It's Saturday!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

It's Saturday!

 AMorning all,

Well, it's Saturday for some people. For those of us who work weekends, it's just another work day, but closer to end ofweek. My Saturday and Sunday's are Monday and Tuesday.

Just a quickie this morning as it's getting time to head out the door here. Breakfast is in tummy, I"m dressed and ready to go, dogs have their pills, lunch is made etc.

Haven't got a whole lot to offer for breakfast this morning. Mostly eggs and sausage. Can't offer toast as my toaster died this morning   So guess it's off to the store to buy a new one. This one was a Cusinart and I really liked it. Will have tosee what's out there as it's been awhile since I have had to buy one.

Having a cool spell of fall weather here these past couple of days. Some little rain showers and highs in the upper 60's, lows in 50's Feels good, but a bit chilly after the warm summer weather. Typical weather for here this time of year. Last night I was watching the sun (which peaked out for a short), hiting the tops of the trees across the road, turning them gold against the grey sky. Sure looked like a fall scene. Harbinger of the season to come.

Been doing some fast reading through the mornng posts and seems everybodys doing okay for the most part. Dawn, I'm so glad to hear you finally got the closing. Now to start a new chapter in your life. CArol, know what you mean abuot being overloaded with stuff all over. I hate clutter and it drives me nuts when things seem out of control. But you are making progress, hang in there. A bit at a time and before you know it, it will be done. Glad you found a place to fix your genny.

Been wondering about Bikerchic (Linda) of late. She hasn't been on the forum much and I wonder how her job is going this summer. Should be windng down pretty soon, like mine is. About 6 more weeks and I'm done.

Tessa has perked up dramatically since we stopped that last antibiotic. The bladder problem is still here, but she's much more herself now. In fact, when we returned from our short litttle walk yesterday, there was a merry but short bunny chase in my yard after we got back. Mr. Cottontail knows his way into the thicker stuff, so they came up short. Was cute to watch. So we shall see what the latest test shows on Tuesday.

Well, gotta run. Have a wonderful day all.

Good morning Sue & everyone!

Sue, it's hard to believe that the summer months are almost over. I'm so glad to hear Tessa is feeling better and hope she continues to improve.

We had some rain yesterday and there is a chance of showers again. Even though we haven't had nuch precipitation this summer, the grass continues to grow and still needs its weekly cutting. Our BIL dropped off his log splitter for us to use to cut the wood from the trees taken down last week. That will be a big help. While I'm not stacking wood, I'm putting up spaghetti sauce. Hopefully next week I'll have enough tomatoes to make some more sauce.

My father is back in the hospital, so I need to pack an overnight bag so I can spend the day and night with my mother. She is legally blind and needs help around the house plus I'll take her to the hospital to spend time with Dad.

Have a good day everyone and take care.

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

OMG! I don't know if it's ever gonna stop raining here! Every dang day at least 2 or 3 times it rains. Now we are wondering if we are ever gonna get the old trailer cleaned out. We have until Monday to get everything out and the trailer moved out. If we don't make it we are gonna be charged double rent. Pain in the patoot but we can't put the boxes in the back of the truck and take to storage in the freaking rain. I am ready to pull my hair out. It really bites that I am not suppose to be lifting and carrying anything cause of my hand so we can only move stuff if Kelly is here. I just might say the he77 with it and do it myself no matter what. I can try and wrap my hand and wrist to support it and hope for the best. Grrrrrrrrrrr   Dang hand has really got things screwed up. Guy who is getting the trailer never showed up yesterday to put the wheels on so the CG manager and his SIL put them on. Still have to tighten down lug nuts and get the trailer off the blocks and on the ground.

Only thing that I have planned today is moving stuff IF the dang blasted weather cooperates! Kelly your fingers crossed for me please.....

Gonna go look and read to see what ya'll have been up to. Hope today is fantastic for everyone. Stay safe and have fun everybody!

Love to all

Nice and cool here in Sevierville, Tn but I'm sure it'll get warmer and humid as the day wears on. Had a nice little thunderstorm here last nite and even tho it scares the fur kids I enjoyed it. We don't get that in SoCal. Lazy and slow this morning plus the time change is screwing me up. I had a short visit with Irene last nite (she's a member but doesn't post much) but rushed back to Hope when it started pouring buckets, thundering and lightening. Worried about the kids.

