Wet Thursday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wet Thursday

A Soggy Good Morning from the 45th,

Gee, it's nice to be able to post and not be talking about a snowy morning for once. Rains moving through today and tomorrow, although changing over to snow tomorrow afternoon, but doesn't look like a big deal and this time of year it's gone pretty quick.

Dawn, I am not sure just what part of OK you are in, but I thought of you as I watched the Weather Channel last night with reports of tornadoes and deadly storms in OK. Hope all is okay where you are.

Had a pretty good day yesterday. Went to Chiropractor in a.m., did some shopping, picked up some paint to repaint the bathroom, and went and bought a new mattress set. Hope if helps the back situation. Then decided to take the dogs for a ride to Indian River and we walked Burt Lake State Park for awhile. They enjoyed all new snifs of course. Burt Lake is starting to open up along the shoreline of the park, in some places about 25 ft. out from shore. So Ms. Tessa just had to initiate her 2013 wading season. Brrrrr. But I guess since she is living on borrowed time so to speak, she may as milk it for all it's worth. She didn't wade in that far. Maybe knee deep for her.

BJ, thanks for your input on the Yoga class. I had been going to a Seniors Exercise class that is a mix of Aerobics, Dance, Yoga, Muscle Moves and a bit of everything thrown in. Our instructor is really good and when you are done, you know you have had a good workout. But right now, I am not quite ready to return to the class. My Chiropractor says I'm pretty close though. Now that we are getting rain and my yard is clearing of snow, I will be outside doing yard work and that is a good form of exercise for my muscles as it moves a variety of them around. So I will probably not return to gym class till fall. Today I am heading in fora half hour massage. Ahhhhhh.

Seems to be a tragic week this week, with storms, the Boston bombings and now that big explosion at the fertilizer plant in TX. As they say, it comes in bunches. My heart goes out to all those who were injured, killed, lost homes, family members and what notand i hope nobody on this forum had any family or friends in those places.

Lori, glad to see youa nd Ernie are slowly moving up the line. Wow Judy, you don't mince it when you hit the road do you. But sounds like you are in a nice spot even if it is in the off season down there. Now take your time heading home with this weather front coming through.

Have a wonderful day all. Those in the path of the storms, stay safe as well of those of you who are travelilng.

Good morning Sue and everyone else.

We missed the tornadoes and severe weather here. Thank goodness. We were under a tornado watch most of the day yesterday but that is not unusual in the Spring here.

This has been an awful week with the Boston bombings and the explosion in West, TX. My heart goes out to all those injured and to the families of the people killed.

Sue, I know you will be really glad when the snows finally go away for you. The temperatures here are supposed to keep dropping through the day today and we are under a freeze warning for in the morning. That is really unusual for this part of the country to have freezes this late in the Spring. I am going to drive my car to go open the gate this morning.

Everyone have a wonderful day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

Just a quick note! Sue, You might not be out of the woods when it comes to snow! We're in a winter storm warning today and it is snowing and blowing right now. We're going to try getting to work.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Good morning everyone. My morning routine is to put my choice of coffee into the Kuerig and turn on the TV and watch news while I prepare breakfast. Since DD has been in South Korea I have been afraid of what I would hear each morning. But Boston attack and the explosion in a town north of Waco, TX. I think I may become a turtle and withdraw into my shell. :? My prayers are with the injured and families of the injured and those that lost someone. All this keeps reminding one how fragile life is and we need to remember to give thanks for each new day we are still here :P

I spent a few hours the past couple days and finally have a travel blog up. Went back and put the pictures from our first day with Monty till our most recent adventure in RED. All except out trip out to AZ.

Today I am trying to complete the costumes for our clown outfits for the circus next week and getting RED ready to move to the fairgrounds on Sunday. I am Driving up to Dallas tomorrow AM to see my cousin. I lived with her family after my father died when I was 5 yrs old. So we are more like sisters. She lives in FL but will be in Dallas for the weekend, so I'm headed up to have a visit for the weekend while her DH is a speaker at a conference. The hotel they are staying does not allow dogs. However the one next door does. So Tyler is going with me. So off to the groomers today so he is more presentable at the fancy hotel :P

Everyone stay warm this weekend and stay safe. Aloha y'all

Good Morning Everyone.

Woke up at 4:15 and have stayed busy since. Got gas and groceries and talked again with the RV repair guy. Then another trip to the grocery because I didn't realize I can't buy wine before 7:00 a.m. in Texas. Today is meat sauce making day and it absolutely has to include red wine. So, there I am buying wine at 7:05 a.m. Life is full of new experiences lately. We got some rain in San Antonio this morning. Unfortunately I left the dog outside while I was running around, so she got soaked. It was a warm rain, and she doesn't seem to mind. Besides she loves getting rubbed down with a big towel, especially if a game of tug is included. Like most I'm reeling from the tragic violence in Boston, the poison mail to our leaders in DC, and the explosion in West, Texas. There are calls out for blood donations, here. My prayers go out to everyone affected. The rain has stopped; there's a nice breeze, and I've opened all the downstairs windows. The house will be nice and fresh for dinner guests tonight. I think I'll need a nap before they get here. Safe travels to all.

Beautiful sunny day today. I love these pleasant days and chilly evenings and nights. Right now I have my window open and letting that cool everything off--since I am sitting in the sun, it gets warm inside. It really feels nice to have clean breezes that are coming off the ocean and to hear the road of the surf in the distance.

I went driving up to the lighthouse yesterday and took photos of that and the beach, even if it wasn't open for climbing. Will go back tomorrow to climb it in the morning and then take the ferry south to Ocracoke Island, which will be a little scary since the ferries are small and open. (I have been assured they take big trucks and RVs and will be safe, but I hate to trust my rig and all my belongings.)

So today, it will be TV for a couple of hours and grading a handful of papers and then I am taking off for a bike ride of this little town of Hatteras this afternoon. Going to ask if I can wash my RV. There were some tenters here, but they left, so I am the only one here other than the owners and they are still sawing and hammering on the bathhouse.

Sue, try a topper on that new mattress if it doesn't help your back on its own. I ended up with a 3" memory foam topper on the hard mattress in this motorhome, and it is wonderful for my back!

Hello, everyone. I don't post much, but I'm on the Oregon Coast in my rig and thought I would check-in. I arrived on Tuesday to watch my granddaughter's track meet. She has another one on Saturday so I decided to stay (I live 3 hours away). The weather is beautiful, a little breezy, but that's normal. Next month, I'll be headed to Beverly State Beach, here in Oregon for the GTG and whale watching. So excited to meet the ladies.

Ok, this is getting downright frustrating! We are in the middle of a major snowstorm...again!  . It was supposed to rain all day and turn to snow tonight with up to 6 inches over night. Well, the snow started at 11:00 this morning instead and we already have almost 6 inches here, with another 3-6 on the way! High winds with it too. The schools are all closed around here. Thank God I have 4 wheel drive or I would have had a heck of a time getting home from work (very steep hill going up to my apartment complex) . Right now it is coming down about 2 inches per hour. Feel bad for the birds and geese. They look so confused.
Sue, you usually get what we get, so get ready!

I have the next 2 days off so will probably just hunker down and read and play with the ferrets.

I feel so bad for the people affected by the bombing in Boston. Such a senseless tragedy! Haven't heard much about the explosion in TX but my thoughts go out to those in that area as well. Life is fragile and precious.

Take care
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I certainly understand your frustration, Barbie, but it sure is pretty.
