Good Morning Carolb and all who finally wake up out there,

Yep, slept in this morning. Didn't get to sleep till midnight last night, had a "gotta go out" with dogs at 5:10 a.m. and then time for pills at 6 a.m. Back to bed for about an hour and a half. Just got up a bit after 8 too.

I too played catch up with the poss yesterday on Coffee, but didn't post myself. Wanted to get the day rolling. Dawn, sorry to hear abuot your granddaughter. BJ indeed is hanging tough with the new pup. Beth is having some campground issues, hopefully she will get them straightened out even if it requires moving. Carolb, you sound like you are in heaven right now. Michigan will be here for another time. Soos is ready to roll when the time comes it sounds like. Seems like she just got back to her mountain home and now it's time to head for her southern one :) Was just thinking this morning, that it will be November in a couple of weeks   Heck, the Christmas stuff is already in the stores and we haven't even hit Halloween yet. Been out browsing around looking for fall decoration type stuff to make some more Fall Welcome signs and think I am finding any, NOT. Fall is just barely over 3 week old on the calendar and already we are starting the holiday stuff. Jeeez. Give me a break!
But I have enough to do 2 more signs than off to the Holiday ones maybe.

Woke up to a trace of snow on the grass again this morning. Second time this week. Had some on Wednesday night going into yesterday morning. So this is the 4th time in a week that I have seen the white stuff. Next week's forecast looks pretty good though with exception of Wednesday when it might rain. This weekend looks like a washout. And I have friends going camping for the weekend too. But they are heading way up into the Upper Peninsula along the Lake Superior shore and it looks like tomorrow will be a good day up there. Till Sunday anyway. Their last trip for this year. Going up with some friends who are celebrating their wedding anniversary.

Not sure just where today is going to go. Sun is shining and it's supposed to be a pretty decent day. Too wet to work outside and really don't have much to do out there right now, tll the leaves come down. Do have some pine needles to rake and haul off, but they have to dry up first. Need to get a new spark plug and some gas for my leaf blower too. ON today's agenda with a trip to town definitely planned. Charlevois, over on Lake Michigan where Maggie was earlier this summer, is having their annual Apple Festival and had considered going over there. All the apple vendors from various orchards are there, at least those who have apples this year< along with a huge craft show, so all kinds of goodies there literally. But was down south of me to Houghton Lake yesterday, so don't know if I want to make another drive.

Time to get moving here. You all have a wonderful day, you hear. Talk to you later.

GOOD MORNING CAROLB AND ALL!

I woke up to ice all over my deck and all the furniture out there as the rain froze overnight. It's still only about 32, so the ice persists. It's been a long while since I slipped around on that form of water! I guess it's really time for me to hitch up now.

However, I need to go to my safe-deposit box this morning to see if I can find the title to my trailer to make that refinancing of it a reality. I am almost positive I put those important title documents in there last year when I got the box. Guess I need to make a list of what is actually in there when I look today!

The interest rate on a new loan would be about half of what I have been paying for several years now, and the time would shrink from 12 more years to five before I would own the trailer. I would need to come up with about 50 bucks more per month to make that happen, and I should be able to do that.

Dawn, I am shocked to read about the tragedies your family is going through. Please take care of yourself as you deal with all the agonies of others, and know that we are all sending strength and healing powers your way. Stay in touch, and cry when you need to.

Off I go to face the world of banking and then hitching up to move out to my daughter's house tomorrow for a couple of weeks before I haul myself south. Happy Friday to all.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

It is hard to believe the fall is speeding by so fast! It's been in the sixties for most of the week but tomorrow they say low eighties! Things improved quite a bit with my new little one yesterday. I think he is getting used to the newness of everything and starting to adjust. I took him to the place I go for coffee yesterday afternoon and my neighbor went along. He wouldn't sit in her lap going but did coming home plus he let a lady who say down and talked for awhile pet him. Will take him again today and also for a ride in the RV, this morning when we went out he put his front paws on the steps of Elsie and looked at me like let's go Mom!
Soos, sounds like it is definitely time to head south! Good luck today with the banks. Sue one of these days maybe you will also be headed south for the winters. Carol stay safe on the road, glad you are enjoying the trip so far.

