Yes, we are now at our friends' special "site #1" here near Darien, GA for the next 3 weeks.... :D We so need time to chill, relax, and regroup....so here we are...

Arrived yesterday about 2pm.....after our friend, Andy, got us into his new and improved site...(has a cement pad with over head cover...will take photos later today for ya'.)
we got all settled in and had a nice evening of food, fun and friends....

Today will be doing some laundry and relaxing....Tomorrow, we'll run to the commissary at Ft. Stewart to stock up...and visit some friends at the CG there...

Then come back and chill some more...

So we'll hang out til Oct. 1st and then head to FL for a couple of months....

Okay, Coffee is ready and some sliced GA peaches with yogurt for ya'....help yourself...

Have a great day, all....

Good morning Lori & all to follow :D

Great to hear you, Sultan & Spinny made it to your "old stomping grounds." Hey, I can picture Ft Stewart where you'll be shopping--hard to believe it's been almost a year since I visited you at the Ft Stewart cg...& I'll see you in FL in a couple months :D

Bro says one more day of canning tomorrow, just when I thought we were done & had returned my kitchen to "normal." But, yes, looks like enough maters ripened in the past few days....

Mmmmm peaches--fresh sliced would be good, but loved the cobbler you served me in Olean!

Y'all have a great day & safe travels always! 8-)

Good Morning,

The temp reached 96 here yesterday. It was a 'free day' and I stayed home. Worked on my blog and I have fixed the links this morning - sorry about that as I usually check them when I post.

Today we visit the 9/11 Memorial and tonight we see 'Wicked'. Thunderstorms are predicted so could be interesting.

That fun time of year as many prepare to head South! I won't be doing that for about another month.

Good Morning all, Lori, it sounds like you have a perfect place to R & R! Fresh sliced peaches sound really good! Sorry about those tomatoes Carol, I hope this is the last batch! Do you still have some left from last years canning marathon? Anita I am so enjoying your NYC trip, thank you for sharing all the wonderful pictures. I hope the weather improves for you ,maybe the rain will bring cooler temps at least. Today is the day the cold front is to arrive here and I am impatiently waiting!!
Toby says it's time for his walk so guess I better get started on the day.

Good Morning all,

Yep, definitely a lot of folks heading south or getting ready to. The Michigan wanderers are also heading south slow but sure as well. No plans in that direction for me as of now.

I'm heading into my kitchen today and bake up a bunch of chocolate zucchini cakes, so kitchen will be a mess, just like Carolb  But when we are both done, we can stand back and look at the results of it all :) I might even tackle making some pineapple zucchini bread, but need to pick up a few ingredients that I don't have here for that. Maybe tomorrow's project. Seems like everybody I know around here, have been busy canning, freezing etc. with all the bounty that's coming in right now. Gotta do it while the goodies are available. Won't last much longer.

Speaking of peaches, our Michigan peaches are ripe and there are a lot of them at the local farmer's market. So good, sweet and juicy too.

So best be getting to the kitchen and get going here. Weather is turning much cooler, so good time to fire up the oven. Frost predicted by Saturday night. So fall is here. Those of you who are still in the warm air, hang in there. Much cooler air working down from Canada towards you.

Good Morning All, Oh, peaches, I love 'em! Anita, loved the blog about NYC. It is quite the place. I found people to be very helpful/friendly when I have been there. Not like the things you read about in the news. Never been a farmer, never canned. But I have spilled things on the oven floor!!!
Hey Catherine, I drove 732 miles in four days. One of those stretches, or, curves and ups and downs, on the edge of the cliff, was Hwy 1 from Cambria to Carmel. That took 3 hours!!! I suspect I will not do that again, but I don't say never. I haven't done it for quite awhile, so wanted to do it again when I am in no hurry.
Have a nice day all..I'm staying with the daughter for a few days. lyn

A bit cooler this Good Morning... then temps will reach 90 later... tonight the cool down 52 then 70s for a while... yea yea yea so very glad for that... we had a shower in the night... I have a fan in the window until the air comes on... will be able to shut it down this evening and open windows... if I didn't have Shadow I would not be able to open windows...

I finally got a letter written to Hilde letting her know how much it helped me when she took Shadow... the alone time crying every day gave me the courage to say NO to my children...

I will get meals called Peace Meals delivered starting Monday... cleaning help 3 or more if needed a week... and today I go to the dentist for x-rays and an evaluation... I got a letter yesterday saying they would take care of all the huge hospital bill from my May stay.... I hate and do mean hate taking charity but it is what it is... have never taken from anybody... so wow things are looking up...

Not sure if Florida is in my future or not... time will tell...

Lori you folks are making your way south... so glad you are able to travel again... and Carol I would help with the canning if I were there... tomatoes are so fun to do... but much more fun with help... I got 3 peaches at the store last week and they were dry as a bone smelled wonderful but dry... so Sue I can envy you and the peaches... nothing in the world like Michigan peaches... love them!! It sounds like Anita is rested up and ready for another day of seeing NY!!

Take care every enjoy this day no matter where your feet take you... Or your wheels...

Another drizzly morning. Talked Bobby into walking the dogs so I could stay in bed. Having to start thinking about skirting the rig. I did boards last year, but think it would be easier and overall cheaper to do the permanent stuff.

Heading to Denver to finish packing up the house. My parents have offered to store stuff for me which actually makes it harder. I was thinking it would be easier just to donate or throw out EVERYTHING.

Hope you all have a terrific Thursday and Mitch, I'll be thinking about ya.

This will be a short post because I have no cell service in campground and thus no internet connection. Sitting in a parking lot in town and need to get some work done.

Cool and foggy here in Washington. I am going to do some exploring later with my bike, but I need to get some laundry done and have got company meeting me tomorrow around noon, so got to get things straightened up and clean, also. Those of us who live alone certainly do have our habits and places for tucking things, so will need to do some clearing for guests, a couple from my old high school days.

Got a glimpse of the Pacific ocean earlier and want to walk on the beach, if I can find it! Hope everyone has a good day. By the way, I have an appointment with a urologist in Napa in two weeks about my bloody urine problem. I want to make sure it is nothing serious. Might also find someone to check my knee out, also, since the right one is very painful going down stairs. Both were replaced years ago, but I have fallen and stretched the right one badly.
