Just checking in to let everyone know I'm alive and well...cold and overcast here with a little drizzle thrown in. My sister left a while ago, sure was good to see her. Of course about 3 hours in to the visit yesterday she managed to throw in that I should sell my motorcycle and maybe I shouldn't be traveling around by myself. I turned to her husband and asked him if she had had any horse related accidents in the past year ('cause she sure wouldn't tell me, LOL!) and he said yeah, a horse bit her on the hand and ripped the skin so badly her tendon was showing, then she got an infection there and now has permenent damage to her middle finger. I told her, well, geez the only damage I've had this year was...hmmmm....Oh yeah, nothing! Not from the rv, or the motorcycle and I didn't even roll the RZR this year...yet. So maybe you should sell your horses and go traveling with me, it's a lot safer!!

Looks like everyone is moving right along, making cookies and preparations for Christmas. Paulette, my oatmeal cookies always come out flat, too, but they taste good and I figure that's what counts. I made some pretty tasty choc chip cookies for my sis and sent them home with her. They were to good to stay here!!

Hope Maggie's not run into this storm, it's pretty cold! It was supposed to be down in the mid 20's at night at my sisters in Snowflake. Have I mentioned that I'm ready for summer already???

Li, are you gonna be retired in time to come to the Quartzsite GTG? Sure would love to have you there!! It'll be a lot different than it was when you drove thru there on your way west!!

Funny sister story Sharon!!

What are the dates of QZ? I'm seriously taking some time off, but a road trip does have some appeal knowing I don't have to travel on weekends! How long is the drive from LA to QZ? I took two days, with low mileage, so I could be sure to drive in on an early Sunday AM! When are you traveling Sharon?

There were two guys in a boat that were going after the manatee to
see what they could do....I sure they will do something or call wild life.

Li, I think the girls are talking about the 19th for Sheila making Indian Tacos, but Beth is thinking about being there the 15th or 16th. I can go anytime since I no longer have a BF. Used to be I was at Superstition OFV that w/e doing some heavy duty jeeping. I'll probably be out there about the time Beth gets there and stay thru the w/e, maybe a little longer. I need to take my tow bar into Blue Ox to be gone thru and whenever they get done with it. They're pretty busy there. It's about 255 miles from LB to Q. You'll either have to leave at 0:darkthirty or leave mid morning and do it in 2 days. An alternative if you want to leave that early in the week would be to drive to my house, 80 miles, spend the nite and we can caravan the next day, Tues or Wed. No traffic leaving from here, it's all going the other direction.

Anyway, there's a thread in the GTG section, check it out! As added incentive, there's a fantastic mexican restaurant near me that has the best enchilada sauce that will ever pass your lips!!