Good morning to all :P I've been reading posts to catch up. I am still shocked every morning I go to the kitchen sink and open the blinds and there is this big 5er right in front of me. I still can't believe it is REAL. We are going to make room for her to stay here for now. If we remove the basketball hoop (regulation size), there is room for her on one side and there is still room to get the cars in and out. We have to move the fence post that holds the driveway gate and add a second gate so DH can back her in and out!! Have to do this before we leave for the TX gtg or we won't be able to get her back in the driveway without the neighbor's help. I guess I could just make an appt with neighbor for our return

We are having summer like weather here and I don't like it. I loved our beautiful weather at the Mississippi beaches. Got home and it has been in the 90s and humid. I want to work outside and get stuff done on the rig, but it is just too hot for me. I guess this is what they call an Indian summer ??

I'm sending prayers to Dawn and her family, hoping Beth's CG works out, and good thoughts to all who are having hard times and wishing everyone a great day. If you are on the road, stay safe. Aloha y'all

I am finally logged in before afternoon   I only slept until about 7 this morning. Been feeling so lazy not getting up until around 8 for the last week or so. Not much happening here. Had a horrible migraine yesterday so did not get the apple pie made. Will get it done today. Still waiting for CW to call with appointment time to get Mom's Jeep ready to tow.

Soos, it is definitely time for you to head south when there is ice on your deck.

Red, I remember that great feeling of looking out and seeing the 5th wheel sitting there waiting and beckoning. Chuck and I tried to go somewhere at least once a month while he was still able to. The only time we didn't were from mid November through January since we did not want to deal with snow or ice pulling the 5er.

BJ, sounds like you are going to have a great new traveling companion. He will love it. I have been so proud of all my fur babies. They are doing great at this new lifestyle. They don't much like the travel days, but just go to sleep until we get stopped.

Barb Zeee is going after her rig today to head south the first of the week.

Hope everyone has a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

I would hate to wake up to snow or ice. It has warmed back up here to the upper 80's. I was up and down several times last night so I was trying to sleep in. My DH's friends think nothing of calling a 6:00 am. Grrrrr He doesn't hear the phone but I do.

I need to find an extension cord and drill to work on the container we keep the cat food in at the barn. For one of the hurricanes a big rubbermaid trash can floated in. It's the kind that has the dome top with flaps on the side. The other night I went to the barn about 9:00 and there were 4 Racoons in the cat food container. The handy things just open the flaps and climb in. I'm going to try drilling some holes and wire the flaps closed. Hope the top is too heavy for them to push up or I will have to put a lock on that too.

I'm trying to make myself go to town. One of the trucks needs to be inspected, we need a new hose for the air compressor and I need to mail a couple of packages. Now I remember why I had a job. It seems like I buy a roll of tape every time I need to mail a package. I would think I could find a roll of tape, NOT.

A bit late for morning posting, but it is still only noon in Arizona!

I had a really weird night. First, I had trouble getting to sleep last night because I had slept in and the rain was really noisy on my roof. I read in bed for quite a while, enjoying the high open window over my bed with the cool breeze blowing in. The rain stopped about 2:00 am.

Then about 3:00 pm one of the donkeys that roam wild here came near my window and woke me up with its braying! He hee-hawed for quite a while then left. It was pretty funny because he sounded like he was shouting right in my window. About 8:00 am I woke up again to the sound of the patter of little feet on my roof. Turned out to be a couple of birds. Not sure if they were looking for puddles up there or what, but sounded loud. Finally got up, moved my campsite to the one I have reserved for several days, and went for a walk.

Did my grocery shopping, but running out of breakfast stuff. Need to pick up some fruit, so not much for breakfast. I am simmering some of my homemade barbecue sauce so I have it to go along with the ribs I bought for later this week. Yum!

Try some of those real soft ear plugs. They are a life saver in a rainstorm especially if the head of your bed is in a slideout.
