Good morning Lori and all to follow. It is going to be another beautiful day here in Houston. Bright sunny day in the mid 70s. Just sipping my coffee and thinking about what I want to eat. I moved RED yesterday. :P Had Tyler with me. He was so funny. Wherever I put his bed he would lunge for it and curl up. I was trying to find a good spot for him to be when we are driving. So, I put the bed under the dinette table. He jumped on it and curled up. Then I hit the switch to pull that slide in. He was moving with the slide. He put his head up, looked at me and then around the coach and put his head back down, like saying, "I'm just along for the ride!"

RED does not have "Park". Just neutral, forward and back. The air brakes keep you "parked". So I adjusted the mirrors and learned how to use the 3 cameras (one in the back and one on each side view mirror). The air brakes are really sensitive. This big ole bus lurching back and forth, up and down the driveway :? But I got the feeling of the brakes. And how to put the air brakes on and off when parked. Also learning about using that backup camera. It's mounted on the very top of the rig looking down on the whole world back there. Had to learn how real the distance is in the camera while backing up. So I went back and forth several times and then moved her all the way to one side of the driveway. Then set the brakes, deployed the leveling system and opened the slides. Tyler again taking a ride to the extended position.

This afternoon we plan to go see The Great and Powerful Oz at the local Imax theater. I love the movie The Wizard of Oz and the musical Wicked. Can't wait to see this prequel. :D Everyone have a great day and stay safe. Aloha y'all

Good morning Lori, Red and all who follow.

Lori, have fun shopping.

Red, good for you! It won't be long before you and DH just cannot stand it anymore and plan a trip somewhere. Even just the closest campground will do.

Our youngest brother and our SIL will be in this afternoon. SIL and I planned for brother to drive to the French Quarter this evening for a cloth napkin diner. We figure that way she and I can have a drink or a glass of wine with our dinner. We won't be driving.

Hope everyone has a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

Morning! I'm at work this morning  :( Like Red said, the weather is wonderful again today but is supposed to go downhill by Sunday with storms rolling through Sunday afternoon/evening - then another gorgeous day on Monday. Just in time to go back to work.

I really can't wait - have a camping trip planned for April. I want to get out there and camp. But Spring Break starts this weekend and everything was full up on the weekends two months ago. Then comes Easter. When you have to depend on the weekends - :( :( :(

I took a cruise on the Carnival Truimph 2 years ago out of New Orleans. With all the problems on its last cruise, Carnival has really been ramping up the ads to former customers to try and get more cruises booked with all kinds of perks. I just got another e-mail from them.

Good morning Lori, Dawn, Red, Carolb, Kathleen & all that follow!

Lori, I hope you find the shoes you're looking for.

Dawn, I'll bet there are all sorts of neat places to have dinner with cloth napkins. Enjoy!

Red, we keep Teddy's bed under our dinette, too. In fact, he's in it right now.

Carolb, enjoy your high school reunion!

Kathleen, so glad it's starting to look like spring in Normal.

Last night was supposed to be the last night in the 30's and today we'll get into the 70's. It'll be so nice to be able to be outside enjoying the warm weather. It won't be long and we'll be leaving Florida to start our trip north. Hope the warmer weather will stick around. It looks like the ladies at Nan's are having a great time. If it weren't for friends coming here, we would have gone, too. Nan, hopefully we can get there next year! Have a super Friday everyone!

GOOD MORNING ALL!

Today is warmer, not windy at all, so far, and sunny as usual. I am hoping for a warm-up now, so I can get some more swimming in.

I got an invitation to my nearest neighbor's birthday party for their 3-year-old tomorrow, which I am looking forward to, as I have loved watching all the kids here play their games outside every day. All the parents of all the kids will be there, too, so I can get to know more of them. I am trying to think of a neat birthday present I could give Emily that all the kids might use in their play. Any suggestions? I have thought of some big fat sidewalk chalk so they can make some hopscotches on the cul-de-sac here. I think I will head over to the dollar store and look for some things. In the meantime, I am open to some suggestions!

I also have a flat of pretty orangey flowers to plant about the outside of the house today----can't remember the name of them, but I love them. Yesterday I trimmed back my roses and watered all the plants and bushes in the front of the house. We desperately need rain.

So sorry to hear about divorce things going on----poor innocent kids are the ones who really suffer, and us parents, too. Marriage is not the institution it is bragged to be, in many, many cases. I am all for living in complete and utter and wonderful sin for years before signing anything legal, just to make sure you married the person you thought you did! Hugs to you families undergoing the upheavals.

I am not anywhere near thinking of heading home yet----I will stay here until I can't stand the heat, and until my driveway back in the mountains is free of mud. If I have enough money saved for the trip home, I will consider taking a longer time getting back there than I usually do----maybe exploring some new campsites along the way.

By the way, my two desk chairs that I got such a "bargain" on from the auction house slowly go down on their pneumatic tubes after I raise them to the level I need.....very not good! I guess I got what I paid for! Any suggestions for my being able to fix those? (And, Beth, the guy who was in charge that day was the brother of the owner, so he was not about to lose his job----if others have bought the remaining chairs and are having the same problem as I have with these, I imagine the owners have heard about it! I am wondering if they knew about the fault all along.) Oh well, they still make wonderful sit-around-the-campfire chairs for GTGs at their lowest level.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day wherever you may be.

