what fun she has learned... and I agree a year ago she did not know what was in her future now she can ride the super highway or country roads then boondocks at night under the stars!!

The young lady that cleaned yesterday did a good job... she is 21 and this was her first job at cleaning... she needed a bit of guidance but other wise she did fine...

Safe travels everyone

A good late morning to all, and I have been thinking of Mitch all night and all morning. I am so thankful Phyllis will be there to keep her down when she wakes up! I will be looking for a progress report all day and will be sending powerful strength and healing thoughts her way, as best as I know how.

Sunshine here today and forecast to get up to about 76 degrees-----absolutely perfect weather.

Edited this to name Phyllis instead of Vickie for today.)

Good Afternoon all, Here in OR it's 3:20 PM...I just got a chance to use the electricity from Karen's motor home. She and Judy went off to the casino where we are all parked. I don't gamble because I always lose and it hurts too much!
Last night Beth, Karen and I went and had fish and chips at the casino. (not as good as those in San Diego) but the company is fun. Beth took off for San Berdo this AM and her job.
We have had beautiful sunny weather here at Coos Bay the past three days. I even got sunburnt on the legs sitting out and visiting.
Was very happy to receive Vickys message about Mitch. I'm off to Tugman St Pk tomorrow after a run at the grocery store.
Looking forward to the gtg and meeting more on the forum. lyn
