Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Saturday

I'm actually sitting out in the rig with my coffee. I just love the little fireplace in here. It's just an electric light dancing around, but gives that ambiance. You can have the light show with or without the electric heat blowing. It is a bit chilly this AM and Tyler went right over and curled up below the warm air. I'm trying to get Tyler to spent time in the rig so he won't freak out when we leave him to go sight seeing. So far, so good.

Getting ready to take Tyler for a walk. He needs to get used to doing his biz on lease again. He's had the freedom to just run the yard when ever he wants. This is good for me as well. Gets my butt up and moving :P

Yesterday we were successful widening the gate. We took out a big fence post and a six ft section of fence. It is now a double gate...allowing a much bigger space to make that 90 degree turn when backing the rig into the driveway. Basketball hoop gone giving a lot of room to park the rig next time. :D then there will be room for all the cars as well :P

Everyone have a great day and stay safe, specially if you are on the road. Aloha,
Redwahine

Good morning Red and everyone!

Coffee, orange juice, eggs, bacon & sausage are ready, so help yourself to whatever suits your fancy.

Red, I've seen the fireplaces in the campers, and they really are nice.

It's cool this morning in Wilson NC but it's supposed to warm up into the low 70's later on. The weather here has been delightful and it's so nice being able to sit outside all afternoon. Our Bishon, Teddy, loves camping, taking long walks or just sitting outside watching the world go by. Dinner will be steaks on the grill with some kind of sides.

I hope all of you are ok, wherever you are.

Red, glad you got your gate widened. When we first got Belle, I used to take her out to the 5th wheel too while I was cleaning or organizing in there. Since she was blind, Chuck and I never wanted to leave her with anyone so it was important that she knew all her environments right from the get go. She went on her first camping trip when she was just 4 months old. The stairs going up to the bathroom/bedroom area were the first steps she learned to navigate. All the dogs have turned out to be great travelers. I bet Tyler does really well too since you are giving him time to make the 5th wheel home also.

I love my fireplace too. On cold mornings and evenings, it provides great ambience and warmth for the livingroom. We had a big electric fireplace in our house too. I loved it. After having real fireplaces, it was great not having to clean out the ashes and sweep the chimney every fall. The "flames" are realistic enough that it's comforting to have it on. When it's chilly and I have the heater part going, Luke likes to lay in front of the fireplace. He likes that heat blowing on him.

This is going to be a busy weekend. Still did not get everything emptied out from under my bed yesterday. Paul and I went to Walmart one last time before heading to Burnet on Tuesday. Right now, I have my bread maker and George Foreman sitting out waiting for room under the bed. I bought a cordless Shark yesterday that only weighs about 2 pounds at the most. It is supposed to do floors and carpet so should take care of the tile and the small amount of carpet I have. I have been using the broom on both. It should fold straight and store under the bed too. Will be glad to have my supplies like paper towels and cleaning products in the rig instead of outside. Will make it a lot easier I think. I have given myself this weekend to get everything re-organized and then will get all Mom's banking business taken care of on Monday. Going to have another cup of coffee first though. Really glad there are no plans to go anywhere today.

Talked to Barb and Robert for a while last night. Be sure and ask about her bathroom door mishap. I was laughing so hard hearing that story.

Everyone have a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

GOOD SATURDAY MORNING TO ALL!

I wish I had an electric fireplace for in here, but even if I did, there really is no place for me lounge in front of it! My electric heater with a thermostat and blower works well, but I would prefer some flames, fake, or not.

Looks as if Tina and Sarah are having a fun meeting of the minds! How exciting to live close enough to go for a few days visit to a friend's with an RV! Have a wonderful time, you two!

Barbie, I will get some Zicam today to try it, as this is the first cold I have had in several years, believe it or not. I guess baby runny noses are a sure-fire way of transmitting those viral invaders!

Temp up to 56 degrees now, and the sun is still out (fingers crossed here) after a wild night of thunder-boomers and heavy rain and viscious winds. Mandy and I will go to Walmart today for supplies and I will go pick up my Symbicort inhalers at the local Kinney drugs. I hope Dinah's prescription arrives via mail before too long.

Irmi, thanks for the great breakfast!

'Til later....happy Saturday. OH YES----if you have clear skies, don't forget to watch for the Orionids Meteor Shower tonight. Those in the AZ/TX areas should have a great view. So should we, if the skies will just remain clear. Get a lounge chair, lay it flat, dress according to temperatures, and have a drink of choce to lay back and watch for some fireworks from the heavens!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Good Morning,

Woke up to a cool, sunny, 48 degrees F this morning. It should get to the low 80's today. :)

Not to much going on for today, some chores to be done around the homestead, then perhaps some fun later in the afternoon. :)

Have a great day!

