Good morning, Kathleen, et al. Glad you too have relief from the heat, Kathleen. Hope there is relief from the pain for you too.

Today my sister and I will take the kayaks out again, now that the inflatable is repaired. Not sure where yet, we will check the wind and weather before we decide.

Yesterday we had a tour of the big stone mansion (circa 1910) at Borderland State Park. The Ames family sold their land and home to the state in the 1970s for a state park. They left most of the original furnishings and paintings done by Blanche Ames, as well as valuable historical documents including 3 signed by Presidents Abraham Lincoln, James Madison and McKinley, respectively. Unfortunately no photos allowed of the interior.

Good Morning Kathleen and Everyone !!! Its raining here, so what else is new, Right??? I keep praying some of the rain would go west, they need it so badly out there. My tomato and pepper plants are sure doing good though, grass is also. Yes, Sue, seems all I think about is how fast this grass is growing and being so wet all of the time, its hard on the mower to mow if it gets to high.

I've had my coffee, but you know this morning, thinking of going for another cup. I'm still boxing stuff up here. My friend is having her yard sale next wk end, so I am getting it ready to go and will leave Thursday and go spend a few days. Ready for some conversation and someone else's company, besides my own.

When I went out into the livingroom this morning, switched the overhead light on, as it was just after 5, and livingroom is dark at that time of morning. Well, the bulb, blew so there is another job for today. List just keeps getting longer and here I set

good morning ladies
what a fabulous storm we had yesterday and lots of water rescues on the news. The majority of it being in the Apache Junction area.
But certainly got alot in my neighborhood. The ground is now saturated.
4 more summer school days and then about a week off before the new school year kicks in. I can hardly wait so I can get started on
my savings again.

GOOD MORNING KATH AND ALL!

Hope your pain is getting under control by now, Kath.....pain can so wear a person down.

It got down to 42 degrees here last night---I believe we were the coldest spot on the nation, per usual more often than not. It's now up to 66 in the sun which is shining on my outdoor thermometer. I'm heading out so sit in the welcome sun, listen to the robins and white-throated song sparrows serenade me, and finish my coffee!

I got another screen room set up yesterday, and I am hoping we don't get any more violent winds like we had a couple of days ago to tear this one to pieces.

Later I will defrost the refrigerator in the party barn, roll out the awning on my old trailer to let it dry and so I can roll it up tighter as it tried to unfurl in the storm the other night, perhaps mow a bit, bag up some more spent little propane canisters to take back to the fuel company in town tomorrow when I take Dinah to the vet's for her blood check to make sure her meds aren't doing liver damage to her. Then there are always tons of blueberries to pick and freeze! I also wish to make another batch of blueberry crisp.

Good morning girls! Beautiful day here on Tybee Island but more rain later. The daily rain really helps to keep the temps down and doesn't seem to add to the humidity so I say let it rain!! Karen and I went kayaking yesterday. We really wanted to make it over to Little Tybee (which is bigger than big Tybee) but the weather and current were against us. Karen thought we could make it, but I'm a wuss! We're off to the city later to take the haunted night tour...should be interesting! LOL! We have today and tomorrow here and then we head up the road to Charleston for a week. I've never been there either, so I'm looking forward to it. I love Savannah and really need to come back in the future to catch the stuff I missed.

Good morning everyone. We over slept. Suppose to have RED to bay #4 by 6:45am. Tyler got me up at 5:30 so I thought I would take a snooze till 6. Woke up at 6:50. I was so rattled. I hate being rushed. The rules at Camp Red Bay (they say it is the health dept.) say you may not leave any hoses (sewer or water) at your site. Last night I was outside emptying the black tank and ran the clean out spray for a while. Then went out to empty the grey water tank. Just as I pulled the valve handle, the sky opened up and flushed me. I'm standing in the pouring rain watching my tank empty. The water started to get higher around my feet and at the sewer opening in the ground. So I closed the valve, went inside and thought, "Tyler will wake me early and I'll have plenty of time to finish this task". It poured, hailed (no damage), lightening and thunder for a couple hours.

Now it is 6:50 and we need to get RED into the service bay ASAP. Gotta hold up our part of the service regiment. DH was throwing everything on the bed and closing the slides while I tried to get the sewer hose put away. DH came out to "help" in his rush, rush mode and takes the fold up sewer hose stacker and throws it in the cargo bay. But it is tangled with the water hose that is still connected at one end. I get down in the mud and disconnect the hose, DH rolls it up and puts it in the back cargo bay. He then drives down the "run way" (its an old airport) toward service bay #4. I notice the water hose dragging on the driver side. I'm running trying to get DH's attention, afraid that cargo bay door is open. If he tries to pull into the bay with that door open, we'll have another thing to add to the list. A service tech waved him down and stopped him while I madly shoved the hose in its place and secured the door.

Then I forgot my wifi booster antenna. I had placed it on a stick and had the stick velcored to the ladder so the antenna was 3 ft above the top of the ladder. It was going to hit the top of the cargo bay door. So, now I'm climbing the ladder with everyone watching to lower my antenna. By the way it is working very well even though we are in the service bay with a roof over us. The antenna is on the rear ladder and still picks up the park's wifi.

Then I place my attention to Tyler. He is all over the place. So, I take him for a long walk to get us both calmed down. He won't eat when we get back. I try to get everything put away and look like some sense of organization. But of course the techs are pulling stuff apart. So here I sit with my coffee and laptop connected to my antenna. Just another day in the service bay at Red Bay Life is good.

A beautiful day on Homer Spit this am. Sun shining, no humidity and the water looks calm. tGM is going out for another day of halibut fishing. At this rate he's going to need to get back on the Internet for even more recipes 10 more days til I can quit wearing my ortho shoe and start wearing regular shoes. Boy, am I ready! Today is my oldest granddaughter's 16th birthday! How time flies. She is so creative. Decided to have a 1950's theme diner party. Can't wait to see the pics and hopefully Skype with her. Just love all the hi tech that allows us to stay connected. Off to make more coffee. Everyone enjoy your day! carold

Well it is past morning but I'm just getting a chance to post. I am still laughing over Red and her DH getting everything ready to head to their appointment. Don't you just hate it when 'they' decide to help. You might as well hide your eyes as you know it's not going to be good. I'm visualizing Red racing down the runway in her jammies. She didn't say what she was wearing but by the way the morning was going that could have been the scene.
Sharon your trip sounds really good, Savannah and Charleston are on my list. I'm trying to place Karen what is her forum name? Soos, 42 sounds good to me, especially if it warms up a bit for the day. Carold fresh halibut sounds really good wish I were there to try some of tGM's recipes. Ava, schools must start really early out there! I think they go back that early in FL too, kids don't get much of a vacation.

Okay, so good afternoon! Sounds like things are well with most of you. I'm way late posting, but it's because I'm enjoying this cooler weather! Got a lot of yardwork done yesterday & finished up this a.m. More storms are on their way this afternoon/evening/night, but loving the cooler temps! Soos, we had the high winds the other night too, but so sorry to hear of your screen tents biting the dust. I read the description of your camp/facilities on GTG--what a nice set up! Still trying to figure out the logistics of the Ruckus, MI, & visiting sis. A lot hinges on some dr appts I'm trying to fit in before I go anywhere. Nothing serious, just routine stuff; but I'd managed to meet my deductible, so I thought I'd go for more while it's still within my insurance year which ends Sept 1....

Speaking of which, how are things going Lori? Kathleen, hope you are feeling better too--just hug that little pup & maybe you'll both feel better
