Just as I pulled into a boondock site at Quartzsite, I got an e-mail from Carolb that she was leaving Phoenix. I got an early start and she a late but no big deal. I can use some solo time to mellow out - it was a morning!! I have absolutely nothing serious to be stressed about but......

Sorry to hear of new and/or ongoing health issues with some of you and your pets.

Time for R&R!!

I'm also headed north, but very slowly. I leave here at Sebastian on Sunday and head north to a campground near Flagler Beach for two weeks and then even farther north for another two weeks. I will be leaving Florida for good on April 4, making it back to Michigan in late April/early May for my usual doctor and dentist appts.

Cooler day today, but that is fine as I love the chilly nights for sleeping. Even had to turn the electric heater on briefly last night/

The good news is that even after lowering one of my blood pressure meds in January, my blood pressure is still a bit low. (I take three different ones, mostly as a result of having to change meds completely 6 years ago when I had pancreatitis.) So starting today, I am cutting another pill out, one I take in the morning. I will still take the evening one of that med, however. I took my blood pressure just a few minutes ago, and it was still 118/67!!

This life is definitely agreing with me, both physically and emotionally!!

Rabbits!

Still don't know why we do that. Anyway, I had coffee this a.m. and a Mexican farmer cheese omelet with a corn salsa over the top. Would have preferred a blueberry muffin, but oh, well ...

I love GSDs as well. Beautiful animals. And the Malinois sounds like such an interesting dog. I always like to have dogs I can pick up. My little Annie is just 13 pounds. I call those "football dogs" -- those you can just carry like a football.

Going to be close to 70 degrees today here. Not bragging, just what is is.

Happy travels Lori and Ernie. You two have such a good time.

My life is so quiet here. Just as I like it.

It's going on 6pm here, but promised I'd check back in when we landed and were settled....Nice wide open CG with some trees....sites are fairly wide so the neighbors aren't on top of us....Friendly folks, so far....The suns been in and out all day, but chilly....at least it isn't rain..... We have full hookups and a level site....what else do we need... :D We just got back from supper at "The Pink Pig"....nice little place...seafood and ribs....it was good...and only less than a mile from the CG... ;)

Okay, I'm done for now....Hope everyone had a good day....

Good evening all
I've decided to hang around FL a few more days to let the Dogwood Winter cold snap pass. Dogwoods are pretty here in northern part of state.
Nan and I went to Camping World today - always a dangerous situation for me, especially in her company. I do now have 1 skillet plus some LED lights, cords, etc that were missing.

What the pic doesn't show is both tails were wagging. Still need to come up with a name for 'little sister' - she's a rescue, about a year old - they think she is a Belgium/German Shepherd mix - roughly 40-45 pounds - won't get much bigger. She's about as sweet & mellow as they come. Looking forward to touring the country with her.

Hi Catherine:

How about naming your new pup "Nevada"? Then you'd have Sierra and Nevada - a nod to the great state of California and where you no doubt will spend some time with your kids in the future :D . When I was a kid we had Australian Shepherds named Rebel and Yankee.

Ha! Love it, Sandy.
We're trying out Rosie for a bit.... My youngest daughter (who drove home from Lawrence today to meet her new baby sis) had a stuffed bunny named Rosie from the time she was itty-bit. Rosie went with her everywhere, to sleepovers, to Bolivia, even to college. This darling pup is so sweet & since she's going to be my traveling companion for the foreseeable future, we thought Rosie might be appropriate. We'll see if it sticks... :)
But I will mention Neveda to Gaby (DD) & see what she thinks... :D
