Its finally Saturday

Good morning ladies
well, its finally Saturday but my work week hasn't ended yet as I have to go in for first aid recertification
this morning. Not something I look forward to, it takes up 5 hours of a "normally day off" but...it
has to be done every two years and I was on the list this go around. Told them it would throw me into
overtime which is a big no no but it can't be helped and they are aware of it. So I shouldn't get any flack
out of it. So my saturday routine will be off and will have to do laundry this afternoon. I did socks and shirts
last night and will do bedding and towels this afternoon. Trying to get all the bases covered cause tomorrow
is reserved for fun.
Thats about it for now as I want to get email and other stuff gone over before I get out of here. Ya'll have a

Ava..and if you retire will this be "the last time" for the training in relationship to school....I keep reminding myself of "lasts" It helped keep perspective!

Hope everyone has a great day. Am looking forwards to "weekend" chores now that I am back to work for a time. Need to evaluate the calendar and the choices for this summer and see just how many work "projects" I might want to accept. I am also looking at solo/women travel sites so that my mind can dream of those farther off places that I want to see. Life is good and no house work is getting done. (Or hiking with dogs...it is cold out here in Ohio! )

Good Morning,

Ava, not how I would want to spend my day off!

I am up early (for me) as we are going for a long desert ride today on a trail new to me.

We went for a ride on my favorite 'search for critters' trail yesterday afternoon. We can't seem to come up with anything but chuckwallas (iguana) on the south side of Hwy 60. We went to the north side where sheep are sometimes seen - no luck. On our way back to the park, we saw 3 sheep on the south side!! One looked over a rock at just the right time for me to spot him. Cacti are blooming. I really believe rain came at the right time this year because the desert seems more colorful with green and flowering bushes.

Looking forward to boondocking with Carolb tomorrow night - providing she, Sharon and Donna don't get into too much trouble today!

Good Morning from rainy Ga. Mountains, Tina, I like your theory of "lasts". Sorry, Ava that you have those 5 hrs to give today, but do I understand right they may be overtime hrs for you ? Hope so !!

I'm only a few hours from home, and taking my time this morning, thought I'd check in as I am not certain what I will find there. Drizzly rain here and hope that is all it will be while I drive these mts, not many places to stop and I do like to see those curves Oh well ,just thought of Tina' s welcome home this can't be that bad (I hope). Hoping all signs of freezing up there has been washed away time I get there, another reason for being pokey this morn, Ok, so I don't need a reason to poke along, just comes natural

I am way behind on reading the forum, I do hope all are well, those traveling are staying safe and warm, but most of all hope all are able to find some good times in each day !!!!

Time to get moving here, and see what those roads are like. Little more checking around this area first,

Cold Morning to everyone... and we are having a winter storm watch tomorrow into Monday... saw that we could get a few inches of snow... Endings only bring new beginnings!
Not a good report today -0 total -22 not liking to think of the week ahead but will keep plugging away...
I am going to make dinner to take to the workers at Pete and Shaelyns house... roast beef, potatoes, carrots, onions and tomatoes... apple sauce and bread and butter... those younger people can eat away!!
Good to see you post on your last leg heading home Carol... you have had a great winter... and Tina hope you find fun jobs for the summer... Ava we used to tack on our training to one evening that way it didn't mess up our weekend... makes for a long day though... any week is very long after vacation... the schools here have spring break this week...
Need to make another cup of coffee and start my oatmeal cooking...

Warmer this morning than yesterday and almost no wind, but rain and thunder looks to stay around all day. Not a problem because they need the rain. Changed my bed this morning and have two loads of laundry going--close to laundry room so not a problem even in rain. Will stay in today finishing the rest of the oral presentations for this semester! That will leave me free for Universal Studios next weekend.

So my long beachwalk will be postponed until tomorrow. Just going with the flow.

back from class, got a 100% on my test
Saturday is always the day they do the class, wish they could do Wednesdays when I don't have a mid day run but
they do it their way and that means Saturday. Its free, but I do have the option of going to the red cross and doing
a class at my convenience but then I have to pay for it. So I'll take Saturday with the overtime any day. I have about
38 hours in for the week so today gives me 42 and a half, we got out of there about 11:30.
We also have been without our CBS station here for a couple days, they lost some transmitter and it effected the
antenna stations and some of the cable stations. They finally got it fixed and today I have CBS Its the one
station I watch the most.
Ok, off to get some other chores done while the washer is going.

Our weather is sure nasty. It started out foggy and now it's foggy with a heavy mist.

yea, your right, thats the one reason I didn't whine much about it being out cause my regular tv shows weren't on
anyway.