Glad you got the gate worked out Red. It is nice when you can keep the rig at home. Dawn, there is a Walmart at the north end in Marble Falls which is about 10 miles south of Burnet in case you need things from there after you move. Soos, my son and DIL swear by that Zicam but it's important to start taking it as soon as possible after you feel a cold coming on. Hope it helps.

Carolyn--I think our low was about 62 and up to mid 80s today. We had a couple of nights about mid 50s and now rising back up even at night. Should be heading your way.

Colleen, good to know that Walmart is so close to Burnet. Paul is having a small freezer he ordered for his rig sent there for pickup.

Good morning ladies.
Boy we could use one of those fireplaces here - only in the fifties so far and feels down right cold.
I am so thrilled to have Tina come for a visit but she was trying to escape the cold. At least we have bright sunshine but will not really warm back up until Monday. Only in the 70s for the weekend but nights cold.
Wishing all a great day.

Good morning -- enjoying coffee!

I have a mental picture of everybody enjoying their fireplaces -- lovely! I don't have one, but last winter I ran a video on my big computer screen that was the next-best thing. It's almost time to haul that out again.

Have a great Saturday!

Good day to all! Can't say good morning here in the east anymore. I had planned an excursion to the Cedar Key Seafood festival today, but didn't find anyone to go with me, so decided I had plenty to keep me busy here. There's a festival closer in nearby Micanopy I may go to this afternoon or tomorrow afternoon with a friend. Just not seafood, sigh.

So I got ambitious and cleaned out and organized my two outside compartments. It'll be sooo much easier to get to things in there now. I put out some feeders for the songbirds which hang out in the little trees and bushes around my site.

No need for fireplaces here yet. It is beautifully sunny, in the 80's, and a nice breeze. So Sarah and Tina, just keep on coming south. Weather in Florida is at its best right now.

Red, spending time with Tyler in the rig is a good idea. When I was transitioning I left Rudy too soon, thus screens are gone in both doors and a strip that runs beside the door will have to be replaced. Of course I waited several weeks, taking him with me, even leaving the AC running while in WM, etc. I started with a few minutes staying close by so I could hear him, gradually moving up to half hour and longer. He is now the Rudy I had before. I tell him to get on the sofa, I kiss both sides of this face and tell him I love him and will be right back. He is still on the sofa when I return. When I put the key in the door, I hear him jump off the sofa. This is a tremendous relief as I was very concerned for when I traveled. Our babies really want to please us. I do miss my fireplace. It was gas in the house but when my ex and were together we had the real thing. I loved putting the wood in and building a nice fire. It was worth the trouble and it heated the house as it was a built in stove with glass doors.
Liz and Dawn, you are so industrious. I will need to do some reorganizing soon. I have a Honda generator still in the box. Tony (son) will help me with this as he does everything else. Today he will put in my new microwave. I was hoping they made a micro/convection that would fit in the space but they don't, maybe someday. I hope 3rd time's charm as this is the 3rd microwave.
Enjoy your weekend, all!

I don't know what your space is, but they make small conv/micros just for rv's. I replaced my microwave with one a few years back. And the one's in Class B's are better than the one I got. Someone telling you there isn't one - well, doesn't know what they are talking about. You won't find them at Walmart, etc. And make sure if you purchased there, that they vent properly for the space you have - as these are made to vent differently, also.

It is Saturday isn't. ? I have been so in a world of my own and with so much happening. Well hubby and I had poor Dawn ready to wear a diaper. LOL. She laughed so hard. And so did we and then. Well I'll have to continue this one when I get my laptop. Omg. I am starting to laugh but I did tell part of the story on my blog. Which I have to catch up on..

Today we finished cleaning up the rig and got her all flushed and spic and span and closed up for my time here and when I went to park her. Darn should have taken a picture of that one but it's so close a hair might not make it through. And all because someone parked the wrong way. Just make ya wanna send them to the moon! But I squeezed in don't sneeze :)

Now it's put everything away in the house another day and I'll be done. Then we are having company on Monday for dinner so tonight I 'll make a pot of gravy (sauce ). The when hubby heads home I am sleeping for a week.

In fact I could use a nap now. Sounds good to me. All take care and soon I'll be some what normal. Maybe

God bless

Thanks Beth, I think I will measure and do some looking in the internet. My new one is still in the box and it might go back to dealership...I just took his word for it..silly me!
