Toasty Tuesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Toasty Tuesday

Postby Redetotry » Tue Sep 10, 2013 9:06 am

Good Morning, I think we will all need a lot of coffee to get going today. I may need ice in mine though it is supposed to be another mid-nineties day with high humidity :(
I'm working on cleaning out my closet and one last drawer in the dresser I no longer can stand to look at! It was in my room when I moved to my Grannies in 1960 and I thought it was ugly then! I have no why I've kept it all these years.
I hope everyone getting ready or thinking about getting ready for heading to Florida gets everything organized. I'm hoping to go to St Louis as soon as this weather breaks for a night or two.
For those on the road, safe journeys.

Good morning all! :D

Yep, summer is returning for a few days--woke to major lightning/thunder storm this a.m., & plenty of rain with it. Tapered off now, & I'm off for errands before we hit our expected high in the 80s with humidity!

Kathleen, your coffee-making procedure! That was in the post that I poofed the other day--I gave up on electric coffee makers years ago & just do the "boil water, pour through filter" thing! Little did I know, I was practicing for making coffee on the road!

My goodness, Lori! Glad to hear you're doing well enough to have done all the traveling you've done! :D Others on the road south, & soon, but not soon enough, me too :P

Yikes, Soos, you did get some cold! So sad to hear about your loneliness--hope you can meet up with friends again while you "wait out" the next month there in the beautiful Adirondacks for Orion's 2nd. G'grief, Sharon, did you say you were holding a GREAT grandbaby???

Oops, need to get going. Y'all enjoy your morning, have a great day & safe travels always! 8-)

Good morning gals! The temps are coming down here but still a bit humid this morning so still have the AC on in here.

Yesterday evening I went to my golf banquet. The golf course we have been playing at, is closing for good due to financial problems, so we are moving to another golf course next year. I haven't played there before but I heard it is really nice. It is part of the Baker Park Preserve where I went camping earlier this summer.
We got lots of nice gifts, including a blanket with the old golf course logo on it, which is very nice. We had a great dinner and lots of fun!

There is a gal on the golf league who works as a physical therapist at the nursing home where my dad was, and she worked with him. She gave me tips on how to exercise my ankle, so that will help. It already feels better after doing those last night.

I have the day off and have to take my dad to a doctor appointment later on and do some work around here today and pay some bills. Fun stuff!

Can't believe some campgrounds are closing for the season already! Seems way too soon. Fall is one of the best times for camping with cooler temps, fresh air and changing colors on the trees!

Have a great day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Hot here along the Columbia River in Washington, also. Supposed to be 95 and the sun is starting to hit the side of my motorhome, so I need to put my awning out soon. Also want to wash windows on the outside. Did some of my everlasting dusting inside to help my allergies. And want to find a laundry tomorrow so I can wash the rug I spilled stuff on last night, but that will be tomorrow on my way out of here.

Got a lot of gnats still, probably from the fruit I bought yesterday, but fruit is now washed and put away. My vinegar and dish soap gnat trap is working and I zapped quite a few last night with my electronic bug wand. Went on a real gnat hunt last night!

Got work to do also, though online access is very weak. Will do stuff offline and then upload. Hope this goes through.

I had to set my alarm clock for this morning because I had my annual check up with my dermatologist. My friend calls him the mad scientist. If you have something unusual he will drag out his books to show you. The dermatologists around here are an independent bunch. Mine is the only one that I know of that will take medicare and insurance. It takes 2 months to get in to see some of the rest and if you want to use your insurance you have to file it yourself. I only had one growth on my face that had to be frozen.

It's hot today so I went to Sam's, bought too much and came home. It looks like it wants to rain again.

I don't know what's Annie's problem this afternoon but if she doesn't stop trying to walk on my computer and knock things off my desk I'm going to throw her fuzzy butt outside.

I'm sure you are not as aggravating as our Annie. She had seizures as a kitten and we like to say that her elevator doesn't go all the way to the top. When she wants something she walks round and round on my desk knocking things off with her tail. She has me well trained like all of our cats. I just have to figure out what she wants.