Better get busy, just thought I would check in and let everyone know I'm still alive, kicking and traveling. Tomorrow is Asheville, NC for a week and then start moving down towards Lousiana. My left jack won't come down and I'm 99% sure it's the switch. May try and get that repaired in Ashville or at least see if I can find one and do it myself. Depends on if there's one in stock somewhere. Hope everyone has a great day!

The bad weather woke me up this morning. We only got about an inch of rain but some places around Lafayette got 5 inches according to the weather channel. Most has moved off to the East but it's still raining. Hope Vickie and Ronnie didn't get a lot of it camped on the coast.

Sharon, sorry you are having a problem. It's always something.

I just saw a big flash and boom and it's raining hard again. My DH must be stuck at the neighbors. Three of the cats were on the porch, I didn't have to beg them to come in.

Echo, hope it quits raining so you can get moved. I think this rain is headed South East.

No plans for today. Guess we will just watch it rain.

Well, I know the rain isn't headed west. We missed an opportunity yesterday. Fortunately, we have gotten some rain earlier in the week.

The truck decided to misbehave last night. I was going to take it in this morning anyway to get the freon checked but it decided not to start last night. When it finally did, we took it straight to the repair shop. I've already gotten the call that it's the alternator. Two months ago it was the starter. Ack! And of course, Mark had to work today so I'm without a car. I'm just glad his aunt and uncle cancelled this weekend - they were going to take me out to eat for graduation then spread Mark's grandmother's ashes.

You can send any extra rain our way that five inches last week barely settled the dust! It is lovely and cool with no humidity this morning, what a wonderful relief!!!
I've been reading with interest the Fridge topic with interest as I have never used mine except when on electric. It doesn't switch automatically to propane and so far I have never tried to get it on using the propane. I have an appointment at the local RV repair shop Monday for them to turn it on and to see if my generator still works as I have never had that on either since the demo when I bought it last July  I think the propane is turned off sooo, believe it would be hard to start either the fridge or generator until the lines are 'bled' or ? and I do not want to mess with that.
I also notice many saying they turned their propane off when they bought gas. I've wondered about that but have also read where some people have never turned theirs off or turned them off only when defrosting. So.....how dangerous is it and should just the fridge be turned off inside or do you turn off the propane outside? That seems like a big hassle but, don't want to go boom!
I'm off to enjoy this cool weather!
You know, we haven't heard from Barbie since hummm wasn't it right before she went boating with her former boy friend? Hope she and Lola are doing well in their new home.

Good morning from sunny Oregon!

Took my trailer to the dealer yesterday to fix a stove problem. The front burner of the stove didn't work during the walk-thru so they ordered a part for it. Turns out I had a propane problem which was probably the cause of my water heater problem last time out. They gave me a new propane tank so that should fix it.

Leaving next Thursday for 3 nights of camping with Karen (Oregonluvr) in Central Oregon. Then, will use the time before the gtg in September tracking down the missing rv tub that has the other things I need for the trailer. I think its buried underneath the stacks of boxes in the shop.....sigh...I moved back in with my Mom after my Dad passed away in December so just dumped everything in the shop to be sorted out "later". I guess "later" has arrived

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Good Morning from Dawson City, Yukon

I am so far behind on the posts here - and everywhere.

Irmi, I'm sorry to hear about your dad.

2 nights in an RV Park and 1 to go! As of today, our 107th day, our camping average is $6.20 so you can tell these parks have been few and far between!! I am feeling luxury in that I don't have to put everything away daily - shower stuff, coffee pot, etc. The limited free Internet quit working on my regular laptop so have the netbook out.

LeRoy has finally had a chance to look at my blogs and is telling me of all the weird layout problems......how come I never see those?? I think the photos are the most important.

Yesterday I did one load of laundry, vacuumed, scrubbed floors, sinks, shower, etc.

Today, now that I have finally gotten up at 11, we will walk the town and go to the Diamond Gertie's show this evening.

BJ, I have been posting mostly on the Campfire thread... Lola and I are doing good, altho I don't think she is very happy here with all the cats and dogs around here. One of the dogs has decided I am his new BFF and sits at my door all the time now, so that doesn't help at all. I am looking around for a place of my own so we can both have some quiet and privacy.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
