MONDAY WITH HEAVY FROST

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

MONDAY WITH HEAVY FROST

Postby Nasoosie » Mon Sep 24, 2012 7:13 am

GOOD MORNING ALL!

When I woke up, it was 26 outside, but I see it's warmed up to 28 now! The sun hasn't made it over the mountain ridges yet, so I suspect the rays will melt the frost in a hurry when it does. I will try to take some pretty fall color pictures today as I head to town for my doctor appointment. Our paved road out to the main drag is like a tunnel of color now.

I managed to back my old trailer into its winter shelter yesterday, and it took my only about 10 tries and 20 minutes to make it----I am getting better! The first year it took over an hour, lots of tears and swearing and fretting and panicking. It is hard because I can't get the truck and trailer in line with the front door of the shelter due to an old apple tree in the way. Hence, I need to 'back-turn' the trailer to line it up, and that leaves one side of the shelter out of my vision as I back up. Sigh! Sure feels good to have that job done!

After the doc appointment this afternoon, I will tackle the stapling up of the snow fence to the deck railing top to make room for the kids to push heavy snow off under the railing. I always staple that fencing down each spring to keep babies, kids, and animals from falling off the high deck.

May you all have a fun day wherever you may be and whatever you may be doing.

Soos, those temperatures sound so cold. Going to be in the mid to upper 90's here again today. Higher than normal temps. You are getting much better at backing that trailer!

I am going with Mom to talk to her doctor today. I need to find out what to do about her edema. One of her legs has been weeping since yesterday morning. I am going to see if he will increase her Lasix. Not sure if that is spelled right. It is hard for her to keep her feet up on the hassock because of her knees. Her knees also make walking hard for her.

Not much happening around here other than that. Hope everyone has a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

The weeping doesn't sound good, Dawn. Hope they can get it all under control.

Yes, it's going to be in the 90's here as well. I'm jealous of those with cooler temps and fall color! One of my friends asked on FB where to see fall color in TX - we have Lost Maples and if it wasn't so far, I might be tempted to hit there next weekend - although truly there won't be color until November.

Morning Soos, Dawn, Maggie and everyone else ...

Brrrrrrrrrrrr those temps Soos...it was a nippy morning here in Pa as well but not that cold...however I have flannel sheets on the bed plus the trust worthy Electric Blanket... I have one in the motor home as well as the house in Florida...and boy I use them...I keep telling everyone...just get that bed toasty and you is sleeping like a logs...hahaha...of course my little brat (now I call her a brat ) Ms Reba she is in her PJs and tucks down in too....

Dawn, hope your Mom will be ok.. I've had that problem with Weeping legs and have had mine blow out as well..awful but the skin gets so taunt and eventually it loses elasticity and well, you'll see mine and it's something we deal with all the time...I'm sure the Doc will maybe have her take it twice a day like I have too.....please keep us updated...Praying everything will be ok...

Maggie...I'm willin to share our temps with ya..LOL I love the color changes but when the weather does..well I grow wings ....and fly south...just like them birds ...hahaha..

Today I've got my laundry going with my cheapo detergent..yeah I'm lovin' it..and then I'll have the Crock Pot going..making a meat loaf and the other little crocker will have mac and cheese...hey I'm working hard at this ..You know those Monday Blues...hahahaha...

Oh Soos, before I forget.. you asked me about Ms Reba, did I have to have that surgery done..and the answer is "Absolutely" I can not let her go with this tumor so large..it's grown huge since last winter and I tossed it over so many times... If I don't it will rupture and in that case you know what that out come will be... Nothing in our life is comes ever easy, well not in mine that's for sure...So all I can do is pray everything will be ok...and if it doesn't ..well, I did the best I could.. plain and simple..

Oh, I found this magnificent dessert and Ms Dawn has so willingly..(hahahaha I volunteered her) for the Texas GTG which I wish I could be the (wait let me think about this one ) was gonna say "fly on the wall" but hell you all would swat me..uh oh...hahahaha any way... it's a Cinnabon Roll Cake.. I'll put the recipe up in it's proper place hahaha.. and you all can feast your eyes on this baby...and it's an easy do-er .....and I can't wait to hear all the goodies about it..

That's my story and I'm out of hear cause I hear my beeper (washing machine from Hell) going off...so Have a great day and Safe Travels and again as always and from my heart to yours

God Bless
Zeee and Critters 3...

PS...Ms Reba is eating slowly but getting there :) with the help of me spoon LOL.. read about it on my blog LOL A Little Ticked on Sunday ...

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Have a doctor's appointment this morning. They want to check my blood again to see on whether to adjust my coumadin up or down. They now have me taking 7 1/2mgs a day. This is getting to be a pain in the poop!!! And speaking of such? Plus we have also been discussing the pro's and con's of what and how to use or not use our RV toilets???? Has anyone been on Lactulose? That stuff is evil. Trust me if you were using it? You would have no hesitation in using the RV toilet for #2. Dang BP meds also make me go P and the Lactulose makes me go Poo I sure hope they don't come up with or make me take anything else to make me eliminate something!

Dawn for sure know that I am keeping your Mom in my prayers!!!

Temp here is a little chilly this morning. I know when I crawled out of bed I didn't waste any time getting dressed! Brrrrrr!!! Haven't really noticed any coloring of the trees going on here. But then again I don't really get out all that much. Stay home all the time so other than taking Shade out to do her business I am like a mushroom!

OK, need to get my butt out the door and get the doc appt over and done with. Hope ya'll have a great day and that you also remember to do so safely!

Love to all

Good Morning everyone... my furnace has been running so I know it is cold outside... coffee is so good this morning... no breakfast yet...

Echo I use my toilet in my motor home all of the time. When I am parked I open the grey tank but leave the black tank closed. about once a week I close the grey tank so there is some water in it. Then a couple of days later I open the black water tank, put several gallons of water in the toilet let that drain. Close the black water off. Then open the grey water tank. When you are done and both levers are closed you put the digest in the toilet and some water then flush it down. Wow someone else may be able to explain it easier... this looks complicated but it is not...

Soos I am amazed at how far you have come. makes me smile and smile and smile!!

I have had only one inquiry for my Craigs list ads... that is for the Auto Harp... hope they think about it and buy it.

Glad Ms Reba is getting better and better!

Have a great day everyone

Still morning here by an hour or so, so guess I'm safe. Son, nephew and I went out early for some target shooting. He got a new rifle, not sure what it was but looked like it would drop an elephant so he needed to go to an actual rifle range to try it out. He took 3 rifles and a handgun and I took my 38. I fell in love with his 22 rifle and liked his 22 leuger better than my 38. Had a great time even if I do suck, but seeing as how anyone fool enough to break into the rv isn't going to be all that far away from me I'm sure I can hit him. The way I was shooting today if I aim for his man parts I'll get him smack in the chest. And that's pretty much all I care about.

DIL went back to work today after having a week off so I volunteered for dinner duty tonite. Rosemary chicken, broccoli salad and garlic biscuits. Son is making some pasta. I thought about making a pie but a nap sounded better. Son goes back to work for his 2 week stint on Wed, so I'll be out and about doing a little exploring after Wed. Or maybe not. It sure is peaceful here. I'm really going to hate leaving with the weather so nice, but I also know that it won't be long until it's way colder than I like.

OK, getting close to nap time, I didn't sleep for beans last nite and need to make up for it. Have a great day, all!