Happy travels!

Kathleen, when I lived up north, I tried to pick up all the accumulated poop when it was frozen. That was much more pleasant than the thawed mess.

Today is a rainy day in Arizona. These are so infrequent that I kind of enjoy them, just kind of. I'm thinking about heading to the hospital and getting a blood test done. It's a fasting one, no appt needed. So have too decide before I put anything in my mouth. Decisions, decisions.

Good Morning,

Cool and cloudy - there were dark clouds but they seem to have passed, but rain is on the way.

I've been resting my voice and getting some good sleep - feeling much better this a.m. Turned on the DirecTV radio yesterday and it is still going - soothing and cuts down on the outside noise. Voice probably wouldn't have been so scratchy if I hadn't talked Carolb's ear off! :) The days with her were just so comfortable and fun!

Carol, I can see you will have 4 dogs before you leave the southwest!! :) Have fun at the reunion!

I would never make it as a member of the Gator gang baking pies!! They sure looked yummy tho.

Dawn, enjoy New Orleans! I hope to get back there one of these days.

Made a master list of all the things to be done and things scheduled before I leave here - the 31st will arrive quickly!

Red, good for you to 'play' in the drive! When I was learning to drive, we had a short driveway but my siblings were 5 and 6 and thought going forward and backward in the car with me was great fun.

To all have fun shopping, visiting or whatever is on the agenda today!

Hey, Good Morning everybody,

A bit late in posting here this morning, but finally gonna makke it. Ms. Tessa had an appt. for her every two weeks checkup with our vet. This time she got a good report. Everythings in order as much as it can be and her phosporous levels are way down, which he is very happy about and one of the reason she is feeling so much better, eating and just being her doggy self. He said now, we just need to keep things stabilized. Only concern is the bacterial infection that is being very stubborn. So he put her on a round of Amoxcillian again along with the antibiotics she's been on. Hopefully that won't upset the tummy and stop her from eating again. Her BUN and CREA levels are down to a more normal range, so this all indicates that the kidneys are functioning enough to keep things under control. At least for now. With kidney disease, you just never know. He said as long as her red blood cells don't take a nose dive, we should be fine. Back in two weeks again.

As for me, I'm hanging in there. Not much pain and what i do get is manageable. I'm still waiting for word at to when my Ultrasound is scheduled and being this is Friday, I know it won't happen till next week now. I hope. Stuff doesn't get done on weekends as you know. Between Tessa and myself, I need to buy a goldmine

It's a beautiful sunny day here today too. I'm hoping to go outside for a little while this afternoon. Sometimes it's nice to sit out in the spring sunshine. If the road gets mushy at all, I will take the girls out for a little stroll. Sassy so does want to go. I watch her looking longingly out the window and you can almost hear her sigh. But it's too icy now. I could walk the road in the park campground, but not in mood for doing a mile right now.

Weighed myself this morning and see I have not lost 8 pounds so far. Course some of this weight loss is getting done the hard way. Oh well, it's going off, so I guess I can be happy about that.

Red, I can jsut picture you sitting in RED and playing around with everything. Way to go. Wonder if you neighbors thought you a bit crazy or stir crazy, backing up and down and adjusting and all that without leaving the drive  Sorry ot hear about the family issues out there too.

Yes, Kathleen, spring is coming. I can feel it in the sun and also in the daily temps, the slow thawing and freezing that's going on here now. We still have a bit under 2 feet of snow here, but it will gradually work down. I do not trust March and know that just about the time we are almost to bare ground, a big ol snowstorm will come along and bang, dump us good again.

Irmi, hard to believe it's going to be time for you to gradually work north. Bet you are happy being where you are rather than at home getting clobbered from this latest snowstorm again. Although I know your parents are getting antsy to see you and have some of your delicious cooking again.

Hope all the can't slelep issues, not feeling well issues and everything else go away for those of you who are having them. Pretty soon everybody will be scattered to the four winds again, enjoying summer travels or summer jobs waitng for you. Wish I had some wheels so I couuld hit the road too, but first things first here.

Well, I'm off and going to see what I can get into here. Dust is going to carry off the house pretty soon, if I don't run a rag around here, so should go do that. You all have a wonderful afternoon out there. Enjoy the lovely weather.

Good dog Tyler. Guess he thinks he on a trip. I like the Wizard of Oz too. Last year one of the channels played it everyday for about a week and I must have watched it 3 times. Since I never go to to the movies it will be a while before I get to see the new movie. The star of the show has been on the talk shows this week. Don't even remember his name.

I am getting emails from Carnival too. I decided after my last cruise that there isn't anywhere I want to go with 3,000 people. After all the problems the cruise lines have had the last few years my DH would disown me if I wanted to go on a cruise. It's about the same way with bus tours. The last bus trip I went on one of the drivers was scaring me. The club I belong to is trying to get a bus trip together. If they go some where I want to go I'll meet them there. ;)

Florida is really going to be lonely when everyone heads North. Guess you all will have to move the party North too.

Bet there aren't many places that have discussions about frozen dog poop.

Let's see.... spent 10 years in a relationship in sin... made no difference when we split up. Needed attorneys and agreements, only difference was didn't need to go to court. Don't believe that living in sin makes a split up easier. And the split up is difficult whether married or not. That split was just as hard on me as my divorce.
